Rewrite kinda has the same problem, common route is too long and tries too much to be funny (but it kinda works, because of what happens afterwards).
Grisaia is beyond saving. Walking-deus-ex-machina-plot-device-protag really doesn't work in a comedy setting, imo. (He still doesn't work in the routes, at least for me, but that might be because I hate those kind of protagonists)

Kuma reacted to Deep Blue in Is Amane a common VN name?
Amane is a fairly common name used in VNs, just like nagisa, haruka, etc. But be aware that even if the name is read as "Amane" there are many different ways that you can write it using different kanji combinations or kanji+hiragana http://tangorin.com/names/amane  just like any other name, sometimes even using specific kanji used in names which I believe they are called jinmeishoukan(人名用) (茜  akane for example)
btw if you want to know how popular a name is in VNs just check it xD

You want to confront this special snowflake generation that only plays these games for wish fulfillment to get a taste of reality? Might as well tell teenagers to play games instead of looking at them on Youtube. Or tell fat people to run a marathon. Or otakus to get a real life and a GF/BF/*F.

One does not simply put reality in something used to flee from it.

And let's be honest: Eroge/VNs turned into nothing more than "AnImU-BEEWBs" or "I-want-a-gril-but-will-never-get-on-in-reality-cuz-I'm-weird-and-or-ugly: The Relationship Simulator".
Disclaimer: Nothing in this piece of is meant to be taken serious. It might be true, but it's not to be read as serious opinion. NOT SERIOUS.

He's more like an "anti-badass", imo. He does some cool stuff, but most of the time it's just him doing the prep work and letting others be the cool guys/girls.

Kuma got a reaction from Narcosis in Clannad? Overrated or Worthy of it's honours?
If Clannad were an RPG or some kind of ""real"" game, it would most likely have the same religious cultists as OoT, FFVII, etc. Calling it the "Best of the Average" might be fitting nowadays since, let's be honest here: Most try to copy it. Clannad might be as well be a cornerstone that created the Age of Moege Madness that is today. Sure, it is even more overrated than those pieces of S* Diss Iraq, SupaHippie & Cringaia combined, but it defined the standard of tastelesness that the modern VN fan values.

SP is/was/and always will be in for the money first and the fans will in 99/100 cases get the sour apple. They took the path of least resistance (a.k.a. quick money and DGAF about what those "fans" or "supporters" say) and it works, and well, they aren't wrong. There will always another horny pre-teenager that will buy their games in hope of animu pr0n. And if you look at steam THOSE GUYS  are where the money is. Throw in a few cheap OELVN and some games that appeal to those that had contact with VNs before the golden(-painted shit) age of steam and try to milk those guys (a.k.a. us) as much as you can (since let's be honest, the fan TL scene was killed by sekai and thus they can do whatever they want as jast is as fast as a killed zombie and MG is still working to ge rid of their image as pron-only supplier) and 1,2,3 PROFIT.

If SP tells you something just

Kuma reacted to Tyr in tales of berseria question
I assumed you would like it. Most people do. But just because you like something doesn't mean it's actually good. And your initial question was whether it's good or not.
It's ironic that Vesperia and now Berseria are considered the "best" Tales of games when they are conceptually pretty "anti-Tales of". They go against Baba's vision who wanted to tell meaningful stories discussing important topics and philosophies and instead consist of shallow and morally disgusting power fantasies which is probably exactly what edgy teenager or chuunibyous want to indulge in, and that is why these games are so popular.
But are they actually good? Do gameplay and story advance this long-standing franchise adequately while being true to the series' traditions? For Berseria, the answer must clearly be no. And that is probably also the reason why you or many other people will have a blast playing the game.

Kuma got a reaction from Tyr in Pqube localizing Steins;Gate 0, 2016, PS4/Vita, Preorders Up
It's not about "weebs" (which is pretty ironic to use here, in a niche forum for a niche, mostly, japanese medium) It's about dropping important cultural aspects in a game obviously in japan, where japanese people with japanese names are talking japanese to other japanese people. Cutting off part of a culture just because some people might have trouble to understand is the worst kind of censoring. Even worse if you can hear one thing but read something else. If you localise instead of translating, do it in a medium where you can at least use a localised dub instead.

Some people, myslef included, await a certain degree of perfection if it is an official translation/localisation. If you pay for something that isn't without obvious flaws, you (meaning consumers) will end at a point where you just consume everything, just because it is there.

You are wrong, kurisu calls Maho "Senpai" from the first time, she never calls her plain "Maho", now at some point they changed her name to senpai because they HAD TO (and they explain what senpai means) or else the story wouldn't make any sense but this doesn't make sense either way because why kurisu will change all of the sudden changing from using her name to Senpai in that specific part?Guess what? She wouldn't, a lot of serious stuff happened before and after and she never changed the senpai to her name.
See, what you think it was a sensible thing to do it was just something that doesn't make any sense AT ALL and thus a cheap way to fix something for a bad translation decision.

Honorifics are part of their language and culture, just as much as mayuri's way of talking (a childish japanese way of talking)  and how they conjugate verbs depending on the person they are speaking to or the situation they are in.
You cannot have one without the other, you cannot replace a San with a Ms/Mr, the same way you can't replace kun or chan or any other honorific... but wait ohh I see... they didnt replace those with anything, so for example how can you understand that katsumi acts in a really close way to the people around her using the so evil HONORIFICS, yes, you can't, because the translators decided for everyone that you shouldn't care for that and it seems that nobody actually cares as long as the translation looks like if was written by an english author but by doing so they striped the personality of the characters that makes them so unique, all of that is gone because of a bad decision to turn a JAPANESE vn into a weird English wanna be thing.

If you want to read English novels then read something written by an English author, then again what you actually want is some butchered cross version of a Japanese written visual novel turned into some American version, the question is why would you be reading something in Japanese if you are so against its culture and everything that makes it so unique?

In simple terms, you are asking for a hamburger but at the same time asking to take out the meat and add tofu to it

I can kind of understand where Deep Blue is coming from. As of late more 'translations' are localiszed as they would a dubbed version. And it is kinda annoying for those that notice the differences and changes in more subtle stuff like honorifics as a means of social hierachy etc.
To be fair there are more americans than there are english. And "British slang" isn't something you see in any kind of media outside of britain itself. For my part, I've seen a few FTW, FTWs and some other stuff I'd count more on the american side of english.
Which means nothing as the translation company is just the company that hires the translators. For all we know they might be Murricans, Brits or even Japs themselves.
