And we're back.

Okay, time for some real talk.

I am currently very busy IRL. Something has come up that is keeping me rather occupied, and that will be the case for all of August. I'll spare you the details of what this is, but it's very important to me, and takes priority over my hobbies.

Anyways, because of this, I can't get all that much TL work done on this project during this time. And on top of that, I'm going to Japan in September to study abroad, and will be there for half a year. I am not sure how my internet situation will be over there, and I also don't know how much free time I'll have. So, this obviously means, TL progress will start to slow down. A lot.

Now, this does not mean I'm going to abandon this project. I still plan on finishing this, though as you can probably tell, I can't meet a 2017 deadline, since I'll have my hands full for the next 6 months.

For the moment, my plan is this:

I will do my absolute best to get the Minato route fully TLed before I leave for Japan. Or I will at the very least get it finished after a bit of time in Japan. I only have 2700 lines remaining on that, so it won't require all that much time. I will definitely aim for a 2017 release for Minato's route, at the very least.

After that though, I might have to put off the rest of the routes for a while. If I do happen to have a lot of free time in Japan, I'll definitely start TLing when I'm there. But, my studies comes first, so if I find myself with very little free time, I can't exactly throw away my degree just to get this TL done a little faster.

Which means, worst case scenario, Minato's route comes out, and I'll have to put the project on hiatus until Febuary of 2018, when I get back to Norway again.
 
I don't know what I'll be thinking 6 months from now, but at the moment, I definitely want to finish this project, even if it takes a long time.
I'll keep you updated on how the TL is going throughout of August, and will make one final update before I leave for Japan. (That update will hopefully be me hitting the 100% mark on Minato's route, but I can't make any promises.)

yeah, i know i havent made any updates in forever. this project is really in limbo atm. some complicated stuff behind the scenes with luna translations, some things were said, stuff happened, people came up dead or missing, its really complicated atm.  
 
something really major has happened to me recently thats got me thinking about some things. after getting stuff in order, ill have to take a closer look on this project and see where i stand on it. i wont get into stuff about luna and behind the scenes since.... theyre watching.  but just stuff happened..... this has been your update on kanjo to ore to koibito. literally just checked to make sure that was the correct name for this vn.

god i cant believe there hasnt been anything added here for almost a whole month. first and foremost, this project is not dead, it is simply on life support right now. things have happened that i cant really go into great depth about but what i can discuss is really whats been happening with me, though not in great detail. just a lot of personal crap with me that has severely demotivated me in every way. i still wish to get this project released to you guys and i will. i can promise you that. and i am so sorry about the pace so far. the editors and the qcers are still working on the prologue for this and i hope to have that out soon. cant give an eta but they are working hard on it. this project is not dead. NOT EVER! i love this vn too much to let it die.

Hello everyone, it's update time!
 
So, for those of you who didn't already read the Luna Translations update, I will be taking over for Mitch for a little while, as his computer... exploded(?). He won't be able to log on again for a little while, so I'll be stepping in as the leader on the project until he is back. (For those of you who don't know me, I'm the leader and translator on the Tsui Yuri project, and our team just recently joined Luna Translations.) I was asked by Mitch to help out while he sorts his computer issues, so that's why I'm here.
 
The progress is coming along nicely, and everyone is working hard. Our hacker is quite busy at the moment, and so a neat % table of the progress has not yet been prepared, but we will get that sorted out eventually. For now, the progress will be posted in scripts completed, similar to the way Mitch has been doing. The new staff who joined as Mitch merged with Luna TL have started working on the scripts, so even though Mitch isn't here right now, the translation progress won't halt completely.
 
Current progress:
Translation - 45/146 scripts finished.
TLC - 18/146 completed (Prologue is almost finished!)
Editing - 1/146
Proofreading  - 0/146

Figured I'd post this in case another team decides to do this vn. I've been wanting to start this project for a while but have had troubles with extracting and putting the scripts back. Thanks to the help of @binaryfail I now have a solution to that problem and all that's left is to put in effort. Once again thank you binaryfail for all your help. I cannot express my gratitude enough.
 
Anywho, this is just an announcement that I'm starting the project, not a recruitment. While I am certain that I wont drop it I still want to do this by myself for now. Maybe later down the road I'll need some translators and editors but for now, I'm going solo. Plus I don't have 24hr internet atm. But fear not, there are intervals where it'll be up, so if the prologue patch is finished or the 100% patch I will post it. And there is a sort of dlc patch that's for the imouto character that wont be a priority but I will tl that as well. Now for info on the vn.
 

 
Kanojo to Ore to Koibito to is from the perspective of Haruto who saved Ayano when he jumped out in front of an errant vehicle that was heading for her, but he got hurt in the process. She came to visit him every day while he was in the hospital and they gradually got closer.
 
This vn takes place in the same universe as Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort.

Finally I don't know when I'll be able to make updates but if there are long periods between updates, do not think the tl is dead. Right now I'm having internet troubles so I wont be on here that frequently so don't think the tl is dead. or me. Mostly don't think I'm dead please.

Visual Novel Engine is an app designed to help anyone create their own visual novel for free without any programming skills.

The rules are pretty simple, help the development of Visual Novel Engine by creating and submitting a visual novel using the engine itself. The winners will be able to put up their entire visual novel as DLC on Steam (free or paid). The Visual Novel Engine is in Early Access, so i'm also looking for testers that can help improve it.

compared to a couple years ago this is a massive improvement indeed, i'm happy VNs are much bigger now

My entry into the VN scene was with the Da Capo series, I hated the anime ending and i wanted to get that sour taste off my mouth. Little did i know i'd get addicted to this form of storytelling where I have some control over where i take the story.
Games like Ever17 Never7 G-Senjou Comyu etc etc they really take advantage that its a VN to tell a story that wouldnt be possible or have the same impact in other forms
So what basically what i seek are waifus and stories 

No, because no matter how popular herkz is (he's reasonably popular), most buyers will never read fuwanovel, reddit, 4chan, or herkz' tweets directly, and will have no idea about any of this stuff.

My first VN was True Love (back in the 90's) and now its 2017. I don't care if Sekai, Jast, MG wins a con with announcements.
What i want to say is that im just happy that we get good VN's from all of them (ok Jast is lately even slower than normal). So thanks to all of them for doing a great job (I know, not all agree with me in this case)
 

Magical Marriage Lunatics   Decent fantasy charage, but no better than decent.  Typical of Moonstone.
The Most Forbidden Love in the World  While this game counts as a classic, I can guarantee it is going to cause trouble, considering that it openly states in-game that Mitoko is underage. 
Nanairo Reincarnation A kamige and a great choice in general... though I'm curious how they plan to deal with the plays on kanji and the uniquely Japanese concepts.
Senren * Banka  One of the better games from YuzuSoft...

That is not what happened. The person who contributed VNR subs is completely different. The patch that was released was done from scratch in 17 weeks.
The translator, Triplicate, is a natural bilingual, being (I believe) a Japanese American. This gives him a solid understanding of both languages and making it so he doesn't have to constantly look up words. He also worked on this patch at 6 - 8 hours a day, a frankly unreasonable amount of time to spend on translation. 
At the end of the day, though, translation speed isn't the best measure of a translator's ability, and understanding a language doesn't mean that you're talented at writing in it. The Hatsukoi 1/1 translation is honestly pretty rough from an English prose standpoint. The language is very stilted and unnatural, and is worse than your average MangaGamer or Sekai Project script if you're comparing him to them. This is something the translator himself admitted on his blog, he says he got better as he worked on the translation, and the later routes are better written than the earlier ones, and he also eventually wants to go back and redo the first few routes he translated. I know that feeling all too well.
