  1. Fret not. I'm here to tell you I at least give a minimum amount of 'fucks' and my vote goes to the first one in line.
  2. Demi-chan, maid dragon, konosuba2, Harry potter, Youjo senki. I'm actually quite fearful I'm going to be met with disappointment half-way despite being pleased with the strong opening of this season.
  3. What the hell happened during these last 24 hours? You clearly seem shaken enough to go online for consolation. Please be extremely careful in the coming hours. I don't want you more traumatized than you already are. Don't aggravate the situation any further if possible and get all the help you can from your surrounding since there is only so much us anonymous people can do for these kind of things. But first calm down yourself to the extent of feeling confident enough to not choose isolation as your reaction. The road you go from here on will prove the aftermath to be productive or traumatic. Having said that, safety should still be your priority. Please take care of yourself in the near future, especially for tomorrow in case the perpetrators decide to take more illogical course of actions in fear. Sorry, I don't mean to scare you but it felt necessary to warn you from my side as well.
  4. Thank you guys for the amount of recommendations here. I have heard about most of these games before and simply passed them off as a grinding fest in the past but now I'm willing to give each one of these a try. I'll start with the PC one's first since they are, well, on the PC then I'll move on to the emulators and lastly the consoles. I should've given Valkyria Chronicles the credit it deserved for being the sole reason of why I even had a sudden piqued interest in JRPGs after all these years. Really the best jrpg I played to date since its availability on steam. I replay this game every now and then reminding me of how much I'm missing out on not being a fan of this subgenre and how much potential it has. I'll probably even start a playthrough now using Darklord's recommendation as an excuse. Most of the console recommendation I see here are on playsation so I should get myself a 7th generation ps console(basically a ps3) right? or instead buy a 3ds(or a wii u) on account of fire emblem, bayonetta, bravely default and the likes but no matter, I can agonize over them at a later date. Thanks again guys, this really is a load off my shoulder.
  5. Basically a recommendation thread. Before going on, I have to mention why I've been having troubles with getting into jrpgs as a newcomer. The ubiquitous grinding and light-hearted campiness. I think I don't have much tolerance for grinding after few iterations(expect for dark souls where I had to constantly remind myself that everything in that game was 'fair'). I would shamelessly delve into cheating once I felt that the excess amount of grinding in the game revolved around the design decision to eat more time out of players for the sole purpose of keeping them busy. I'm hoping there are some jrpgs out there that forgives you on missing out on daily grindings if you can actually skip it. As for the campiness, it's a little complicated. I actually like campy aesthetics(obvious since I eat anime daily) but problem starts when the same theme or subject keeps getting reiterated on the subgenre. I don't have a problem with themes getting repeated but writers often choose the same old 'friendship can over come anything' or 'companions of oddly light-hearted characters to save the world' route to the point where even if they add a new twist or something, I would still feel that underwhelming sense of 'been there and done that'. I think it's becoming apparent that the jrps i choose to start with are mostly targeted towards kids so I need some recommendations of jrpgs that would keep progress interruption to a minimum through less grinding(with good gameplay) and with much less narrative that feels like a moral story for children. One more problem that I can think of is my stubbornness for staying on PC. I heard many good jrps are console exclusives like fire emblem, beyonetta, persona, nier, etc so it would help if someone recommends me a console with enjoyable jrps to occupy myself with. P.S. Someone recommended me FFVI and I tried.. I really did but alas, the only thing I came to like about that game was the soundtrack. I wonder if I'm just not hardcore enough or are people biased on FFVI because of nostalgia(calm down friend, I mean no harm).
  6. You judge people for their tastes to better understand and communicate with them effectively and not in a derogatory way, got it. And you lack believe in bad tastes. I have to ask, what made you decide not to believe in bad tastes because I can think of a perfectly sane situation where you judge people for everyone's benefit at no one's expense and at the same time think they have things they like that you consider bad as a 'product'(not morally bad). Also, if no bad tastes then how to rank a medium on a scale subjectively? Does guilty pleasures exist? Things that you don't like will be considered average instead of bad and average product be considered good and so on? It would appear to me that not believing in bad tastes causes too many inconveniences like how one would have to block out many things that challenges this type of thought process and not think deeply about it essentially dulling the capacity to criticize as a consumer and to contribute productively to the medium in question in the form of feedbacks and such.
  7. I'm fairly worried too about Dies Irae not reaching its goal despite the confidence in the community. I envy their optimism.
  8. false, I'm not that horny(or weird) next user will be a good person and tell me how hashtag functions
  9. So in a way you're declaring that you don't judge people on their tastes because . got my eyes on you.
  10. let's try that again. What do you have to say about your unattuned bad tastes in general?
  11. then, then..........sorry, can't think of any clever retort here. I guess an apocalypse would follow? What if fuwa is ded but people consider seeing otherwise just cause they saw some 'activity' here and there on the forum but those activities were actually shitposting by users with no where else to go?
  12. False (they can never understand our love stalin senpai) Next person doesn't understand what a hashtag is used for in social media being out of touch with twitter and too lazy crafty for a google search
  13. My condolences. I read the manga, distanced myself from pc, then introspected on the time I wasted. I have expectations for KonoSuba2 and Harry Potter. Curious about Youjo Senki. Wish I was a Gintama fan so that I'd have the new season to get hyped about but alas. 100+ episodes 500+ chapters to catch up = need to time leap to my teenage days where I had the patience or was new to anime and marathoning without any effort.
  14. Then there would have been one less country in the list of countries who basically missed their opportunity to colonize The New World around late middle ages. Also no more being Denmark's pawn if it didn't even existed that time(forgot to mention the Vikings). What if no mustache?
