I'm back with another progress update.

The translation for chapter 8 is now under way. Currently, about 10-15% of the script has been translated.
As for the translation check, Danywar is continuing with his work on chapter 1.

We've been quite busy so there hasn't been much progress, but I'll try my best to work on it whenever I can get some free time.

Hello again. It's time to update you guys on progress again, so let's get into it.

As well as that, the TL total is up to 14% now. I'm proud of the guys for breaking new percentages each week.

1- Chaos Head is one of my favorite VN, I don't have that much memory about the interludes, but they are more or less all important. It's a very complicated VN, and the fact that you have fiew information on each interlude is weird. but as I come closer to the end, it made sense.
2-Yes and no, the real point is to understand how instable the MC is. You can check how this instability evolve as the story progress. If you really follow the story, you can more or less understand that the story is pretty crazy (New Gen serial murders which are more or less connected to Takumi, people trying to deduct you then set you as the serial murder, the upcoming of Shogun, the upcoming of the bloody Rimi, the girls holding D sword in the street, the drama with the little sister... All those event have an impact on Takumi. A lot of people blame Takumi for being a coward, but I'd like to see how they would react if all those shit happened to them). The delusion is more a way to check this instability than to have a real purpose.
 
4 I agree about the lack of information about the characters. That's because Chaos Head is linear while Chaos Head Noah allow you to enter a route for all the main heroines, and discover their history, how they became gigalomaniac etc. I remember you don't have that much information about Rimi, but you have enough for the story to make some sense.

First of all, thank you for your encouraging words ^^. Though it's not easy, it's been really fun. I didn't think I could get into it this much when I first started XD.
About the progress, it's going well, I guess? I've been quite busy with my studies so I can't spend as much time translating as before, but I still try to do it as much as I can. I just finished with the translation for chapter 5 the other day. I'll move on to chapter 6 soon.
As for the Interface, I'm currently trying to combine my translation with ZAP Interface Translation patch. The patch already has most of the images and interfaces translated. With that said, there are places where the translations aren't good enough, so I've sent them back to ZAP and ask them to edit my translation in. I'm still waiting for their reply at the moment.
I don't want to ask you to do something I've already asked someone else, so for now, I think I'll see how things are on ZAP side. If they aren't able to do it, I'll ask you for your help then.

I think its perfectly fine that he translates while learning. Sounds like a great source for learning to me, and he will gradually get bettet as he progressrs. Goid luck, and enjoy becoming relatively gpod in japanese if you keep up your motivation and keep on translating!

Ans that's why I still think the best way is to hold a project as secret...

I will be mean here, but let's be honest: So far, the people I saw complaining about the translations are native speaker (and very often the same persons) because the said translation don't match their taste in english literature, then they just go around and cry that the translation is bad because they don't have their share of slangs, americanized sentences (which often kill the meaning of the japanese sentence)
The sad thing is that almost all those people don't understand a single sentence in japanese (and funny thing is that none were never able to explain what was wrong in the translation when asked to). Just like Nier said someone, you just need someone, somewhere on the internet complaining, parrots have been reapting the same shit.
As long as you have no proof, you can say that personally you don't like the translation, but have no right to say that it's shit...

Progress update 10.17.2017
Hello everyone,
so after a short pause we are starting to translate the chapter 3.
In the meantime chapter 2 if being proofread and tested. Guys are around 35% at the moment so it will still take a some time until we release it.
As I mentioned several times already, the chapter 2 will be released for the feedback purposes so everyone who is interested in this project can help us to improve it as much as possible by going through the "demo" and telling us his opinion.
The rest (chapter 3 - 7) is going to be released together.

I apologize for bringing this old topic up again. But I've got some info regarding the Pure Pure.
I basically made a group some time ago and (re)started the Pure Pure project. However, I managed to get in touch with FOTS Dummyacct7 and he had to stop the project, because he is busy with his university studies, irl issues, etc...
He told us to wait a bit so he might get back to it, but he never did again... We "forced" him to update the TLWiki in March but that's the only thing he did...
But now our group is working (cooperating) officially with Hikari Field on the Tayutama 2 ( we lent them our English corrector so the game is not released with Engrish) and in the meantime the rest of the team is working on the Pure Pure. HOWEVER obtaining license for it is probably impossible because Klein (the game company who created Pure Pure) is dead. Their website is just half - working and no one responds to my emails... SO we decided to finish it atleast like a fan - made translation because this is one of the novels which deserve translation. The game itself can be still purchased on one Japanese e-shop, I even made a guide how to buy it for people who do not speak Japanese.
I post info regularly here so I hope someone who still waits for this project will be pleased.

You are a bit out of subjet here, I trust you when you say that you do it for the sake of improvement, for fun and everything. Maybe I wasn't clear enough, what I was calling a "waste of time" was to "bring back this topic with them". When they say that 18+ doesn't concern their work, no matter how you look at it, it seems most likely a lost cause. But if think you can change their mind go ahead.

Hey everyone, here are today's numbers
Tsugumi TLC has made good progress and Satsuki is somewhere in the fourth of seven story scripts.
We have also started another QC run on the prologue and early common route chapters to implement the new style rules.
78 mail contents have been translated and edited, but I have yet to finish about half of the image editing work.

Are you really planning to translate the whole game from scratch? If you ask Frank, maybe he'll share with you the missing % files. It will be shorter and more convenient that way, or worst case scenario, just the 2 routes?
Edit: If there is really something you would translate differently, you can still edit the old translation and release your patch once the full translation is done.

Hello and nice to meet you. A friend of mine pointed me to this thread so I thought I'd drop by.
First of all, I'm still online regularly, but I haven't been checking any notifications, not even from my emails. I'm really sorry for not replying sooner.
I didn't actually do everything alone, maybe just translating 2-3 routes, and when the team was reduced to one man, it became so taxing that I stopped my hands before I knew it. I also would like to see this game 100% translated. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know.
I can provide you with the already translated files, but it will take quite some time for me to find. I suggest you just extract all the needed files from our latest patch.
