  1. Life just been really busy recently so nowadays I don't have as much time as I'd like (Maggie seems to be in a similar position) barely have been able to play any VNs or even any games for that matter, though I do have some guides and a review planned, I'm almost finishing The House in Fata Morgana and I'm throughly enjoying It!
  2. You finally reviewed a BL game after all this time! It's good to see you still are at work! Also I'm alive btw LeL
  3. Second (and last) of the day, tomorrow I should probably catch up with the Sakura Guides, or make one for that trapge that got released recently. Though I won't make one for Midori no Umi sadly since... SakuraGame, like I let myself adapt nukige/winged cloud guides but SakuraGame is just no, lel.
  4. NekoMiko You can buy the game here, and download the 18+ patch at their website. Nekofuku Shrine is a small shrine located in a corner of Akihabara. It is dedicated to 2 cats that are said to bring in good fortune and expel any misfortune. The legend goes that 2 cats came to help the revival of the town after a huge fire burnt it down a long time ago. Although the ancient and honorable shrine has stood in a quiet side street of Akihabara for hundreds of years, its surroundings have developed, leaving it with no worshippers for many years. One day, a very unfortunate young man came to visit the old shrine. The 2 cat-eared girls in the appearance of shrine maidens, could not stand by and not greet their first worshipper for many years. Especially one riddled with such misfortune. The 2 cat-eared girls start living with the young man to rid him of his misfortune, but... It turns out that this is the start of a somewhat eventful and sexual cohabitation between the young man and the 2 cat-eared shrine maidens! [From VNdb] *Game Info (Read before using the guide!)* NekoMiko has 4 endings, one for each Heroine (Ayame & Kaede), a Harem Route (recommended to play last), and a Bad End for failing to enter any path. This guide will be assuming you installed the adult patch, otherwise some choices may not appear, as long as you follow the guide you should get 100% CG completion. *Route-Ending Walkthrough* Ayame Kaede ~Harem~ ~Bad End~ Credits: Based on Otaku Lair's guide.
  5. Hello, Good-bye You can buy the game uncensored at NekoNyan's website "Toubu Kaito" That is the fake name assumed by a young military officer from the United Provinces of Japan. He has been tasked with infiltrating Tenshudo Academy, located in Special District Morino, impersonating a transfer student. He is to cast aside his former identity, and 'become' Toubu Kaito. Special District Morino, also known as the neutral zone, is a region of historical significance, and right now, it is the one area which 'both Japans' have their eyes on most. Upon first entering Morino, Kaito decides to walk around and familiarize himself with his new home. After visiting many different places, he then ends up in a park harboring a memorial statue that honors a certain peace treaty. Kaito wanders a little too far, and finds a remote area where he is presented with a vast flower bed that covers every inch on the ground. And he is not alone. There is a single girl there, tending to the flowers. "Why hello there. How do you do, sir. Ah, I suppose I ought to say 'good evening' considering the time of day. " The girl gently smiles at Kaito, and asks for his name. "Toubu Kaito's my name... at least, it will be during my stay here." He responds to her, quickly, and in doing so, inadvertently reveals his 'secret.' Little did Kaito know, but this slight 'slip of the tongue' would be the single action to put an end to his hapless fate. One tiny mistake, and his life forever changed... "If it was a mistake that came about through love, then I think there can be nothing more wonderful than that." [From The English Website] *Game Info (Read before using the guide!)* HGB has very few options to choose, the only thing that you have to keep in mind is that Koharu only becomes available after finishing the initial routes and clicking 'continue', also keep in mind that after finishing a path and starting a new game the choices will have changed to the same options as behind the continue screen. The game also has an built-in achievement system and a mini-game, both are located at the bottom of the guide. *Route-Ending Walkthrough* Yukishiro May Rindou Natsume Saotome Suguri Hiiragi Koharu Only becomes available after finishing all of the above. Select 'Continue'. *Achievements* *Find Azrael! (Minigame)* Credits: Based on Otaku Lair's guide.
  6. Hara Chuchu!! ~Kameba Ano Ko mo H na Tenshi~ Translated by Loe Quality, you can download the patch here. One day, Taisuke finds a book in his room and opens it without knowing the secret. What appears from inside is a vampire girl!? He is sucked in by her..., and his life changes 180 degrees. "People who are sucked in by vampires can't control their libido and they keep asking for sex." Let's make your friends vampires, make them sexually excited, and have sex! [From VNdb] *Game Info (Read before using the guide!)* If you read 'Hara Kano!!' or any of the 'Hara~' visual novels you already know what to expect, there are six heroine routes and an unlockable Harem path that requires the other endings to be finished first, this guide will help you achieve 100% completion. Things to note: Map choices and menu’s are still half Japanese, save is “セーブ” and load is “ロード”. Choices in bold are harem options, you can safely ignore them if they don't appear. To reach 100% completion you need to make every choice and read the heroine afterstories that unlock as you finish the game. *Route-Ending Walkthrough* Kukuri the Delviroot Shiina Inori Nagamori Ena Shiina Kanade Nagamori Konoha Lynn Linmei Harem Unlocks after finishing all heroine routes. CG Recovery Credits: Based on Otaku Lair's guide.
  7. I stalled Sakura Dungeon since the end of 2017, boi. Umineko is way to long, I can barely finish my current joke read (blame holidays and family) and I really wanna play Fata Morgana (which I bought some months ago) after I finish my current main read.
  8. Haven't made a post in a while huh? Was quite busy this year so haven't been able to spend time here, or even read that many VNs ironically kek, but that is besides the point, so I was thinking about what type of text box style VN readers prefer, NVL (i.e. Fate, Saya no Uta, some brief sections of G-sen), ADV (G-senjou, Clannad, etc.), Both or something more unusual like Quarttet? IMO I think NVL is great for plotges, alternate povs (like the G-sen example), and narration.
  9. Found this. I might make/adapt a guide at some point but considering how the game is structured It may take a while.
  10. One of us... One of us... One of us....
  11. Wow you're doing It again? You know stealing is still a crime, right? Anyway to add something to the thread instead of repeating a gag and going away. I think the nasu-games pretty much describe what I look for in endings, the bittersweet True and Normal ends feel impactaful (with the exception of the more positive true ends like Ciel's and a certain maid (spoilers) in Tsukihime and HF's True End) like the Fate route's true ED is probably one of my favorite parts of the route, It feels genuine and It isn't trying to be bitter for the sake of bitterness, and the Good Ends feel like a nice reward, like a light in the end of the tunel giving you a more positive perspective of what happened. I'm biased toward Bad Ends so wwww, those tend to be my favourite to some extent.
  12. We don't talk about this game . It doesn't exist.
  13. Code Realize has a really awesome protagonist from what I heard from one of my friends. Heard similar things about Hakuouki and Collar x Mallice (tou people say the protag on the latter can be a bit of a goofball at times). From the Western side we have SoulSet and Cinderella Phenomenon that have really proactive leads. This doubles as recommendations to @LemiusK since all these have a good amount of choices and endings. EDIT: Can't forget about Cinders.
  14. Sorry I know my comment came out to strong kek, It is just that I'm tired of seeing some male VN readers skip otomes just 'cuz "It is a girl thing" but I didn't want to sound prejudicial at all. Also there otomes with voice acted protagonists even If a good portion doesn't (similar to galge), I can agree that Voice acting can add a lot to a character, specially a MC.
  15. Wasn't trying to offend you bro, Sorry mate, wasn't trying to generalize either.
  16. Unless you have really fragile masculinity/heterosexuality It won't detract from your enjoyment, I'm a Otome fan myself and actually prefere some Otome VNs over some galges, also since I tend to find female protagonists more interesting than male but that is Just me. The point is there are a lot of otomes that fits your bill quite well, even some freeware ones.
  17. Thanks for copying my thoughts, did you ask for permission first though?
  18. Sakura Sakura Lincensed by Sol Press The Dorm Guardian vs. The School Guardian Tohru Inaba has always dreamed of living a co-ed life. That’s why, when he finally managed to transfer into the renowned Rintoku Academy, he immediately fell head over heels for two Sakuras! Nanako Sakura’s classes are strict, but at home, she turns into an overbearing mother. Sakura Kirishima may seem cold and unfriendly, but she is always ready to lend a helping hand as the class representative. These two girls are outwardly indifferent to Tohru, but put the three of them together and sparks begin to fly. In the sakura-colored season of spring, two fussy Sakuras have been caught in a light-hearted love triangle. The Internet Friend vs. The Childhood Friend "You know how romance games always give the main character that best friend who tells him about the girls? I want to be that guy." Naoki Fuse, the self-proclaimed best friend, is always ready to tease Tohru about his situation with the two Sakuras. But, unbeknownst to him, he is one side of yet another light-hearted love triangle. Akira Nitta has been Naoki's friend since before they could read and write, and is now finally living under the same (dorm) roof as him. Kurumi Tachibana used to be Naoki's MMO raiding partner, but they were separated before she ever got a chance to meet him in real life or tell him how she felt. "I understand him better than anyone else." Akira and Kurumi have Naoki stumped for the first time in his life. And so, Tohru finally gets a chance to see things from the other side. The curtains rise on this desolate showdown for love. [From Steam] ***Game Info (VERY IMPORTANT!)*** Sakura Sakura has four main scenarios, "The beginning of Sakura Sakura" has Nanako and Kirishima as the main heroines and Tohru as the MC, "Childhood Friend Love Triangle Battle!" has Akira and Kurumi as the main heroines and Naoki as the lead character, "It's been one year since Tohru met both Sakuras." is an after story of sorts and it's a direct 'sequel' to the first Arc and "Welcome to Tsukimi!" a bonus arc for completing all "Sub-routes". The VN has a semi-enforced playing order, this means that you have to finish both paths at the first arc to unlock the second scenario (repeating the process on the second arc to unlock the third). The choices in Sakura Sakura are devided between the in-game map and choice selection dialogues, options will be marked as such: '#'=Is an action on the map '-'=Are dialogue options (some of them will only appear when you start a sub-route so beware!) []=Honorifics (the choice changes depending on whether the honorifics are turned ON or OFF) NOTE: Map options marked with a "(Sub-route)" by their side aren't required for progression. Any other choices are. Sub-routes aren't required for story progression, they work like side stories of sorts, but are recommended for the unlocking of the final scenario and achievement completion (see bottom of the guide). If you're confused on where are the locations on the map you can check this image for reference (Credits: Sol Press). ***Walkthrough*** ~The beginning of Sakura Sakura~ (Sakura Kirishima and Nanako Sakura) *The next arc will only becomes available after finishing all the routes in "The beginning of Sakura Sakura". Start a new game and choose "Childhood Friend Love Triangle Battle!". ~Childhood Friend Love Triangle Battle!~ (Akira Nitta and Kurumi Tachibana) *The next arc will only become available after finishing all the routes in "The beginning of Sakura Sakura" and "Childhood Friend Love Triangle Battle!". Start a new game and choose "It's been one year since Tohru met both Sakuras." (Choose the fourth option for Kirishima and the third for Nanako). It is highly recommended that you read Kirishima's path before Nanako's. ~It's been one year since Tohru met both Sakuras.~ CG Unlocks and ~"Welcome to Tsukimi!"~ *Achievements* By following the above guide you'll get most of the achievements, the only one you have to do some sidetracking is the "Toggle Toggler". Credits: Based on this Steam Guide by Sol Press. Achievements from store page.
  19. Passing here to say that I'll start to adapt it soon, from what I understand the "sub-routes" are side stories of sorts, and the game have four main scenarios (one for each protagonist, after stories and a bonus route of sorts). Correct me if I'm wrong.
  20. Yer a good boyo ECD/UMW It is always a pleasure to hang out with you even if you aren't that into VNs.
  21. I could try to adapt at some point, thou I'm confused on how the routing system Works.
  22. Sakura MMO Buy the Game (Steam), you can download the 18+ Patch here. Dive into the magical world of Asaph Online in this visual novel, where Kotone is a feared dark witch with impressive and extensive magical powers, capable of defeating the strongest of foes with a snap of her fingers. Every day that passes is the same, and Kotone soon grows tired of her monotonous routine. If only she could enter a world like Asaph, filled with fantastical creatures and frightening monsters… but Asaph Online is only a game. There’s no way a game could ever become a reality. 23. The Ditzy Demons Are in Love With Me Lincensed by Sekai Project/Denpasoft, You can buy the game here: All-Ages (Steam), 18+ (Denpasoft). Ren’s virginity is in danger! His childhood friend Riria was frantically trying to take off his clothes and begging to touch him. The truth is that she’s actually a succubus and was embarrassed not having any sexual experience at her age. He was suddenly pushed into the school’s special dormitory. It was a girls’ dormitory full of useless demons: Yuu, the yuki-onna who was extremely sensitive to the cold; Arle, the mummy girl who is uncomfortable with tightness and loves the feeling of freedom; Emiri, the hopeless angel who has no sense of modesty and who is also his step sister; and, Miyabi, the witch who passionately develops a love drug to bring happiness to the world. The dormitory was built to rehabilitate them and since he was mistakenly moved there, he was assigned as an assistant to watch over them. His happy and troublesome days as a teacher for these cute but incompetent demons has begun. [From Steam] *Game Info (Read before using the guide!)* You literally choose the route you want to enter at the end of the common path, this guide is mainly here to talk about the unlockables, since the main game is anything but hard. xoP Anyway for the Unlockables and other stuff to note: Side-Heroine arcs unlocks after finishing one main ending, all the main heroines routes are available from start. VA commentaries, concept arts, and other bonuses are unlocked as you finish the endings. They are located in the "Extras" section. Epilogues unlocks after beating all eight endings (They are also located in "Extras"). Most achievements you get from just playing the game, but, there are 3 that require some side-tracking, check the "Achievements" section at the bottom of this guide for that. H-scenes choices won't be included, just remember to select all options for full gallery completion. Also remember to save in the "Route Selection" screen. No recommended path order, just keep in mind that the side-heroine paths are shorter. *Route-Ending Walkthrough* Fujima Emiri Arisegawa Arle Kiritani Riria Aoi Miyabi Ayasaki Yuu Kiritani Reika Requires you to clear one route before it becomes available. Shibasaki Rin Requires you to clear one route before it becomes available. Ryuusenji Aifa Requires you to clear one route before it becomes available. *Achievements* There three (sort of...) hidden achievements, but aside from that you'll unlock most naturally. Credits: This walkthrough is based on info attained on this Steam Guide by Benjamin. Achievements from store page.
