Well yea there are some who dont straight out say that its the H content that counts for them..i honestly dont understand why tho.. is the need to hide it.. i mean  for me at-least i want my H scenes in the VN.. especially if the original JP release has them.. then theres no reason for US to get an inferior product.. Do you honestly think  Noratoto  would've sold well in Japan if they would've removed H Scenes from it.. i doubt it..
consoles are different.. tbh i dont like to compare PC to consoles.. consoles have their own rules and guidelines which hamper them in more ways than one.. and most of those are irrelevant to PC .
Had i bought Noratoto on my switch i wouldn't have complained as much as i did on reddit.. afterall i wouldbe getting the same experience as JP switch users.. i cant say the same for PC ..
also If you dont get verbal about it and just keep buying such release.. then the ones responsible would think its alright to do this.. Concentrate on consoles and let PC users take the fall ...If this becomes reality.. many if not most future release you see will have H scenes cut out from them,  Just coz the Developer had Console in mind when it decided for overseas localisation...
so will you be fine with VNs like Aokana, Nukitashi.. Senren Banka etc without H scenes.. well it could happen in the future.. if you let  devs think  its alright to do this...

While i am not saying that every all ages VN is lesser by default.. however the main selling point of  most VNs is its Sexual content followed by its completeness meaning you can finish reading from start to finish and finally the added depth of characters...
VN is just a a Western term..  they were basically called Bishoujo games  when they first started out mainly concentrating of Sexual Content and having relationship with Heroines of your choosing...This is what gave them momentum .. eroge is just a modern word for them ....   Sexual Content is the main aspect here.. you cannot just remove it if it is the main selling point of your  VN.. Noratoto especially..
Hell i could just watch/read  Mangas/Animes like  Mayoi Neko Over Run, Asobi ni Ikuyo or Nyan Koi etc...all offer experience similar to Noratoto .....   The only thing that makes Noratoto special is the H content in it.. which you wont get to experience in the latter 3 ..Thats what most VNs are all about.. so when you omit and remove the content the outcry in my opinion is justified..

Okay, so we got into contact with the person from 4chan. No, there's no overlap with the projects. They don't have a TL, and what Marcus did for the tech stuff is already beyond what they've achieved themselves, so instead they are gonna join us. Also, an update regarding names...
@DisplayName informed me that Shachi's name should be romanized as Shachi Yuuri, not Yuri like it's in the settings menu. They got it wrong in the settings, but inside the game, they used the full romanization.

Based on the post they don't have an actual translator anymore but are looking for one. They are pretty much just doing all the tech work(hacking and text insertion).  I'm sure if you contact them they'd be more than happy to have you do translations otherwise it sound like they'll just use a machine translator(probably googles auto-translator).

The number of lines is no problem. The time it will take to do said lines is what might disappoint people. I estimate it taking at least 4 months. I plan on translating after work a few times a week. This is merely a hobby projet. I have never actually played Noratoto, but got interested in helping out after seeing the discussions about the cut content here on Fuwanovel. I will probably buy the original game so I can have it running in the background while I translate. Translating Japanese without context can be a nightmare.
That will not be necessary. Using a machine translation as a base would just hinder my progress, if anything. I am sure there are some people who would be satisfied with machine translated h-scenes though. Maybe you could make a machine translation patch for people who do not want to wait for my translation. It will take a while before I finish.
Thank you very much for the spreadsheet.

Oh boy, another discussion I've had with Poltroon in the past. Are you sure you're not his alt?
The issue with stances like this is- yes, you're right, it might not feel like you're missing anything at all. It's probably cut in a way that makes sure of that! But, that doesn't mean you aren't actually missing stuff. In fact, with the amount of H in this game you probably are.
I haven't read the console version, so I don't know to what extent it cuts out H content, but the H is certainly "important" in this game, (as important as H can get; there's definitely "plot" related talks during the scenes, and many of them happen directly following emotional scenes, where dialogue will naturally continue in the H scene, instead of it being a complete scene transition into an isolated H-scene.)
Often the feel you have when reading the cut game will be quite misleading. You don't know that you're missing out on stuff, because... well, it's not there so how would you know!
I'm all for all-ages versions being available if someone prefers those, but the original not being available at all is in my opinion a problem for this very reason. People might start saying it's just as complete as the original, because it doesn't feel like anything is cut, when in reality, a good chunk of content might be missing. But with no 18+ version available in English, people aren't able to check just how much content is missing.
The all-ages versions of Grisaia is a good example of this issue. I actually feel like people buying those are being ripped off. The actual ending in Rakuen is just staright up missing in the all-ages version. You actually don't see the way the story ends for the characters if you buy that. Yet, people don't complain about anything missing, because... well, they don't know it's missing!
    See the problem?

Yeah, I've played the orignal. It's going to take quite some work to make a patch for it. Even if someone does do it, it won't be out for quite a while. (And tbh, it's unlikely someone is going to bother.) Still, one can hope. Best case would be that the devs sees the backlash about the lack of H and makes one themselves. Though, they seem fairly steadfast on not doing so, sadly.

Before someone asks why I care if I've read it already: While I've already read the game in Japanese, I hate to see situations like these. I want others to be able to experience the full game like I did.
I like to support official releases of my favorite games, so I'd love to buy an English copy of this. But, I don't usually purchase censored versions of games, so I'm a bit torn on this one. On one hand, I'd like to support the release, but on the other, I'm hesitant as it would feel like condoning censorship.
@Mr Poltroon and I had a discussion about this very issue some time ago. Not buying the game at all just means the company might lose interest in the western market from poor sales, but supporting a censored release might lead to them doing it again. I want neither.
I generally try to go with option number three and be vocal about the issue and hope a full version gets released one day that I can support. Hence, my comments on the matter. Not sure exactly to what extent Fruitbat's representative on here deals with the devs if at all, but one can hope our talks abut the issue at least makes it to the ears of the devs through them.

You are correct H-scene patch cannot be made, since PC never had an all ages version to begin with. In japan this game was always 18+ only, it was so popular that they made a different all ages version for CONSOLES. The release for West is based on the CONSOLE VERSION,also this version has an additional scenes that's unique to this version, it would be really difficult to make a patch for this since its different from the ORIGINAL 18+ version on PC.
As for the most complete version, the original PC JP game had like 4-5 scenes per heroine, just look at some CGs and basically it was 30-40% of the content that game had to offer, this game considered a borderline nukige. Usually there are differences between censored and butchered game... this one has been slaughtered with no mercy!
This is an eroge stripped of its ero content, unfortunately Japanese treats west as inferior beings and we get censored versions most of time, also cultural imperialism extremely strong and every game changed to suit US ideals and mainstream ideologies (SJW/ progressive feminist, American puritism)

One of the main problems I have is a lot of the times it doesn't accurately represent the characters personality. In Fureraba there is red haired chick that's supposed to be a classic tsundere, but all the swearing in her dialogue turns her into an American bitch. I'm pretty sure most of us that read VNs are weebs and we actually enjoy the Japanese anime trope character archetypes. Localization companies seem so hell bent on removing those aspects of a character and changing the characters into an American archetype that is similar. I know I sure as hell don't want that. I want a translation that keeps as much of the Japanese anime culture present as possible while still having sentences that flow well. A lot of the times I see people try defend the overly liberal translations by saying 'native English people don't talk like that'. The fuck do I care about how actual English people speak. I want to see how the Japanese anime character speaks, but in English.

No it wouldn't, injecting boorish westerm vulgarities into a non-vulgar speech is not an equivalent of referring to someone informally.
    Example:
"O-omae!" (informal, somewhat disrepectful way of referring to someone by saying "You".)
    Murrican libral translation:
"YOU asshole, I'll fuck your shit up bastard!"

No, the point of the game localization company is to translate it into the target language in a way that preserves the author's original ideas and intent the most while considering the particularities of said language. There are all sorts of localization industries with their own rules so we shouldn't mix them up with the extremely broad definitions. The idea of making something "fit into the american themes prevalent today" honestly horrifies me and provokes nightmarish flashbacks from the days of yore when official anime releases were messed up beyond recognition and the legendary 4kids did their legendary stuff.
Not to mention, that americans are not even close to the sole target of such localizations, its target audience is the whole english-speaking world.

I'm pretty sure no one missed it. No one even said it's incomprehensible, it's just... Dumb and unconvincing. A good setup drowned in ridiculous, overly convoluted sci-fi dribble and over-the-top plot twists. I understand people loving this game for its atmosphere and the psychological parts, but I find the overarching mystery plot absolutely indefensible. It doesn't make the game awful IMO, but doesn't deserve to be treated seriously.

None of the characters, including the MC, want to be there.  As for the H, I found every scene in the game utterly repellent.  Even the theoretically more vanilla scenes.  I didn't read any of them.  As for the story, it's interesting - it certainly kept me interested in finishing it.
But after I was done, I ultimately found it unsatisfying.  The story is at war with itself.  The latter half makes the most interesting aspect of the first part into an ice cream koan - undermining it and making what was interesting about it basically irrelevant.  The true ending makes very little sense.  The explanation behind the first part doesn't make any sense, either.  One character's personality and actions make sense only if you stop considering them a 'character' with believable motivations and recognize that they're a walking plot device.
Considering how highly this title was praised by those who like the dark side (Nargrakhan, etc), the fact that I wasn't overly impressed with it has convinced me to be far more selective screening dark side titles.  I'm just giving Maggot Baits a hard pass, for instance.  Nope.  Nuh-huh. Not happening.

Fruitbat don't publish/license the game so I have only meant that even though they don't release 18+ games themselves, they should still bring to the Harukaze's attention (who are basically self-publishing the game) that there's a very eager audience for the original 18+ version and plenty of platforms to sell it on. Since, you know, it looks like Harukaze have no meaningful interaction with the western audience whatsoever. Nothing more, nothing less.
I'd even say that I generally like Fruitbat, they have released plenty of cool non-ero VNs like Chuusotsu or Seabed, sustain a somewhat decent TL/tech quality and the only game of theirs that originally had ero got the 18+ release on behalf of JAST anyway so it's not like they robbed you of anything. I'm only salty that they didn't bring Eiyuu Senki to the vita back in the day. Boo.

Guess here you could think about companies like Lose. For example, you have Maitetsu where all the sexual content is some kind of...alternate event (or simply cut out from the main game), and is all accessed through an extra menu. A trend I hope other companies don't pick up.

Based on how eroge companies generally operate regarding their western releases (especially when they have no "partner" to help them), I'd say simply asking them first would be the wise decision as japanese eroge pubs may not think of releasing a 18+ version for the most absurd reasons you can't even imagine in the right mind. Looking back, I'd even say they usually approach the release with the mentality of "of course we are going for the safe console version, why would we release porn in the wild west and ask for trouble?" and only then fans can sometimes manage to dissuade them.
I have a very hard time believing that NoraNeko of all things (considering that all seiyuus in the game are the usual suspects) is exactly that legendary game which can't be released uncut due to the extreme licensing issues and it's not simply a case of "can't be bothered to go back to the basic preparations that late in the game". If there's no will, there obviously won't be a way. While true, it would be absurd to stall the steam release for another, say, six months simply because they didn't think of releasing 18+ version, it still means that if noone presses them about it, they'll just think that everything is marvellous and they are genious strategists. Especially since, as I understand it, they don't even look at the feedback, only Fruitbat does. Fruitbat that's not even releasing 18+ games to begin with.

Though, it also removes about the same amount of CGs due to the lack of H-scenes, so, it's really just an equal amount to the original PC release. This is certainly better than the alternative, which is just a cut version, with no additional CGs. So, that's something.
Still, not having the 18+ option at all will make one part of the community lose interest, even if there's all-ages replacement CGs. (Something I'm sure you've noticed by now.) It matters a lot to some people.

On that note, I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind:
You mentioned a possible issue with offering 18+ content now is that the voice actresses have their real names listed in the credits for this console version. Would this not be solved if they offered a completely separate build on other sites like JAST, similar to the Japanese PC version? Because in that, the names would be their aliases again, so this issue shouldn't be there.
Have you tried getting them in talks with storefronts like JAST/ Mangagamer, who could offer more insight in possible ways to get around these issues? Other companies have approached the west with only all-ages versions in the past, and were met with similar backlash. A recent example being Ninetail, though after talking it over with JAST, they got a deal in place where they could offer an uncut version too on JAST's store. Maybe Harukaze would come to a similar conclusion after talking it over with a western storefront familiar with this market.
