That is how I felt about the series. I never played it, but I know what happened from people on discord. They talk a lot about it and i agree on the soundtrack. It was awesome. It was only a patch, but I would recommend looking on a pirate website for this. I do have a link to the actual patch if you want it. It's fine. some of us were like that at some point. I may be wrong here, but there are not that many good examples of anime that is better than the source material. The only one I can think of is Stein Gate. I watched it before I read the novel and I liked it. I don't watch tv much, but I follow the manga and news from certain shows a lot.

The sister from Wagamama High Spec is a serious gamer. I cant think of her name right now, but I know she is one.

This is why This is why I don't watch the anime based on a VN a lot. I just avoid them unless it is recommended to do so. In my case, it's like the .hack series where watching the show was recommended when playing the games.

I actually got into VNs while looking for more games to play. I came across Nutaku when I was looking for games to play and I played there for a month. But instead of giving up, I found Mangagamer and JAST and purchased a few games and I was blown away by the quality of the games given. I got into them real quick after i found those two sites. VNs gave me a purpose to do something and I thank them for giving me a new thing to write about. As for the VN that got me into writing them. It was Katawa Shoujo. I like the story a lot and the charaters felt genuine to me for something that was being played for free. I thought if they could do it, why couldn't I.

I know I am late to post one of these, but I thought I would do one anyway. My name is Jardic and I am a writer. I got some things on the back burner of my mind and I dream to have some VNs to share when I am done. I have a ton of ideas for my works and I can always take any ideas you may have to consideration. I'm currently working on some stories I have written last year and I have been thinking about putting them on the net after I get them published. I mainly play VNs now. Before, I would play video games and be done with them. I put down the controller and started writing when I was in high school and I never looked back since. I still play games on my pc, but not as much anymore. My love for VNs happened 3 years ago and I got into them by boredom from playing video games. I found my calling from this medium and I have written a lot of stories that my be a base for VNs. I found purpose through them and I have been happier the past three years than the time before finding VNs. I hope you all can learn a few things from me and I want to learn a few things from you guys. If you guys are wondering, I am always on here, so if you want to chat, I am here. Have you tried the first two games in the When They Cry series. The Higurashi series of games. They were the first two in the series and if you want the full story for this series.

@onorubThe modern VN started with YU-NO (the 1996 original, not the remake.) according to sources I found. Nintendo in the 2000's credited it for making the genre popular in the first place. It started back in 1983 with Portopia Serial Murder Case if you were curious.

Makes sense. I'm one of those people who like watching shows in there native language and I think that most dubs should go in a tire fire. I can understand the reason behind VNs as well since it does feel like a chore sometimes to read when I am bored out of my mind and want to play something else.

I remember having a Genesis when it was dying out and the PS1s were hitting the market. I remember very little about it and I remember the announcement for it and the Saturn like the back of my hand. Makes both of us old don't it.

I remember Gundam and Ghost in a Shell a lot growing up and I never looked back since. I was always into Video games when i got the Ps1 for Christmas in 95 and I have been playing since them. It's not a guarantee that it will work, that is just my first step if nothing works. If saves were an issue, that is my first attack of choice. Go after all the .SAV files if you think they are corrupted as well

@Seraphim88 have you tried deleting the folder and starting the game? I do that a lot and it fixes save issues for me.

It is worth a shot, Thanks. However, that statement I said is kind of true in a way. You choose who you want in a marriage and not so with the one you're born in. I just want to leave the family because they just don't understand the concept of accepting others well. Most of my family are genuine southern rednecks and they are racist as hell. I can't even be myself around them at family outings because I'm afraid of them using my status against me. That is why I am wanting to find the family by choice. I don't want to be around those people anymore.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I actually thought you and @Dreamysyu were still talking about Higurashi. I got confused halfway through the conversation and that was my fault. I forgot that came out recently.

@Silvz It was a question aimed at @Dreamysyu or @Seraphim88 about there conversation on Higurashi. I was just trying to figure out what they talking about.

I haven't played the When They Cry series yet, but I have been following what I could read and I have been trying to figure out what the problem is. Is this about the main games or is this about the side stuff that was on the consoles?
