  1. You're welcome, and if you do edit the tool to handle Japanese characters on the command prompt, do share it. I imagine others will find it useful, and it would certainly be welcomed by me at least.
  2. If they delay the game any further I think we'll have to hire some real phantom thieves to break into Atlus USA and steal their code...
  3. The command prompt, which that tool runs on cannot handle japanese characters by default on English versions of Windows. You will need to either rename the file to something without the japanese characters before extracting the data, or you will need to edit your command prompt to allow it to use Japanese characters.
  4. Greetings herairness, If @EL_IMBÉCIL's method does not help you, you may want to try the tool Extract Data, which is useful for extracting a wide variety of content, especially if you are finding things difficult to open (although sometimes it can miss some files). If you want to give it a try the tool is located here: https://tlwiki.org/?title=Tools#ExtractData
  5. @UnlimitedMoeWorks, it seems I must thank you for that suggestion. I have started playing the visual novel, and must admit, that I haven't enjoyed a protagonist so much in quite a while, and the rest of the premise of the story looks promising as well. Therefore, I give you my thanks for suggesting that I play it.
  6. Thanks to both of you. I am certainly interested in many different types of VN, and action could be an interesting genre. I am so far enjoying myself, and hope to continue...
  7. I'll check it out, thanks. And I generally go for the 18+ versions, if for nothing else because I often find that censored versions do a very poor job of attempting to cover up/explain what should have happened.
  8. Thanks, and I haven't, although I have heard many good things about it. Would you recommend it?
  9. Thanks for the welcome, this certainly looks like a pleasant place so far. In terms of visual novels, I will always like the science adventure series, Chaos;Head, Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 were all very enjoyable for me, although I am disappointed there is no PC release of Robotics;Notes. Aside from that, I have also recently enjoyed Memory's Dogma, as well as Lucy ~The Eternity She Wished For~. As you may be able to tell, I'm a bit of a sucker for the sci-fi genre in terms of visual novels.
  10. The tool createSRPak can create .PAK files which work with some visual novels, however it is designed for Kogado novels and PAK, as mentioned above, is quite a generic filetype used to describe an archive in many different games. Because of this, I am not certain if it will work for the VN you mention, however if you wish to try it, it is located here: https://tlwiki.org/?title=Tools#KOGADO_.pak_.28Symphonic_Rain.2C_Dear_Pianissimo.2C_Angelic_Serenade.29
  11. I'm currently watching my way through Texhnolyze and Kino's Journey, which are both very interesting and quite philosophical anime. In terms of currently airing anime, I (as I imagine anyone who is also watching the show can guess) have been enjoying ACCA 13, and I must admit that I do take the time each with to keep up with One Piece. I find it enjoyable to have a good mix of genres.
  12. This is my first VN forum that I've joined, however I've been involved with a few others such as the Dollars for their interesting discussions on a wide range of topics, and several different game projects, ranging from attempts to rebuild games that have died to creating new games entirely. It's always an interesting experience being part of a set of forums.
  13. Personally, my preferred power would be to manipulate the thoughts and emotions of others, being able to make them believe and feel in certain ways about things. Certainly, it's not the most aggressive power out there, but I feel it would be one of the most helpful if it's wielder were to use it correctly. It would also require your enemies to think and have some tactics before engaging you, as else you could just change how they felt about the situation. It's definitely an interesting ability.
  14. Hey Fuwanovel, New here, although I've been playing visual novels for a while. I, like I imagine most of the community here, am interested in anime, manga and games, particularly visual novels. I occasionally help translate things, but I am by no means as skilled as I would like, I need to improve my skill in Japanese for that. I have known about Fuwanovel for a while, and occasionally read a review or found a useful thread on these forums, but have never interacted with them before. I hope I can get along with the other users here! - Jean
