  1. Vndb: https://vndb.org/v16341 Translation patch by flamepaladin and co: kami-no-rhapsody-translation-partial patch First of all, I'd like to point out that the translation patch is fairly good(all things considered when you're used to machine translation), although you may encounter the random grammar mistake, failed linebreak, and etc. Of course, as stated by the translator themselves, this is not the final patch. This patch does cover basically everything besides some minor append content and the defeat texts. **Round of applause** Now to launch into talking about the game itself. Oh man where do i start. I think I've dumped around 80 hours into the game just trying to be a completionist and gather everything. If you're coming from Kamidori(I expect many of us are), I can't say that it quite measures up to what I was expecting. As many people have pointed out, the mana system is a disaster. You use mana to deploy units, it has a very low gain/regen rate, and its generally not that much more amazing compared to bruteforcing your way with physical attacks. Sidequest objectives can tend to be very tedious also, like cutting down all the wood fences in a wooden fort. The medal equipment system is also ... sorely lacking. Considering many of them are mana usage, you just kind of ignore them, and only a small number of the passive medals are useful. Upgrading characters is also something that you probably want to passively do as you go through your new game pluses. As far as I have seen, the runes needed for upgrades are in semi-limited amounts, and quite frankly I never really felt like I needed the upgrades at all. Does this mean that I had a bad experience? Not really? Which is kind of a vague answer, but I did enjoy playing the game. The story wasn't particularly amazing nor is the music very memorable, but there was a definite satisfaction with winning battles through careful planning and positioning. I did feel that the theme of the game revolving around music was odd and jarring at times though. Would I recommend it if you liked Kamidori? Yeah, I would. But expect to face some difficulties getting accustomed to the battle system. Some help getting all of the CG Collection ---- Waiting with bated breath for Amayui full translation. From the chapters I played, I think I'd go with Kamidori > Amayui > Kami no Rhapsody.
  2. I couldn't really find much in the way of english sites that had info, so I decided to ask if anyone else knows upcoming info about it. I can't say I enjoyed Seinarukana as a sequel to Aselia, there's just so many things that could have been taken from the first game that they barely touched on. It's alright as a standalone game, but if you properly played Aselia > Seinarukana, it just seems like kind of a letdown to me. Well enough griping about that, I mostly wanted to ask, are they really going forward with making a 3rd game? (This is a site for the drama cd i believe?) https://www.eienshinken.jp/
  3. I'll be sure to check out Omaera Zenin Mendokusai, and I've already read through Shinozaki-san ki wo Ota Shikani(*I don't think I'll ever be able to go near the Maiden's Road though) I first found out about tsukihime when I encountered the fate series, as a result of watching the Carnival Phantasm OVA. I'd been meaning to play through, so thanks for reminding me! I'll take a look at Crest of the stars, the google image results of it remind me alot of Tenchi Muyo. I couldn't get myself into Seinarakuna unfortunately, the combat system felt like it degraded from the time of Ein no Aselia. Hopefully I can bring myself to finish it one day, but my friend tells me that the story doesn't quite match up as well, so it's kinda low on my list of priorities. I'll definitely be trying our Eiyuu Senki though. I've had alot of people recommend Rance to me, but yeah, I was offput by the internet rumour mill surrounding him. I've heard there's alot of Rance games, is there one I should particularily start on? Thanks to everyone who has responded so far!
  4. Hello ello, just your average uni student here. If you ever need to call me something, I've found most people seem to be comfortable with Drew, but whatever floats your boat. Besides yellow inflatable rubber duckies. Never use those things to float a boat. Also confessing, this isn't my first post on forum. I got distracted by an anime recommendation thread and couldn't help throwing out a few titles. Sorry guys Orz. I'm a sucker for romcoms(which honestly I didn't even expect from myself), and visual novels that are good at weaving a plot to guide or misguide a reader or provoke you to think about something amazing that just happened. Also economics because who doesn't like money? Some of my favorites titles would be G-Senjou no Maou, Rewrite(by Key), World End Economica, Aselia the Eternal, and Yumina the Ethereal. I also happen to like Kamidori, but unfortunately I haven't found games similar to it with finished english patches. I may or may not be a manga addict, but if it falls in my interests, I'd give myself a 70% chance of having already read it(which i think is pretty high considering how many mangas there are). I'm also working on production of my own VN, but being realistic, you probably won't hear news of a demo or anything until a year later or so.
  5. Might be kinda late to the op now, but I'm surprised no one mentioned One-Punch Man. It's kind of hard to outpower a manga/anime about a guy who kills everything in one punch. I'd also recommend the light novel series of Overlord if you enjoy the anime. Mob Psycho is also a new popular anime, though I haven't gotten around to seeing it, only read the manga so far. Big Order would also fall into the list, but its lower on my list because of constant comparisons to Mirai Nikki. in short One Punch Man Overlord Light novels Mob Psycho Big Order Aldnoah(I suppose, though the plot let me down later on)
