  1. This is fairly common knowledge by now, but ZTD is the third entry in a series. The other two aren't yet available for PC.
  2. Majikoi's basically a shonen moege with a heavy emphasis on comedy and not much focus on actually developing inter-character relationships. I quit partway through the first installment for that reason. It's really not a good romance VN.
  3. I feel disappointed that this is even a question.
  4. <======================== When I look at my favorite characters, I realize that I have a bias towards coodere/emotionless type. There's also the mysterious/teasing type. I also like Berkanstel and Illya, so count me in for the villanesses too.
  5. The Devil on G-String (G-Senjou no Maou) has a harem approach to its common route romance, with the heroines all having various relationships that act as stereotypes. It's widely considered one of the best visual novels ever made, however, due to how it plays out the character tropes and the strength of the storyline that the game is built on top of.
  6. It's generally an even split between "slow development" and "love at first sight". Katawa Shoujo does the common route very well, but harem routes aren't necessarily a bad thing-it depends on the talents of the writer more than anything. The first game that bears similarity to Katawa off the top of my head would be Kanon, which has some heroines who have a crush on the protaganist, but less "head-over-heels-oh-god-marry-me-now" like most harem anime do. Good luck!
  7. Shizune is a fucking awful heroine with an awful route. Just skip her route. It's not worth it.
  8. Funny. I was just looking at this yesterday: http://www.npr.org/blogs/ombudsman/Politics_and_the_English_Language-1.pdf
  9. Finally, LoveKami (eop edition) has been released! Play through a variety of diverse character routes, including the one with the big tits, the one with the big tits, and the one with the bigger tits! LoveKami is by far the best eroge all ages release of this year. The numbers don't lie! VNDB Steam Moenovel
  10. While this topic's near the top anyway, the translation's been finished. Link
  11. Root Double goes into a lot of detail of how its scientific concepts function. Some of it is very "pseud", but others are actually halfway believable. Subarashiki Hibi. It isn't as available as the other titles here, but there is an patch that translates most of the game available if you look hard enough. If you're looking for story, MYTH is also an excellent choice.
  12. All good and English translated choices. As far as untranslated stuff goes, pretty much any denpa game is going to have a lot of gore in it. Jisatsu, SubaHibi, Kusarihime, and Sayonara o Oshiete are some of the most highly-regarded ones. Dasaku looks interesting as well.
  13. Wow. Guess this game isn't going to have a very long backers section then.
  14. Sayooshi has a lot of scenes with sexual themes, and in a worst case scenario, we get a Steam-only release like G-Senjou. I'd love to see the game legitimately released, but Sekai is infamous for buying out anything they can, and I don't think they'd be the right people to translate Sayooshi.
  15. Boku wa Tenshi Janai yo France Shoujo ~Une fille blanche~ Galzoo Island Hajimete no Orusuban Kusarihime ~Euthanasia~ Makki, Shoujobyou -Lyrical pop world's end- Nekonade Distortion Oyatsu no Jikan
  16. This isn't the "end of the eroge market" or anything. Fandisks and nukige will always sell well, both in the West and in Japan. Of course, good visual novels will sell well, but fandisks and adaptations are safer to sell, and safer to buy. Besides, the games at the top of these lists are going to be recent eroge, not kamige. When you manage to find an eroge released in the last two months that looks much better than these, be sure to post it, because I won't believe you otherwise.
  17. Technically, Sparks Liner High doesn't say "BAD END" or "GAME OVER" or whatever after you complete it, (Spoiler alert: I haven't played Fate.) so I guess it's technically an alternate ending...?
  18. I'n not trying to offend anyone, or trying to imply that he's breaking the rules. The issue is that there could probably be better discussion on this topic fostered elsewhere. I was just a bit turned of by the phrasing of the OP, I suppose. On a more related note, how accessible is Nitro+Chiral's stuff? I've heard they make some of the best titles in the genre, but does it have the same amount of fanservice and ero as a normal Japanese VN, or is it closer to the rest of Nitro's releases? (Not trying to derail the thread, just figuring I'd get better response here than the recommendations board.)
  19. The issue is that Clannad has a lot of ridiculous choices to get on some of the routes-to this day, I don't understand how you would figure out on your own that you need to talk to Nagisa to get on almost any route, and that one old teacher's route just plain doesn't make any sense. It's similar to Root Double's A route or Cross Channel, where it's very easy to screw up without realizing that you're doing anything wrong. I'd recommend at least looking at a guide so you can figure out who has routes, if nothing else.
