Porn sells but the yuri maniacs view yuri as pure love that can't have any sex. Sonohana is not a yuri game but a lesbian game. Flowers is a yuri game.
The right terms are "Shoujo Ai" and "Yuri", Shoujo Ai has no sex wehereas Yuri has sex.

When playing in Auto-Mode the voices keep getting cut, is there any settings that makes it so that the text box waits until a voice is done before continuing to the next text?

We also put back in cut voice acting, text, BGM, cut-ins — the list goes on. JAST only removed one scene, but putting everything back into the game was a real pain in the arse, which is why it took us so long.
You put in back all that!? How is that possible seeing as how the patch is only 12Kb?
It must mean the files were already present in the original JAST USA release, they were just disabled from appearing when playing the game?

These devs could just like...
I don't know use a fucking different store and release there instantly.Steam marketing is a bad meme
Everybody wants to use Steam, I am guessing it's because it will get their games the most coverage and sales. Sol Press ABSOLUTELY wanted Newton to release on Steam first and foremost, you can see it in their wording on their twitter and kickstarter updates when asked about it, as a matter of fact as of now they have no plan to release it anywhere else.

I don't think SolPress would actually delay, or especially cancel the 18+ patch to appease to Steam, it would bring them massive amounts of hate, so if they're allowed to publish their game now, something must've happened on Valve's part.
I never insinuated any of this, however it is clear that they try not to talk about it at all, I am guessing they won't talk nor mention anything about it until the game releases on the 15th, then at that time they'll just release the patch like if it's the most natural thing in the world, it's all pretty hush-hush, probably because they just don't want to take any risks especially when Steam isn't clear at all about their do's and don'ts policies.

I don't get why Americans hate the show, I am guessing it hits too close to home, eh? This show is pretty popular in Germany and France, here's a sample of the german version:

Newton and The Apple Tree release had been withheld by Steam for 3 months or so, now it will finally release on the 15th August, still no word on 18+ support as Sol Press is remaining silent on that matter (looks like they really are afraid of Steam using that as an excuse to remove the game).
Now another VN who has been the victim of the anti-animu Steam policy where Steam takes months to try and find faults in anything and everything about it, the development of the game has been completed since the beginning of this year, and it has been trying to be approved for release on Steam since March, it's release has since been withheld and still nothing is known about the game release date, one issue that Steam pointed to the dev was over the fact that there is a CG where the protagonist is wearing speedos and a part of his back can be seen:
Meanwhile non-anime western games with upfront nudity and gratuitous sex scenes are still on the store, uncensored and uncut.
Steam really hates anime don't they?
This nonsense reminds me of that Married with Children episode (skip to 12:30 for the relevant part):

It is Moonstone. Moonstone games seem to print money for MangaGamer.
No, it's Makura, it's already been confirmed by someone that works at MangaGamer.

Not sure where they will distribute the 18+ patch.
They have their own website.

There are few standalone Frontwing's games on Jastusa so I am not sure about sales. If Frontwing release non-adult VNs(like Phantom Trigger), will people buy it on Jastusa instead of steam?
I tried to look for such a tweet but couldn't find it even when I scrolled down all the way to the 30th May, I did see an newer tweet about Momoiro Closet, but that's it. But anyway, it's obviously not very well advertised as I am sure most people don't even know that they carry this title.
The situation of Subarashiki Hibi on Steam is different than other titles for reasons that I explained above, basically JAST USA version is better than the Steam version because all you need to do is download and install it.

I've seen no efforts to market this game. After it was pushed I don't recall it ever really being brought up for discussion on any place I follow.
That I can agree with.
Plus the way the game was distributed originally was not good, people just want to click, download and play, just like every other game on Steam. They don't want some convoluted explanation about how they would pay to get 10 percent of a game and then have to use a patch that they would download from another unrelated website to blahablahablah.
It wasn't until the 30th May 2018 that the game finally became available on JAST USA as a stand-alone installer and the problem is that this fact was not mentioned anywhere else but in one of the Subarashiki Hibi Kickstarter updates, the second issue is that on the JAST USA online store games are ordered by release date of the game itself not by release date on the JAST USA website, so as soon as it got released on JAST USA website it was already burried under other titles which release dates were even younger than that of Subarashiki Hibi, not to mention I don't see JAST USA mentioning on their twitter the fact this this game was or is available on their webstore front, while they keep plugging JAST USA titles, even when it's very old titles such as Demonbane that they released all the way back in 2012, they even retweet their own tweets:
Yet as far as I could tell there was not a word about Subarashiki Hibi being made available on their store.
Really it's a big mess.

It seems to be the kind of translation that if you just read what's written, you won't grasp what you just read but instead you need to read the sentence and spend a minute rearranging the sentence in your head for you to try making sense out of it, it's not really engrish but it's all just very awkward sounding.
I am thinking that it could be because either the translator is not an native english speaker, or because the editor(s) did not do the job properly or both.
Anyway, looks like it's another quality Sekai release.

I'm a professional editor. I prefer keeping honorifics for stories in a Japanese setting.
Which is like 95% of VN titles.

Doubt so since Subahibi didn't do that well.
It's another publisher and they might have been doing this deal since before subarashiki hibi.

Maybe it's Sakura no Uta!?
Afterall, Sakura no Uta is part of the top 20 of highest requested VN on the MangaGamer licensing survey, in the 2018 survey it got spot number 6:

Right on top of Youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e!

It's all about Japanese being the language of the non-White "other," therefore unacceptable. Also, recent translations of Japanese literature have started including honorifics.
True, that's also why people call westerners (or people that are assumed to be westerners if they speak a western language online) the disparaging and derogatory made-up word "weeaboo" if they "dare" to enjoy non-white north-east asian entertainment, as a matter of fact the word "weeaboo" is thrown around quite a bit both on here and the visual novel subreddit.

whilst lune remains erogemaker no1 (only the mainbrand), at least to me, "sukebe elf no mori e" is one of its more weak titles, definitely not bad, but pales in comparison with others like fuurinkanzan or jutai hen.
Fuurinkanzan is very old and Jutai Hen seem to just be an eroge about school stuff, Elf at least uses a more original setting and would probably sell more and be more popular, it's just the kind of game that catches your attention.
The anime adaptation is also one of the highest rated 18+ anime on anidb:
It has spot number 5.

Nowhere am I saying that Sekai is innocent though. Just that screaming that Sekai is lying is just wrong and stupid.
But saying that the devloper itself is lying to both Sekai and Fakku is not?

What they have told Fakku in private is a whole another story but even there they have not lied. They were as misinformed as Fakku themselves too.

SP originally promised an 18+ uncut version, Fakku had to literally back out from being announced a while ago, because it was - in fact - something they didn't receive to sell on their store.
It's all a matter of good principles, SP completely lacks.
Technically they could get away by saying: "Well, we never promised that it would be IDENTICAL to the japanese version, ehehe".
It's like releasing a "Limited Edition" of a game and manufacturing 300k copies, you could always get away and say "Well it IS limited because ONLY 300k copies were made, ehehe".
But like you said, it is all about a matter of principles and Sekai just doesn't care about that, they get enough money already from NEKOPARA as it is.

What are we missing
New characters, more story content, glossary that explain stuff about railroads and trains.
But having additional exclusive content for the console version is not unheard of, for example Higurashi has exclusive arcs not found on PC and that were exclusive to the PS3, PS Vita and Nintendo Switch versions.
MangaGamer usually tries to incorporate both content from the PC and Console versions when they make their release, at least I know they have done this for Princess Evangile.

-Pure station- pc version is exactly same as the Steam version.
No it's not, pure station has exclusive content not found in the western PC version, only Japan and China are getting pure station.
Chinese kickstarter:
https://zhongchou.modian.com/item/19365.html
Notice it says "pure station", the chinese publisher is called "Hikari Field" and unlike them Sekai project didn't license that title.
Basically instead what we got was some some weird hybrid hackjob made specifically for the western market in mind.

The reasons for the censorships.
20 minutes ago, alchemicalhaze said:If Fakku is being honest, both Fakku and Denpasoft (Sekai Project) met with Lose in Japan. Guess we will know when Lose releases this remake in Japan.
It's already released:
But this is an All-Age version for the PS4, but note that this version is called "Maitetsu -pure station-", what we got instead is only called "Maitetsu" for the PC instead and the PC version in Japan was developed and published by Lose themselves, it is also ONLY 18+ with no censorship:
Basically this censorship in a PC 18+ release is pure nonsense.
