  1. Personally, when I switched to Windows 10, none of my VNs/documents really got affected. I didn't need to reinstall any VNs and my save files/CGs were all still intact. The only problem I had was getting used to the new interface.
  2. Welcome to the forums! Rewrite is a good novel if you've got a lot of free time. Hope you enjoy your time here.
  3. I see. Thanks everyone. Think I'll just play the new scenes and those with keys on it.
  4. I usually end up loving 50h+ VNs more than I should. This is probably because to me, it immerses me more into the story and allows me to understand the characters better. I was bored to tears during Grisaia's common route and I even dropped Rewrite for a few weeks. However, by the time I finished both, they became two of my personal top VNs. Short VNs don't hook me as much as long ones do but some of them are still fantastic. For example, Eden* was an extremely short read but still a very memorable one.
  5. Most of Key's works (such as Clannad / Rewrite / Little Busters!) are amazing. Although some of their themes aren't strictly focused on romance, you should still check them out.
  6. Oh I see, I didn't know that. Guess I'll give it a go after all. Thank you.
  7. I've just finished the grand ending of Root Double and I have a question. Do the Xtend episodes bring any significance to the story? I've tried a bit of it and it just seems to narrate things I've already read.
  8. Agreed. His videos are of top-notch quality and it feels like he genuinely puts in a lot of effort into making videos. I also enjoy watching Gigguk and Mother's Basement.
  9. Welcome! I'm also relatively new here, but it's nice to see a growing community. If you're looking for more VNs, Rewrite (also made by Key) and Root Double may be a good choice. Hope you enjoy your time here
  10. Kara no Shoujo seems fairly popular, but I'm not really into the horror genre Yeap, I've already read ef, and I really loved it. The way it narrated its story through the eyes of different protagonists was really unique. I think I would try Majikoi then maybe KiraKira/Deardrops. Thanks for the advice I see. Gotta thank you for that. Spoilers really ruin anime/VNs for me, and I probably would have started Deardrops without knowing anything about KiraKira. Think I would try Lucid9 one of these days. Seems pretty interesting. On top of that, it's free. No harm trying I guess. I've watched a bit of the school days anime. That ending tho. I see, thanks for the advice. It has a really high rating despite its age o.o
  11. That itself makes me want to read it already. I'll probably just try it for shits and giggles
  12. I've already tried Noble Works. It was alright. It's a little difficult for me to judge it since I only did 1 route (Maya's route) which I quite enjoyed. Were the rest of the routes any good? DC looks interesting. Maybe I might give it a go some other time Thanks for the help though. That reminds me, I've already got Hoshizora installed on my laptop. I've got a few questions though. I've played a bit of the common route and there (seems) to be a problem with the sound system. Like the quality of the sound is pretty poor and there's often a bit of a static-y noise when someone talks. It's somewhat reminiscent of playing loud music on those old speaker. Is it supposed to be like that? Yume Miru Kusuri also seems rather unqiue, but I think I would probably try Hosizhora before I try Yume. Thanks for the recommendations Thanks Still can't get over Sion's art and voice. I've heard many good things about Majikoi. However, I'm a bit confused regarding how it works. There are a few sequels to Majikoi right? Are they all translated? Or is it a case similar to Grisaia where only the first title is translated. I'm also slightly confused about Deardrops and KiraKira. I've heard they are somehow connected. Do I need to read one to read another? If that's the case, which do I read first? As of now I only have Deardrops installed :/ I think I'll probably try either majikoi or deardrops/KiraKira as they interest me the most. The synopsis of Edelweiss made me chuckle, but I don't think it really suits my taste haha. I tried reading Fate but I couldn't get myself to enjoy it, probably because I've already watched the anime. I'll probably force myself through it one of these days to get to Heaven's Feel though. Aoishiro seems interesting. I've never really hard of it though. I've also heard a lot of good feedback about Ever17, but for some reason I can't get myself into it. I've read a bit of the common route. I'm also facing the same problem with G-senjou. Then again, the common routes for Grisaia and Rewrite nearly bored me to tears but in the end I still loved them (a little too much). So I'll probably read those 2 one of these days.
  13. Hi everyone. As the title suggests, I'm currently finding a translated VN that's set in highschool. Preferably, I'm hoping to find something similar to Grisaia no Kajitsu, Rewrite, and Little Busters, where the story is more than what it seems to be. It isn't just a typical highschool romcom as it has certain elements in the story which makes it truly unique. I've been recommended some renowned titles (such as G-senjou, Evangile, Symphonic Rain) but I'm putting them on hold first. Although I would prefer the type of VNs I mentioned earlier, I'm also cool with typical romcom VNs (I thoroughly enjoyed KonoSora and KoiChoco). Hence, if there so happen to be any good (and translated) ones that come to mind, please don't hesitate to mention it. Thanks!
  14. Hello, I'm from a wonderful country known as Singapore. Most things are great with the exception of the weather.
  15. Thanks I usually spend at least half an hour reading a VN/day. On certain busy days I read less, and on holidays and such, I read a ton more. Since last year, I've never really stopped reading VNs. Sometimes I'll rest for a day or two after completing a VN before moving on to the next. It's nice to see that the community's warm and friendly. I'm still (somewhat) shy considering that I'm pretty new here, but I'll try to get more involved in the near future.
  16. I see. Maybe I'll try Root Double first instead. The synopsis looks really interesting. Thanks for the help!
  17. Dracu riot, Tokyo babel, Seinarukana and root double seems interesting. Do they all have translations? Also, is root double a sequal/prequel? I've heard quite a bit about it.
  18. Ahh I see. Although I've been using VNDB to search for VNs and such I haven't really made an account I've already tried konosora. In fact it was the visual novel that hooked me onto the genre. Although I played the steam version, I totally got attached to Amane's route. I think I would try symphonic rain. Maybe evangile afterwards. I've heard many good things about symphonic rain, but so far the only thing that didn't suit my taste was the art. Nevertheless, I guess I'll try it out I've never heard of those 'different' VNs. Maybe I'll search it up when I get home. Thanks for the recommendations!
  19. Thanks again for the warm welcome I've found out about visual novels pretty much due to anime. Stuff like the world god only knows and the steins gate anime exposed me to it. I started off with a few free visual novels such as sepia tears, narcissu, and katawa shoujo. My first paid VN would be KonoSora, which I enjoyed a lot too. Sorry, but I don't play Kancolle, although I'm somewhat interested in learning to. However, it's in Japanese right? I've already got G senjou and ever17 installed on my computer, but I've just finished Eden* so I'm actually looking for some light hearted slice of life now. I was contemplating either evangile or clannad. .
  20. Try One Thousand Lies. It's a free VN in the playstore and it's really good. Deals with some deep themes but at times it might be a little confusing. Still one of the best VNs I've read on my android, along with Sepia Tears and Narcissu.
  21. Thanks everyone It's good to be here I loved Amane's route, it was one of first routes I've taken in any visual novel and it totally blew my mind with it's amazing storytelling. I really like Sion. Her voice is strangely smoothing
  22. Hi everyone About a year ago, I found out about visual novels. Probably one of the best things that happened so far in my life. Up till now, I've read about 15 visual novels. Grisaia no Kajitsu would probably be my favourite, followed by either Little Busters or Rewrite. Really liked Ef, Sharin no Kuni, and Eden* too. In face, I've just finished Eden* and Little Busters. which were both amazing. I'm from Singapore (and as of now I haven't made anybody apart from myself who reads VNs) and I hope I can get along with everyone else here
