    Summary
Is this cage hell or paradise?
They wake up in a white room remembering nothing――
The protagonist Takato Keisuke and 6 others are locked up in these hidden white rooms. His childhood friend Hokari Kanae, classmate Andou Miyako, underclassmate Makiba Rika, English teacher Aoi Natsuki, same year Byakuya Rinne, and classmate Manaka Nemu. While still confused about their unusual situation, a “mystery voice” suddenly speaks to them: “A game has now started.”
In order to escape the room, Keisuke is the “unlocker” and one heroine the “keyhole”. With an assigned act, he must “use the key”.
After hearing the unreasonable and immoral requirements to win, Miyako gets pissed and snaps on the “mystery voice”. Suddenly the lights go out. The girls scream. The lights come back on, reilluminating the white room. They can see Miyako bound to a grotesque torture device.
“Anyone who quits the game will die”
Her screaming begins in tandem with the electrical current. With eyes wide open in fear, she pisses and shits herself. Everyone else starts freaking out. However, Keisuke seemed to be getting aroused by Miyako’s appearance. That was his secret, his urge to assault and humiliate people.
However, Nemu could see right through him and knew. Nemu takes advantage, forcing the protagonist to submit to her as she brings her lips up to his: “This is a contract kiss.”
Keisuke was surprised by Nemu’s behavior but he wants to protect Kanae and decides for the sake of escaping, he will violate the others. Can Keisuke escape the white rooms and return to his normal life? Or will he hold back his own dark urges…?

Ending Guideline / Suggested Route-Ending Order
The game has endings for 4 different heroines from the start (Rika, Natsuki, Rinne and Nemu) and a unlockable one (Kanae), as well as various other endings, including a few Side Endings and a Main Ending. I recommended creating multiples save files for each choice. Go for all endings and choices if you want 100% of the CG, Scene Replay and Staff Comments.
    Route-Ending Guideline

    Aoi Natsuki
    Good\True End

    Makiba Rika
    Bad End 1
    Bad End 2
    Good\True End

    Byakuya Rinne
    Bad End 1
    Bad End 2
    Good\True End

    Manaka Nemu
You need to beat her Route to unlock Kanae's Route. I recommend loading a save file were you have to choose a girl (First Turn), so you don't have to see the prologue again.
    Bad End

    Hokari Kanae

Kanae have 5 Endings (Not counting the Brute\Devil End that is acquired in her route). You need to beat Nemu's Route to unlock Kanae's Route. This time I recommend starting a New Game.
    Bad End 1
    Bad End 2
    Bad End 3
    Normal\Neutral End
    Good\True End (Main End)

    Side Endings

    "Gas" End (Game Over End)
    Common\Standard End
    Brute\Devil End

    *Summary*
Kazana Island... A cozy, cool paradise where summer never ends.
The protagonist finds himself stepping foot into this island paradise as a transfer student, greeted by a mysteriously glittering sky, as well as the energetic island caretaker Ame, a girl-type AI.
After a bit of a rocky start, he settles at the dorms where a handful of new female friendships await.
She's a tomboyish beauty, but a bit of a loner: Himari Asamiya.
The manifestation of brains and beauty, and also student leader: Hazuki Murasaki.
The self-proclaimed "Daughter of Darkness", with a normal side too: Io Kouzuki.
Always trying to act the grown-up, but still a tease (your cousin): Noeri Fujishiro.
And the girl who embraces her role of making everyone happy: Ame.
How will you sculpt your everlasting happiness here in paradise?
A new love is about to begin...
*Ending Guideline / Suggested Route-Ending Order*
Dal Segno has 7 different endings, which include routes for 5 different heroines (Himari, Hazuki, Io, Noeri, Ame), a Normal End and a Grand End. Ame's route is only available after the first four heroine paths, and after getting all endings you'll unlock the ~Grand End~. You can follow the order bellow for a better flow in the choice making aspect of this novel or you can also do:
Hazuki --> Noeri --> Io --> Himari --> Ame Alternatively if you're looking for a different route order.
Choices marked with a star (*) only appear when you’ve finished the first 4 heroine routes. They’ll be skipped otherwise. Notes are left inside the spoiler boxes in case you follow the order bellow (for a minimal backtracking experience). Remember to save before making a choice!

    *Route-Ending Guideline*

    Asamiya Himari

    Murasaki Hazuki

    Kouzuki Io

    Fujishiro Noeri

    ~Normal End~

    Ame
You need to complete all heroine routes to unlock her path, you'll have to start from the beginning this time.

    ~Grand End~
You need to beat all of the above for this end to unlock.

    Extra: scenario recovery

So let's skip that part and look forward to the future! To what we can (and can't do) to make Fuwanovel great... again? Did we ever were great? Debatable.
So anyways, let's all collect suggestions of changes we want to see here in the coming year. If you're feeling a bit uninspired, I suggest to vote for one of the wonderful suggestions I make below. Because I thought long and hard (aka 3 minutes, rough estimation) in the well being of our beloved dysfunctional community.
Create a pinned "Translation Salt" thread under Visual Novel Talk, because lately every single release gets this; Rename Walkthrough section to "SeniorBlitz's Secret Dungeon"; Rename Translation Projects to "Fan Translations Burial Ground" because lately they're mostly dropped anyway; Create a board "Introduce Yourself and Never Speak Again" under Introduce Yourself because yep; Rename Community Coordination and Feedback to "Tay and Co. Burial Ground" (I'm sorry Tay, we love you); Create a pinned "Looking for Hentai Animation or Visual Novel (Powered by Monta93TM)" thread under Anime/Manga Recommendation; Rename Leaderboard to...... anything tbh no one will notice kek kthxbye

The Dorm Guardian vs. The School Guardian
Tohru Inaba has always dreamed of living a co-ed life. That’s why, when he finally managed to transfer into the renowned Rintoku Academy, he immediately fell head over heels for two Sakuras!
Nanako Sakura’s classes are strict, but at home, she turns into an overbearing mother.
Sakura Kirishima may seem cold and unfriendly, but she is always ready to lend a helping hand as the class representative.
These two girls are outwardly indifferent to Tohru, but put the three of them together and sparks begin to fly.
In the sakura-colored season of spring, two fussy Sakuras have been caught in a light-hearted love triangle.

The Internet Friend vs. The Childhood Friend
"You know how romance games always give the main character that best friend who tells him about the girls? I want to be that guy."
Naoki Fuse, the self-proclaimed best friend, is always ready to tease Tohru about his situation with the two Sakuras.
But, unbeknownst to him, he is one side of yet another light-hearted love triangle.
Akira Nitta has been Naoki's friend since before they could read and write, and is now finally living under the same (dorm) roof as him.
Kurumi Tachibana used to be Naoki's MMO raiding partner, but they were separated before she ever got a chance to meet him in real life or tell him how she felt.
"I understand him better than anyone else."
Akira and Kurumi have Naoki stumped for the first time in his life. And so, Tohru finally gets a chance to see things from the other side.
The curtains rise on this desolate showdown for love.

    ***Game Info (VERY IMPORTANT!)***
Sakura Sakura has four main scenarios, "The beginning of Sakura Sakura" has Nanako and Kirishima as the main heroines and Tohru as the MC, "Childhood Friend Love Triangle Battle!" has Akira and Kurumi as the main heroines and Naoki as the lead character, "It's been one year since Tohru met both Sakuras." is an after story of sorts and it's a direct 'sequel' to the first Arc and "Welcome to Tsukimi!" a bonus arc for completing all "Sub-routes".
The VN has a semi-enforced playing order, this means that you have to finish both paths at the first arc to unlock the second scenario (repeating the process on the second arc to unlock the third).
The choices in Sakura Sakura are devided between the in-game map and choice selection dialogues, options will be marked as such:
'#'=Is an action on the map
'-'=Are dialogue options (some of them will only appear when you start a sub-route so beware!)
[]=Honorifics (the choice changes depending on whether the honorifics are turned ON or OFF)
NOTE: Map options marked with a "(Sub-route)" by their side aren't required for progression. Any other choices are.
Sub-routes aren't required for story progression, they work like side stories of sorts, but are recommended for the unlocking of the final scenario and achievement completion (see bottom of the guide).

    I think I'm the weird alien here (which im not surprised) inside everyone that likes bad endings;
I mean...good endings are nice, as well as emotional ones etc. but, bad endings are more interesting in my opinion. I'm not a sentimental person but, I do feel a connection with something or someone if they click with me. So I guess in this case it depends on the game and the character's personality and traits. You know those 4th wall breaker games like Doki Doki Club and Kimi to Kanojo to Kanojo no Koi? Now, those are the ones that I'm talking about.
or crazy interesting stuff like Minikui Mojika no Ko, and The House in Fata Morgana series.
I guess it's probably because I like the twisted, but, nevertheless I like viewing differently so bad endings are fascinating.

Wow you're doing It again? You know stealing is still a crime, right?
Anyway to add something to the thread instead of repeating a gag and going away. I think the nasu-games pretty much describe what I look for in endings, the bittersweet True and Normal ends feel impactaful (with the exception of the more positive true ends like Ciel's and a certain maid (spoilers) in Tsukihime and HF's True End) like the Fate route's true ED is probably one of my favorite parts of the route, It feels genuine and It isn't trying to be bitter for the sake of bitterness, and the Good Ends feel like a nice reward, like a light in the end of the tunel giving you a more positive perspective of what happened. I'm biased toward Bad Ends so wwww, those tend to be my favourite to some extent.

I am a curious man (sometimes I paid the price ) and female protagonists are not a problem for me (I venerate Estelle, heroine of Trails in the Sky 1 & 2 ). And so i read half a dozen of Otomes. One was really great (Mystic Messenger), three were very good (Amnesia: Memories, Enigma: & Fashioning Little Miss Lonesome), one wasn't perfect but has very cool elements (Collar x Malice), one has a lot of potential but was a bit too boring (Code:Realize) and one was...a major disillusion (Norn9: Var Commons)
Edit : I forgot The excellent Will: A wonderful World (just like Enigma: It’s a a borderline Otome)

I mentioned it in past threads, I actually have a bit of a problem with depressing endings, as I'm a person with a pretty fragile mood and especially if it hits me without warning, this kind of thing can make me miserable for literal days. But, I think every kind of ending has its place and can be used well. Happy endings that don't respect readers intelligence and the story they're attached to are just as awful as the bad ones that include tragedy for the sake of edginess or empty shock value. I genuinely loathe the latter btw...
Sappy romantic endings are a safe bet on the part of the developers, but I will still take those over a poor attempt at being "ambitious" and concluding the story on some completely off note. Making an interesting ending in general is hard and I will appretiate any that gives me proper closure - straight up horror titles are the sole exception I accept, because I expect them to try to disturb me and throw me off my game. But once more, I'm mentally prepared for them screwing with my mind when I approach them.

A lot of Western otome (ex. Soulset) have yuri routes so I will play those without a second thought. Also, as I don't self-insert much when reading VNs, it doesn't feel that much different than normal VN romance even if there is a dude involved - by a large part because the protagonist is usually an actual character, with a sprite, personality etc. I know there are bland, self-insert otome with blank-slate protagonists too, but those are neither EVNs nor the ones that actually get translated to English.
In general, plot-oriented otome like Code:Realize or Cinderella Phenomenon should be highly readable for most people and I personally enjoy this kind of VNs to a reasonable degree.

The "True End" of a VN for me is whatever ending I liked the most. Simple as that.
Of course I like some sort of conclusion, but it needs to be satisfying and well written for me to acknowledge it as the Best/True End.

SeniorBlitz reacted to Akshay in What kind of ending structure do you prefer?
1.This isn't always the case. Tsukihime's true endings were pretty sad to the point where he had to make an alternate good ending to make people feel better. Rather than to force you into a certain ending, a lot of the times a true ending tries to show you an alternate perspective on events you have already seen. It requires information, which is shown in other routes, rather than just infodumping it in the true route. For example, in multiple route mysteries it acts as an "answer" kind of route, where everything you have learnt comes into perspective for the final twist. This doesn't make other possibilities (routes) untrue, rather they are part of the journey. They set your expectations and build up the ending. I wouldn't have enjoyed Cartagras endings so much without going over all the other ends first.
    2. All of fates routes are true and cannon including the bad ends and fandiscs. There is an entire set of magic called the kaleidoscope (second true magic) that explains this.

SeniorBlitz reacted to Dreamysyu in What kind of ending structure do you prefer?
I don't really care if one ending is considered more "canon" than the others (I honestly don't know why people care about canons that much). At the same time, even if it's not a "true" ending, I prefer VNs that have one ending that's supposed to be played last and gives some kind of the closure to the VN as a whole. Otherwise it sometimes starts to feel like a collection of loosely connected stories rather than one uniform work. A good example is Fate which does not have a real true ending, but the true ending to Heaven's Feel feels like a nice place to finish it.
I vote for OTO for that reason, but it's not like I care that much. The first Grisaia, for example, works absolutely fine even without a true ending, and Rakuen imo only makes it worse.

His childhood friend Riria was frantically trying to take off his clothes and begging to touch him. The truth is that she’s actually a succubus and was embarrassed not having any sexual experience at her age.
He was suddenly pushed into the school’s special dormitory. It was a girls’ dormitory full of useless demons: Yuu, the yuki-onna who was extremely sensitive to the cold; Arle, the mummy girl who is uncomfortable with tightness and loves the feeling of freedom; Emiri, the hopeless angel who has no sense of modesty and who is also his step sister; and, Miyabi, the witch who passionately develops a love drug to bring happiness to the world. The dormitory was built to rehabilitate them and since he was mistakenly moved there, he was assigned as an assistant to watch over them. His happy and troublesome days as a teacher for these cute but incompetent demons has begun.

You literally choose the route you want to enter at the end of the common path, this guide is mainly here to talk about the unlockables, since the main game is anything but hard. xoP
Anyway for the Unlockables and other stuff to note:
Side-Heroine arcs unlocks after finishing one main ending, all the main heroines routes are available from start. VA commentaries, concept arts, and other bonuses are unlocked as you finish the endings. They are located in the "Extras" section. Epilogues unlocks after beating all eight endings (They are also located in "Extras"). Most achievements you get from just playing the game, but, there are 3 that require some side-tracking, check the "Achievements" section at the bottom of this guide for that. H-scenes choices won't be included, just remember to select all options for full gallery completion. Also remember to save in the "Route Selection" screen. No recommended path order, just keep in mind that the side-heroine paths are shorter. *Route-Ending Walkthrough*

I have an announcement. The third title in my series of unconnected fan cases has released! Two in one year. I can scarcely believe it! You better not believe it either. It's a scam, it must be!
For this scam, I have used an online case maker specifically for creating Ace Attorney cons. Be scammed.
    Features:
Lies Tricks. Gimmicks. Verdicts. And so, if you're looking for any of those things, you can probably find them in any other Ace Attorney trial. But you can play mine, instead. I even made a tutorial for people such as yourself who don't know how these newfangled online case things work (you are one of such people, right? If you aren't, why aren't you playing my case yet!?)
What are you waiting for? For me to post the link? Good point. Go over to this entirely different thread and play it now! All you need is to click the link under the section designated: "Link:"
Ace Attorney Online is the website, forum, community, and free online case maker I used to create this fan case.
If you have any criticism, opinions, want to complain about the fact that I reused this entire section twice in a row, or just want to flame me, please leave your comments on either this thread or the other one I linked to.
Thanks for playing! ...If you do play, that is.
