Alright, update time.  All the work on massaging the scripts into the format needed by the scripts is done.  Now we are waiting for our programmer to finish integrating the scripts into the tools.  We should be able to start giving percentages in a few weeks.  (At least, a translated percentage.  Some stuff has been edited, but the new tools distinguish between "translated" and "edited", where the old format we were using before does not.  So some things were edited but the tools won't know that until someone goes and fills all that in.)

Thanks I'm regularly in contact with Astro on IRC and I know he's working on professional translation work which is what's been keeping him busy. However with the hordes of drooling fans that have been waiting on Clover Day's, perhaps he might have to force himself to take some time out to give it some attention. This VN is too good to release with my embarrassing first pass translation only so definitely don't expect a full 1st pass translation preview patch the way I did with To Heart 2 (I think that ended up being a mistake since many used it despite its poor quality.)

Clover Day's is absolutely awesome, I haven't fapped to enjoyed a moege so much ever.

Yeah, definitely outdoing my expectations for the show.

Gamers went into absolute overdrive with episode 3. I'd thought the show was decent so far but episode 3 was absolutely fucking hilarious. Great stuff!

I have now completed 96% of Anzu's route  Left just enough to maintain the anticipation for one more week (not intentionally mind you.)

And we're back.

Okay, time for some real talk.

I am currently very busy IRL. Something has come up that is keeping me rather occupied, and that will be the case for all of August. I'll spare you the details of what this is, but it's very important to me, and takes priority over my hobbies.

Anyways, because of this, I can't get all that much TL work done on this project during this time. And on top of that, I'm going to Japan in September to study abroad, and will be there for half a year. I am not sure how my internet situation will be over there, and I also don't know how much free time I'll have. So, this obviously means, TL progress will start to slow down. A lot.

Now, this does not mean I'm going to abandon this project. I still plan on finishing this, though as you can probably tell, I can't meet a 2017 deadline, since I'll have my hands full for the next 6 months.

For the moment, my plan is this:

I will do my absolute best to get the Minato route fully TLed before I leave for Japan. Or I will at the very least get it finished after a bit of time in Japan. I only have 2700 lines remaining on that, so it won't require all that much time. I will definitely aim for a 2017 release for Minato's route, at the very least.

After that though, I might have to put off the rest of the routes for a while. If I do happen to have a lot of free time in Japan, I'll definitely start TLing when I'm there. But, my studies comes first, so if I find myself with very little free time, I can't exactly throw away my degree just to get this TL done a little faster.

Which means, worst case scenario, Minato's route comes out, and I'll have to put the project on hiatus until Febuary of 2018, when I get back to Norway again.
 
I don't know what I'll be thinking 6 months from now, but at the moment, I definitely want to finish this project, even if it takes a long time.
I'll keep you updated on how the TL is going throughout of August, and will make one final update before I leave for Japan. (That update will hopefully be me hitting the 100% mark on Minato's route, but I can't make any promises.)

Very little progress this week, although editing is now caught up with TL for the first time since the project's inception, which I guess is kinda nice. I don't really have much to say here: both TLC and editing progress are waiting on progress from the Hijiri translator, at this point, although that doesn't mean we're completely idle (for instance, I'm gradually going back through and incorporating recently-finished TLC into already-edited text). I'll work with the Hijiri translator to figure out how things are going and how soon that's likely to progress. Progress this week:

Just edit it to "Any fan-translatation is a good translation." If something is serialized we can and should expect high quality work as we are paying for it.

Wrapped up Interviews with Monster Girls. I unfortunately watched the best episode before a long hiatus, so the last two episodes I watched just now couldn't help but be a disappointment, given how much I enjoyed my favorite episode, but the show remained lovely and sweet right up until the end. I really appreciated that it never fell prey to sacrificing its characters for its plot: every episode was well thought-through and the way each one played out was honest to the characters. That resulted in a truly marvelous episode 11, which was backed by a plot which in most other shows would have been a frustrating, predictable episode about a misunderstanding. Instead, we got a real, interesting, and incredibly beautiful episode about working through issues and forming new relationships.
In retrospect, Interviews with Monster Girls reminds me of what I loved in Kokoro Connect, a level of care which I hardly ever see in anime: all the characters are thoughtful, relatable, and believable. The last may sound ironic for a show featuring a vampire, a snow woman, a Dullahan, and a succubus, but of course that is exactly the point.

After some initial QC, it turned out that common route still needs some more work - at the beginning I was only focusing on fixing mistranslations, and since the common route wasn't compltely screwed up, there's still quite a lot of MoeNovel's garbage writing left there. So, I'm going to check the whole common route again and edit it a little more. Fixing the writing shouldn't take too long and will improve the quality a lot, so it's worth the effort.
I'm on vacation now, so don't expect any updates for the next 2-3 weeks though.

After another quick look through my list I have a few suggestions.
Firstly is Honey and Clover: Really really funny show with decent romance throughout. Also freaking cute.

Next up is Touch: It is a long baseball related series with a constant look at romance throughout. Seeing that you liked Cross Game, this would be right up your alley. Though I must say, it is quite long.

Third up is Genshiken: This doesn't have romance as it's main focus, but with various characters, including the MC there is romance throughout. Lots of great comedy too and it's setting is college so a little more mature-themed in a way.

Fourth up is Skip Beat: Really, really funny show about a girl who decides she wants to be an actress. Solid romance and just...it's damn funny.

I would again like to re-rec Baby Steps: It may be a sports anime, but the romantic undertones are there throughout with bits of comedy thrown in.

@skrewball717 Bakuman was excellent. I loved it to bits. I found the heroes shouting ganbarimasu was a little too frequent but apart from that the pacing, characters and story were great. I loved the way it ended with tension on each episode like a sport anime and had that quality that made it hard to not keep watching. I loved the fact that I got 75 episodes of something so enjoyable to watch too in this world of short series. And I really loved Saori Hayami as the heroine even though she was not really a lead character compared to the others - she's one of my all time favourite VAs and her climactic scene was awesome.The ending was beautiful too. Definitely one I'll rewatch with my wife; I'm sure she'll love it too. 9/10
