  1. It's 100% going to be localized by NN in the near future.
  2. You can also read Hokenjo, which was written by the same author and has an English patch made by none other than myself... But it's currently going through post-release QC, also by me. Give me a week to finish.
  3. And it works. Silly me for overthinking. One more question. How should I go about repacking them into a patch? Edit: I figured it out. Fun stuff
  4. I'm rather new at script extracting so I would like some assistance. I'm trying to extract scripts in the Kirikiri/KAGE X engine. KrkrExtract didn't work when I tried. As error message came up saying it only supports krkrz engine. I extracted the data.xp3 using Garbro, but the scenario files were in .ks format. I looked some stuff up and figured I needed to use a hex editor and according to the guide at the start of the topic: script format: encrypted kstools needed: hex editorstatus: testedinfo: open the *.ks script into hex editor, and insert "FF FE" at the very beginning, usually only applied for akabeisoft and its imprint. But I'm not familiar with hex files so I don't know what this means. I'm just trying to get the script into a readable format for potential translation. Could someone help a guy out?
  5. Snow's translator here. No, really. The VN's very reminiscent of Kanon, and I would say the story is better. The individual routes are more interconnected too. For an old nakige, it's a good read so long as you're okay with SoL. And I recommend waiting 2 weeks from now before playing it so I can finish my own readthrough/check. There's still typos and stuff that need fixing. We'll update the patch files afterwards. Our project head kind of rushed the release.
  6. Nice work so far! I'm currently nearing the end of Ciel route myself with my playtime at nearly 100 hours due to all the times I had to stop to check a dictionary. Talk about hard reading. I'll probably go back through some parts again once the patch is done to check myself.
  7. Because I like reading, I like the Japanese style of storytelling, and I like the first-person sense of immersion VNs provide. Plus the music, art, and cute girls.
  8. Because anime romance has to be dragged out as long as possible across several seasons before any progress is made. And many of them are based off of light novels, which usually do have some kind of conclusion after a long story.
  9. I seriously need to find a decent Japanese program. The one at my uni is pretty bad and from what I've heard from my classmates that have studied abroad, that program wasn't very good either. I quickly realized on day one that I made more progress with a few months of self-study than they did in 4 years in a classroom. Also, the speaking experience was virtually nonexistent. When I get the chance to apply abroad, I'll try and pick your university if possible.
  10. How decent was your Japanese before you went, and how well would you say that initial half-year did to improve it? Also, what do most abroad students do for food?
  11. I'm looking forward to anything Lose and Favorite myself
  12. According to the latest update, the Hoshimemo re-edit is still in progress and Eternal Heart likely won't be released before it. It's unlikely that they'll be out this year.
  13. That's the one I was missing. Before you get onto her route you have to complete the Macra Puaba quest, which unlocks after completing the Almocorn quest. I don't think the quest appears before the reverse confession event, so you'll be forced to confess near the end of the common route
  14. Figured it out. I had to complete a certain quest before getting into the routes. The one that was hinted in the tutorial section.
  15. I'm missing a CG (probably H-scene) even after completing a route and going through it again using the flower. Is there something I'm missing?
  16. From what I've heard, Sengoku Koihime is insanely long. Longer than SNK. Most everything Koihime series is long though. Even the fandiscs are excessive.
  17. To me, the companies can pick up as many as they feel they are capable of dealing with. I just want consistent intervals between releases with minimal delays and decent quality, especially on the releases I've been looking forward to. Transparency and progress reports are deeply welcomed.
  18. There's a good chance one of them is AoKana...
  19. Master Japanese for the sake of lolis. That's as noble as ambitions come.
  20. One of the higher-ups at Nekonyan said that he plans to get AstralAir translated if it kills him, so you might have that to look forward to eventually.
  21. Don't worry about the criticisms. I'm with you when it comes to Mare, she's just precious. [Favorite]'s other loli heroines are also lovely, but those VNs haven't been translated. Yet. As for what has been translated, Kuro (Cro) from Chrono Clock is the only one that comes to mind. I'm into the supernatural loli archetype.
