I am fairly certain he said he wasn't going to translate any more tone works' games. Unless one gets picked up as an official TL i can't see any of them coming around for quite some time.

I've now completed ~70% of Anzu's route. Yes the updates are getting more fine-grained but I think people prefer it this way

Started watching bakuman and after only a few episodes I love it! This is great stuff. 

OK, so apparently, completion percentages come along with the tools.  The tools are more or less ready, but the scripts aren't quite in the format that the tools want.  Conversion is almost done.

No, it's not dead.  Work proceeds, but the game is huge.  I'm not sure who is supposed to be coming up with status updates or completion percentages.  I'll see if I can come up with something.

Anzu's route is now ~60% complete.

It's not just you. Though I guess the writer achieved his aim of making us appropriately disgusted. This episode was the one that made me think this story is taking too long with not enough material, and it doesn't look like there's any resolution in sight anywhere at this rate.

Seen Maid Sama and it was good. The others I know of but haven't watched. I'll investigate them in the future. Thanks!

Just here to re-emphasize u watch Bakuman. It's lengthy with 75 eps, but lots of good comedy/romance and a really nice storyline that I think you would enjoy.

I also throw a rec out to Kaichou wa Maid-sama. It's a cute funny show that gets more serious as it goes along. Hope this helps sate your hunger for rom/coms.

Also if you like Haikyuu, Major and Baby Steps are two other good shounen/sports shows. Baby Steps in particular has some romance worked in as well.

@ittaku Would suggest trying Black Lagoon or Bakuman depending if u want action or romance/sol...even tho this isn't my thread

TL will certainly be done much before that. The questions comes from the patching/editing and other work. Not sure what of the rest of the team is still around to finish it up or if the other routes are actually ready to be released and it all is hindering on this one. Either way we are forever grateful to ittaku.

Progress update: I've now completed half of Anzu's route. \o/

TBAC is officially kicking my ass. Cinderella route is done (TL and Edit), and Konron is already 1/3 translated and a little bit edited.
TL: 31859/40208 (79.2%), +1758 (4.4%)
Edit: 29535/40208 (73.4%), +1563 (3.9%)

You can tell his translation changes as he progressed throughout the game, but it was never wrong originally, just fine tuned how he wanted to handle certain phrases and situations. The main TL did say that he may do a full TLC over the next 2 weeks to clean up any inconsistencies or awkward sounding phrases. Either way amazing fast progress, quality TL, and a really good VN. Enjoy it.

I'm not really sure what Astro was smoking when he posted on the wordpress site that Anzu's route was 50% complete. When I picked it up I found it to be about 15% complete, so I've come to give an update only to find that it looks like bad news when it's actually good news. But then it really doesn't matter, a project making forward progress is better at any percentage than one stalled.
Progress update: Anzu's route is now 1/3 complete.

Then I would definitely say Amane from Grisaia.
The Rei route from Snow Sakura is along those lines as well. Albeit it's an older VN.
I'm assuming you've played Majikoi because there is a bevvy of fits for you there.
Fate Stay/Night is built on strong-willed female leads. Although how the VN is assembled is a bit different than your average VN.

The Amane After route in Grisaia no Meikyuu has that sort of feel to it. Not straight yakuza, but the dad could be lol.
G-senjou no Mao is kinda the opposite where you are on the side of the yakuza controling peoples lives. Not quite what you want.
It's the interaction with Maya's family that makes it tough to copy. Most games will focus on the heroine but that that aspect of it.

Looking over stuff I've played, the best fits that are also pretty solid games are:
Deus Machina Demonbane (because "Book Heroine" is not a very common tag, and Al has far and away the best route anyway) The Steampunk series (the romance in Sekien no Inganock is definitely a little off-kilter) There's an incest route in Chrono Clock too, I suppose, and it's a pretty good game to begin with, but it generally feels pretty straightforward, so I doubt it's what you're looking for. Do have to agree with skrewball's suggestion of Funbag Fantasy, though — it's certainly more interesting than a run-of-the-mill nukige.
