All they had to do was give the vn the same vibe that Golden Boy had and it would have all been groovy.

I'm playing it right now and I agree with pretty much all that you said, I also wanted to write a review for this dammit! What I really don't care for is the obnoxious amount of referential humor its just not funny. Just the amount of it is staggering, like that long segment in which they referenced breaking bad. Also the boob physics are annoying as well. Tits don't move like that!

Twenty minute long hentai scene? Jesus that sounds almost nightmarish. Well I've no real intention of ever playing a Sakura vn again but at least they don't seem quite so awful as they used to.
I've been finding that the yuri protagonists I've come across in vns have been leaps and bounds better than most regular vn protags. For the most part anyway. I mean most of them don't even have faces.

I'm still peeved at the whole Sakura Fantasy thing because I was genuinely interested in how the series chapters progressed, but nah let's just permanently leave it in an unfinished state so we can work on Sakura Ditch Digging

Well I know there is a torrent drifting around with the patch already in it. The problem would be getting the first to actually work on your pc.
I think the possible reason why is that it's a Broccoli game and they backed out of the foreign market years ago. But yeah I really wish some company would at least try and license it.

This was a good review maybe I should play one of the Sunrider games at some point. It sounds like you are hungering for some Galaxy Angel though.

But anyway, this is from Shimanami Tasogare

They should have made it a full fledged pirate game, it would have been amazing. All the assassin bits really just drug the whole game down for me, the whole story was inane gibberish and I hated having to do the same damn tailing missions over and over again.
 
The sea shanties were real amazing though, I really loved setting sail.

Really nice review! I absolutely loved Berseria it was definitely one of the best rpgs I have played and I only put it below Vesperia.  The characters were definitely part of why I loved it so much. I pretty much loved them the moment they were introduced (well Laphicet had to grow on me) Velvet was such a great protagonists, truly among the best.
I do agree about the combat it get's pretty repetitive especially if you played some of the more recent Tales games. I also thought the ending was a bit lackluster but I still enjoyed it.

Yeah I hate the whole but we're both dudes lines that pop up whenever you have a same sex couple. You see that in yuri stuff to a certain extent where they'll have a huge existential crisis because they both notice that they are girls. It's like yeah no shit. Also fuck the whole rape=love it's gross and repulsive no matter how you attempt to dress it up.
