I don't know. The VN community from what I can tell really isn't in danger of going under like you claim it is. If anything, VNs are experiencing a sort of Renaissance today where there are more VNs being officially localized in the west than ever before, and Steam removing its previous stance on sexual content is helping matters as well. The main problem would be what @Plk_Lesiak already described earlier; too much VNs getting translated which could lead to stagnation. But as far as a community collapse goes, we're far from that. It takes a lot of inside factors to truly kill a community, as I know from experience. To be fair, the "other option" really isn't good for VNs either.

Confession: My parents have lifted my punishment today because I took responsibility to pay back my student loans. They were proud of me for taking the initiative. Just make sure you don't go overboard with the QTEs alright? This was a huge trend for video games back in 2008 (at least in North America) which saw an overabundance of games using QTEs as a method to "enhance" cutscenes. It ended up being overused to the point that QTEs in-general got backlash by gamers who were upset about cheap deaths triggered by unsuspected QTEs they didn't even see coming. Just limit them to boss fights, and you should be fine.

Very nice art style. Reminds me a lot of Gurren Lagann and Kill la Kill. Judging by the gif, I'm guessing the "boss fights" will be a series of quick-time events right? Either way, this project got me hooked. There hasn't been a single western VN that caught my interest in a long time, so I look forward to seeing your finished project in the future.

Just curious. How do you refer to other Fuwa members by name? Do you refer them by their default usernames, or do you get creative and give them nicknames? For me, I like creating simplified versions of default usernames for convenience because it helps me remember them better. Here are a few examples. Probably not. There's a double-standard going on in the western gaming industry where they'll put sexual content in their own games and nobody will bat an eye. Since Sony's censorship policy is specifically targeting the Japanese business side, the western business side will likely fly under the radar with little-to-no alarm bells. Their logic is "As long as it's not anime porn, it's fine." kek Anyway, I feel I need to get this out of the way before this thread turns into another political debate. While it may be understandable to put the blame on SJWs, feminists, and zealous conservatives for the whole censorship issue given that it looks suspicious enough to be agenda-based, keep in mind however that there is currently no evidence to support those claims. The only sources we got are just a couple of news articles explaining the situation and that's about it really. At the moment, it just seems to be really bad PR on Sony's part, so unless there's actual evidence that reveal either of these three groups were behind the policy change in some way, it's best not to delve into baseless accusations that could spark unnecessary drama.

I recommend getting a better computer with more advanced GPU. If your current computer has aged poorly or has signs of wear-and-tear, your components will be affected, which in turn affects the overall performance of the VN.
