Worse than Akagoei, in terms of being incomplete.  Akagoei at least pretended to have actual endings, as short and unsatisfying as they were until the FD came out.  If they had released a sequel within six months, I might have been willing to forgive them, but even then, I still would have had major complaints.  This game's potential was wasted entirely because the producers didn't rein in Kinugasa's love of never finishing anything.  The non-true heroine paths are pathetically short and the true heroine's path essentially shuts down in the middle of things, where the action would have begun to get going in any decent game.  Worse, there is no guarantee of a sequel, despite them having set up to easily graft one on, because Kinugasa's tendency to never finish anything extends to everything he does.

So, as part of a translation project (thread on that soon) I’ve run into a minor snag that means I find myself in the need of four save files for the games:

    1. Enjoy ~Futari no Ecchi na Joi to Eroero Kenshuu Taiken~ (Terminated. An script has been developed from the save files provided and found to be applicable to all other games)
    2. Amayakashi na Kanojo  (See above)
    3. Onee-san x Shuffle!  (concluded. Save files needed provided by @Infernoplex)
    4. Kajuu 100%   (See #!)
Now, to be clear... Seiya Saiga will not work because those saves are “Save States” instead of actual Save Files (the ones you load into a game scene that is not accessible through the gallery). What I need, if any are able to provide, are game saves (Atelier Kaguya games will register them as “Save001” or so in the game directory’s “Save” folder. They will be .dat files and be followed by a bitmap screencap).
Specifically, if anyone here has the game on their computer, it’d be nice if they could upload the saved files or even their Save directory and distribute it through Box or Mediafire or even MEGA. If willing, I would also request specific Saves fo each game:
    1. Enjoy: a save state after the bus collision.
    2. Amayakashi a save state after the first H-scene involving the blonde heroine.
    3. A save after at least every heroine’s route has been chosen at least once each.
    4. A save after all heroines have had their first H-scene.

I know this is probably way more work than many believe worthwhile. I still felt the need to ask, just in case someone happened to have the games installed and was willing to auto skip through most of a new game to the needed points or already had played the game and had some Saves handy.

I mostly need it to test whether saves will be read by the base engine unless they originated in the same directory. While ENV or “Secret” files seem able to be moved around, I need to double check these as I have found more than a few files are directory dependent.
    Thanks to whomever may help.

Oh, I see... That's a good approach, I think. Though it's going to be lots of tech work, I suppose.
Oh yeah, sorry, my bad. I didn't answer your original request. I'd help with the savedata stuff, but sadly, I'm busy with something right now, so can't find the time to make those save states you need. I'd need to grab the VNs too, which I don't have either.

The points we considered when selecting the steam version
    - Contributing to the global VN market.
    - The English version, which uses kirikiri, supports Unicode and therefore is more suitable for translations into any language, unlike WhaleEngine (From the Japanese version) which uses SJIS and supports only Japanese / English characters.
    - The English version is already in English (obviously), so instead of translating the entire Japanese game, it seemed more practical to just import the h-scenes and translate them.
    - Translating the steam version does not prevent you from translating the Japanese version, so even if we do not translate the Japanese version, someone may take the trouble to import the translation. I considered making an automated port of the translation, but that would greatly increase our work because even the automated port would require manual work in order to adjust the sections of the scripts that have changed, after all some dialogue was removed and / or changed in the English version. We can't just to do a ctrl + c ctrl + v, the higher we try to go, the harder we could fall.
So, the project is basically and exclusively focused on translating the h-scenes already ported.
Some more adjustments are expected later on, for quality control and to ensure stability of the 'mod', because the scripts were literally rewritten and complex binaries edited by hand. I personally expect to have some bugs to fix later.

Not one, not two... but four projects? WTF? Is this intended to be a translation by human, or machine? Or edited machine TL? Because I've never seen a fanproject TLer ambitiously trying to pick up 4 VNs at once.

Hey all, thanks for the replies and encouragement!
I realize that if one only uses this forum as their information source, the progress on this will probably have seemed rather scarce
And I admit, I haven't updated the thread at all to create any additional hype or expectations, but that's kind of been on purpose - I'm the sort of the person to typically walk the walk before talking about it. That way I can't let anyone down, heh.
Actually nothing in particular prodded me to post this update either, and I don't have a grand announcement to make right now, I just thought I'd pop in to say hi while coming to the forum to answer a few PMs.
So, how's it going? Well I'm not dead and the project certainly isn't either, all in all it has chugged along very well. I've been pretty active on a few big VN Discords and received a ton of help from a ton of absolutely awesome people, but for the past month or two I've unfortunately been very tied up in some other responsibilities. Such is life! However, I'm trying my darndest to get back to the Manakashi project right about now, so don't worry. I will, also, actually create a new teaser video of some sort soon to show off the quality and progress we're working with, as well as how I solved certain technical challenges.
I don't like talking line counts - and actually I don't keep or know exact line counts, either - but while there's a whole ton still to translate, I can at least say that I am rather proud of the quality of what has been done so far.
So anyway, I guess all I wanna say to you lovely people is that if you want to see this project happen, please don't hesitate to keep letting me know Reply to this thread, talk to me on Discord (yumi#0163), PM me on Fuwanovel, whatever - It does help me gauge interest and thus my own time allocation to the project, and actually means more to me than I'd like to admit.
I might've started the project for entirely selfish reasons, but due to the sheer volume of material alone it's not going to end that way. So, in addition to the previous paragraph, I guess I'd like to put out a lazy call for reinforcements. Translation (and the editing that follows) is the job I'm most picky about, but if you happen to be a proficient translator/writer and would want to help with this project, don't hesitate to get in touch. I also periodically need a few trusted people to QA/test the project while it is in progress. If you'd like to do that and think you'd be good at it, feel free to DM me on Discord, preferably. Additionally we will need a real TLC down the line, but that's actually not very critical right now.
So yeah, alright, that's the Manakashi project right now! Talk to you again later
Maybe I should ask for a developer role on the forums to create one of those dev diaries...

    Hi all,

Long time lurker over here. I've been around since 2014 but don't really post or comment (I'm kind of a shy guy hahaha). I may not be present in words but I'm still here.
You can call me River or Alphy (I forgot who called me this but I got the nickname back when I was watching and commenting on Meph and Ren's Cocoro@Function stream a looong time ago. I think it might have been Zaka but not sure).

I'm interested in all sort of Japanese media from the typical manga to anime to WNs, VNs and LNs.
My first ever VN was One (from Tactics) but the VN closest to my heart is Key's Little Busters (I really resonate with the theme, the characters and I had followed it from the time translation started to when it finished).
My favorite VNs are probably moeges and charages. I read some nukiges also but I tend to avoid ones with dark plotlines (with a few exceptions).
Out of the VNs I've played recently (within the last year), I'd have to say AnoHare has got to be my favorite so far overall (I love rockets and space and I learnt a lot). My favorite VN heroine so far is Inamura Rio from Dracu-Riot. (she's my waifu :3). And my favorite protagonist is Ninomiya Hajime from IxShe Tell for being hilarious.
My translation wishlist is Kurano-kunchi no Futago Jijou (where my profile pic comes from), Natsuyume Nagisa, Karumaruka Circle, Mashiroiro Symphony, Fortune Arterial, and Natsu no Ame.
My favorite developers are Key (for general story) and Saga Planets (for general visuals).

If you have any recommendations, feel free to leave it down below.

    I'll be around! Cheers!

P.S. Zaka and littleshogun are 99.9% of the reason I'm even still lurking around (I read littleshogun's blog every week hahaha and kudos to Zaka for the VNTS). Please notice me Zaka-senpai and littleshogun-senpai >.<
P.P.S. For anyone curious enough, I have a list of played VNs at VNDB under the same username (https://vndb.org/u116199/ulist?vnlist=1).

Damn, so Hadashi Shoujo VNs are using Reallive?
I was interested in their stuff for a while now. What a shame. Especially Lovedory Halation... All Reallive VNs have a different encryption key on the script file. That's the hardest part to figure out. For that, you need a genuine hacker. I mean, from what I heard it's not that hard to find it. But... err, you still need to know what the fuck you are doing. And if you're not really a reverse engineer, then you're out out of luck
Same here. I was too stubborn to give up, and just went through with it. Needless to say, I didn't accomplish anything, and then someone who's a real hacker solved the problem in a day. So yeah... we can't really do anything without help from a real professional.

I see. Yeah, you have a point. For VNR, you need to be always online.
Anyway, to answer your question -- Is the engine SystemC? A couple of engines use .fpk format, and SystemC is one of them. Judging by how the script file is named, I'm guessing that's indeed SystemC. If so, were you using this to change the game's script text?

Eeh, there aren't really that many, and also, my involvement isn't always on the same level for every project. And finally, there are also some stuff I worked on that will never see the light of day, so yeah...
Anyway, to answer your question... As far as fanTL projects go (of those that got released), I was involved with Miazora Fine Days. There's also a couple of others I was involved with that got released, but I prefer to go uncredited for those.
Also, I was involved with some failed projects, as well as some projects that are still ongoing. I also QCed a couple of VNs officially, so there's that. Not a very noteworthy resume, at least not yet. So I wouldn't say I am doing a lot for these games.

Well the only way for the people to understand the pain to translate the work is to do the job on that, and if he didn't want to do that oh well. Also while it's doable for sure, the process would be very tedious and you need to spent some days to figure out on how to open and extract the scripts. After that, you need to figure out on how to add the scripts to the game without risking breaking the game, which to say easier said than done. Also sometimes there are bug that can still happen even if you do the process properly. So in short, it would be a pain to translate this. And if some of the users here complain on how the project is cancelled, perhaps they may give a shot to work on this if possible (Note that I already tried it, and I can't figure out on how to open the scripts).
As for the scripts, yes I already save it to MEGA and in case someone want to challenge it then I'll give it freely. Keep in mind though in that it's still mostly untranslated, so good luck to you if you want to do it.
