  1. I love Voices of a Distant Star, it's amazing how compelling a 25 minutes movie can be, apart from that I really enjoyed Akira, Princess Mononoke, Perfect Blue and Ghost in the Shell, I actually prefer movies because I always lose interest in series before I finish. I've been meaning to watch this for age's but it's supposed to be really depressing, not that I dislike that sort of thing.
  2. Finished Tsukihime today, it was pretty great, I'll probably go straight to Kagetsu Tohya while it's fresh in my mind, either that or Fate/Stay Night, not sure.
  3. Symphonia's still one of my favourite games It may just be nostalgia but I play through at least once a year, though it hasn't aged particularly well. Shadows of the Colossus is great, I just wish there wasn't so much downtime between boss fights, that's the only negative really, I spent more time riding that damn horse than fighting the bosses. Another of my favourite moments is in Mass Effect 3
  4. Yes there's a patch which replaces the original art with the PS2 art, looks a lot better. I highly recommend it even if you've watched the anime.
  5. My favorite moment is probably the Abyssion boss fight in Tales of Symphonia, the first time I fought him I was pretty under leveled and it seemed like it took me 30-40 minutes to beat him down and I only just won, also the boss battle music is awesome. Also the 4th or 5th (not sure) colossi in Shadows of the Colossus, the flying one, despite being one of the easier bosses was a lot of fun.
  6. 1. Azumanga Daioh 2. Mobile Suit Gundam 3. Akira 4. Voices of a Distant Star 5. Elfen Lied 6. Baccano! 7. Neon Genesis Evangelion 8. Perfect Blue 9. FLCL 10. Aku No Hana I'm not terribly up to date with Anime to be honest, I'm very bad a sitting down and watching a long series, I usually get bored before I can finish them.
  7. I didn't see Cross Channel or Ever17 unless I missed them, the're pretty good. Also I know it's not relevant to the topic but I was shocked to see you gave Saya no Uta a 1, that's pretty harsh
  8. I think its a good idea to buy them whenever you can to support the creators, though a lot are pretty hard/expensive to obtain. I have a handful of localised ones that I got from JAST or JList, such as Yumina, Kana Imouto , Demonbane, I haven't played most of them yet but like owning them. I also own the Japanese copies of both Higurashi games as well as Rei that I got for dirt cheap somewhere and both Higanbana games.
  9. I think the characters in School Days are supposed to be unlikeable, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the characters get what's coming to them, though its a pretty bland game apart from the 4 bad ends, I had to slog my way through the 21 endings and it really wasn't worth it, it's also incredibly glitchy. I'm glad to see Higanbana was on the list, not many people seem to have played and both games are excellent.
  10. Other then that I am going to try another Route. The first time you play the route you don't get the proper end, after you finish Refrain you can go back and get the True End. Just started Hisui's route on Tsukihime, I'm enjoying the 'Far Side' routes more than the 'Near Side' routes, I didn't really care much for Arcueid or Ciel. It's a shame that Satsuki doesn't get her own route though, I really like her character.
  11. Yeah I have a couple of Battle.net friends but they don't play Hearthstone, the problem is that you can't add people you play randomly, it's a shame because I've played against people with interesting decks that I'd like to have a rematch with, there's almost no social interaction in Hearthstone.
  12. I used to read lots when I was younger but stopped around highschool because I was lazy, reading Visual Novels has actually got me back into reading books in general. My first VN was probably Phoenix Wright but I didn't realise it was at the time, but the one that started me properly was Higurashi, I didn't realise it was as long as it was so I kinda threw myself in at the deep end.
  13. I'm from the North West a small town just outside Liverpool I've only read about 40 or so VNs, Little Busters, Saya no Uta, School Days, Narcissu, 999, Cross Channel, I'm not really too picky on what I read. I'm actually planning on reading this soon, just finishing up some others before I do, it sounds like something I'd enjoy
  14. Yeah I'm playing Tsukihime at the moment, I've had it on hold for ages after two routes and finally got the drive to play it again, I'm enjoying it a lot more the second time around.
  15. Sure thing that'd be fun, I don't have any battle.net friends who play it, it's weird that you can't send friend request in game though.
