  1. The song in question: http://0x0.st/olQT.mp3 There's a freely-available amateur VN that seems to "borrow" music from other sources including anime and other VNs and, while I've been able to identify all of the other songs used in this aforementioned amateur VN, this one song has alluded me even when trying to use reverse music search, so I figured I'd ask here and see if anybody knows of the original source of this song. One key thing though is that the song is loopable as-is which implies to me that it was taken directly from a game or VN (though possibly still re-encoded to MP3 considering that 99.999% of PC VNs tend to use either LPCM, midi, ADPCM, OGG vorbis, or Opus) - note that I've made no alterations to the file in question (unless you count the file name being stripped out by the temporary file host that I'm using) so, yes, the metadata was indeed completely blank. For reference, I did try asking the author/dev (it's just 1 person) of the aforementioned amateur VN but that hasn't really gotten anywhere other than learning that the author basically hates doing audio work and just leaves that stuff to the last minute, and I'm getting the impression that they don't particularly seem to keep track of what they've previously done with their audio assets when putting together a new version of their amateur VN. This also greatly implies that the song was also not edited by the author/dev which and that the seamless loop was added/edited after-the-fact, leading farther credence that the song is from a game or VN.
  2. I don't expect you to - that's exactly why I said that you may want to at the very least just stick that link (and the arc_conv link) at the very top of your post and just call it a day.
  3. I realize I am literally like 20 months late on this, but I figured better late than never... Your original posts are preserved on both archive.org, so you may at least want to edit the first post of this thread and add this link: http://wayback.archive.org/web/20150619053444/http://forums.fuwanovel.net:80/topic/4887-data-extraction-thread/ Heck, even the downloads seem to be archived; the only exception is arc_conv, but the original download link for it still works (therefore you may want to quickly edit in a mention of this link as well): https://github.com/dsp2003/arc_conv/archive/master.zip
  4. 1. There's going to be a native iOS/Android version of Realta Nua in the spring. 2. That link is only for Heaven's Feel, if you want the entirety of Realta Nua you want one of these versions: Translation only: http://realtapatch.tumblr.com/ Translation + optional extra patches (some of said patches may not work, so you'll have to do trial & error): http://forums.nrvnqsr.com/showthread.php/4745
  5. It's listed on VNDB's page for Katawa Shoujo... https://vndb.org/v945
  6. This one is debatable. Realta Nua on PC uses the Hollow Ataraxia engine while PS2 RN did not. Also Realta Nua isn't exactly a completely different product compared to the original 2004 Fate/stay night. Regardless, I was mainly referring to platforms. PC already had Fate/stay night in some form, so Realta Nua on PC isn't a case of Fate/stay night being available for a new platform.
  7. It's funny you should say that - it only has ever been officially ported to the PS2 and the Vita.
  8. Well I guess there is some news... According to BL the iOS/Android port of Fate has been delayed to Spring but also the UBW and HF route will be available for download as in-app purchases.
  9. Uhh, the english patches are linked on VNDB... Specifically these two: https://vndb.org/r34896 https://vndb.org/r35204
  10. I've had PC hardware problems that are still not fully sorted. I would go into more detail, but this username is my "anonymous" internet name, and giving these PC details could result in people connecting this profile to my "non-anonymous" username that I commonly use on the internet. Oh and there's supposed to be an Android and iOS port of the Fate route that's being developed.
  11. We've talked about several programs in this here thread; which one are you referring to?
  12. Well wine itself isn't even an emulator (Wine Is Not an Emulator) so it's extremely "high level". Perhaps it could be said that it's more like UltraHLE is to DosBox's Project64 (and qemu is Cen64?).
  13. Hmm it would seem that this is a "faster, but less accurate" emulator. Considering that DosBox isn't exactly striving that much for accuracy either, it'd probably be safe to say this emulator is like Zsnes while DosBox is like Snes9x (and QEMU is bsnes?). Here's an absolutely crazy idea that probably won't work due to emulator inaccuracy - what happens if you try to run the Windows 95/98/98SE installer?
  14. I believe this may work for that: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devasque.fmount
  15. A larger hdd.img file was one of the main thing I was going to test regarding compatibility and stuff. The only thing is that my largest MicroSD card is 2GB so that specific test would have to be done on PC DosBox.
  16. I still have not tried it myself since I wanted to get a custom Android ROM installed first. EDIT: Just to clarify, my Android device would never have the CPU power to run Ever17 via DosBox at full speed, so me testing it would only be useful for compatibility testing.
  17. Other than DosBox or other emulators? AFAIK there's currently no other way.
  18. Just checking, I've got my Android device rooted but I still have yet to get around to compiling a custom ROM, so I haven't tested anything relating to VNs on Android yet. (I'm much more of a hardware guy, so me compiling anything is like asking your average Joe to use a command line; though I'm very spacial-oriented so typically I'm perfectly fine with even the most advanced and complicated GUIs) However, I do have a homebrew'd DS, so technically I can run the original VNDS. I did it once before but I own a DS phat, so the visual quality hugely pales in comparison to my Trinitron CRT monitor.
  19. Regarding Tsukihime, why not just use OnScripter for Android? Also I did not see anyone mention KiriKiri for Android... Relevant link for both: http://visualnovelaer.fuwanovel.net/tag/onscripter/
