This is datOtakuGuy I am happy to say that 'Walkure Romanze: Shojo Kishi Monogatari' translation is now under way and we are looking for volunteers who could join and help us have this VN project completed! OK, before I start, let me apologise... Sorry for acting MIA for a long time now -- I'm disappointed in myself and feel really guilty. The reason for my absence is my part-time job (overtime since it's nearly christmas) and college (moderation day is coming up and I've been working my but off to get my coursework top notch). It's been driving my nuts to the point of exhaustion that I find it difficult to cope... BUT! However, from tonight onwards, I will be active ONCE again!!! -- I probably won't be available on IRC all the time but in this conversation I will. A Blogger site will be online today, and once I sort out a more decent website for the translation, it will do for now. I will send derpigreg the script, then request REtrans another link for Joshyan. The plan is: 1. We'll get the prologue completed first (derpigreg & Joshyan can do it together or separate) 2. Then, a couple of editors will check and produce the final translated text 3. I will let REtrans know and see if he can create a patch for the game. 4. Afterwards, quality checker/testers will run the game and report back any problems. 5. Correct the bugs 6. Release!! During the release, a link to the game will be posted to the thread so people can download it and play. Hopefully during the meantime, we can recruit some more people, especially graphics and video subbing. Hey EVERYONE!! -- Sorry it's been a while, so much is going on in college and my part-time job so it has been very difficult to keep up at the moment. Just want to say that the translation of "Walkure Romanze" is imminent -- I'm going to create a Blogger site or Wordpress Site (not sure which one to use :S) and I've already messaged the people that want in on the project. Anyone else that wants to join, please do!

I think it will quicken the process - that way Derpigreg can get started translating I can email Retrans that we already have the scripts, so that all we need is the project hosted online, but can you only extract the scripts or can you extract graphics too???

It will start - trust me. Like REtrans said - they are still processing requests but w're like 2nd in the queue. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long though

I just confirmed the request with REtransInternational - we're in the waiting list. So far, it has been confirmed that: - Translating the game: 'Walkure Romanze' http://vndb.org/v4041 - REtransInternational (when ready) is extracting the text + insertion and patch creation - I've finally confirmed that we need project hosting so we can get the translation out in the open, - If possible the project goes underway, we can recruit graphics editors as well if we get some recruitment going. vbcdvcv

Hey, it's datOtakuGuy again!! As stated from above, we've been having a discussion of having this particular VN translated. You can refer back to the post here by this link: https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/2300-will-anyone-translate-walkure-romanze-and-koikishi-purely-%E2%98%86-kiss/ There's already a translator on board, so we need the extracted files from the game to translate - if there's anybody else interested in taking part, then by all means please do. I'm not doing anything in particular since I can't translate nor do any graphics (however I am interested in hacking and extracting etc. - but they'll do that for us anyway YAY!!), instead, I'm just a guy who wants this particular VN translated, and hopefully many others do too

Hey, it's datOtakuGuy!! The last post I made was regarding how to translate a VN, and I've been given great answers on how to do that. So, I took the time to browse through 'TLWIKI Tools' and installed a couple of extraction software; Susie, ExtractData and CRASS and the xp3tool created by insani (I think ). I've also downloaded Fate/Stay Night since there were tools out there already (and even though it's already translated by MirrorMoon ) After playing around with the different tools, I managed to grab the files containing .tlg at the end. As an example, I extracted "bgimage.xp3" using the xp3tool from insani. Of course, I didn't know how to open up the .tlg files, so I researched a couple of forums telling me how to use the Susie tool. It was a pain at first trying to turn the menu into English but I did it in the end B) - but then I got confused, I used Susie on a .tlg file and it says "Notice: UnknownType...". I then realised you need to extract "bgimage.xp3" with Susie, so I did that and now it gives me the same error message. I'm assuming that this error is shown because it doesn't recognise the file type or something??? Any help would be appreciated, thanks again!

I see O.o So for a team, you must delegate each role to a member specialising (or at least have some knowledge about it) in that skill - SWEET GREAT!! Can't wait - 'derpigreg', you better start translating as soon as possible!!

Sweet, people are starting to get interested in this VN!! So excited ヽ( ★ω★)ノ After the translation, does the programmer need to insert the script just the way he extracted it??? Or are there more processes that go on if it's not that simple?? (?・・)σ

I seriously want 'Walkure Romanze' translated!!! I just started and machine translation is horrible, I can make sense of some of the lines but having to justify it every time you read the next line is annoying - seriously asking my college to do a japanese course or club ( then I could help out with translation ) I've programmed before in Visual Basic but have never hacked a visual novel ( kind of uncharted territory but damn I wish there was a tutorial about hacking a visual novel, because if there is one, I'll definitely want to be part of a team that will do this ) But I'm willing to do anything though like proof-read or test and such - just anything I'm busy with a lot of college work but if anyone is willing to teach me how to extract and insert text and patch the game etc, please message me or email me. I looked at some but it was a little to hard for me to get my head round. ( Seriously cannot stand it when they stop progress on visual novels, I mean 'Fate/Hollow Ataraxia' sure is taking its time, but at least they haven't stopped!! )

Where can I download the scripts??? I'm currently downloading the game now in japanese but I want to get into hacking a VN, so I want to learn the process etc.

Thanks for all the comments! I've got college and a part-time job but it would be nice to do all of those things!! So, the title is pretty self-explanatory. I would like to translate a visual novel (not the language but getting into the system and changing the characters and such, those sort of things...) - I was wondering if there was any tutorials out there. (It's pretty illegal so i doubt there'll be any tutorials out there but it would be nice to know how to do it. Would love to part in translating a visual novel during my holiday I don't have college ) Any help or sources would be grateful!! Thanks!

I like Fate/Stay Night (waiting for Fate/Hollow Ataraxia to be translated T.T) Sweet! I love rice
