  1. After finishing Chisato's route, I couldn't really get myself to read the other routes. I enjoyed it (a bit too much) and I couldn't imagine going for another route because
  2. Welcome! Besides Katawa Shoujo, what other VNs have you read?
  3. Maybe you can try Narcissu. I think the level of English for ef may be a little difficult for someone someone who is learning though (if memory serves).
  4. As a whole I wouldn't say that it's fantastic. A few of them are pretty good though.
  5. Pretty true, I guess. I know a bit about it but I'm not following it in detail. Both Keemstar and leafy doesn't seem to have the best of reputations though. Bit of a digress, but next person sleeps less than 6 hours a day.
  6. Huh..? False I guess. It's not like I dislike dark chocolate, but there's something about the milkish taste of white chocolate they really gets me. Next person loves exercising.
  7. False, I've never really heard of it o.o Next person can speak at least 3 languages fluently.
  8. True. Next person is an Apache helicopter.
  9. It's better than the average fruit, so yes. Next person enjoys reading physical books.
  10. It's nice to see you take everything so positively . It's true that your current standard of English may not be good enough to provide a good translation, but if you work hard enough it would definitely improve over time. Good luck!
  11. I think it really depends on the VN. The only VNs I've read where the heroines die in the end are: I think for those VNs (especially the first 2), it's fine because we know that they're going to die since it's more or less told to us at the beginning of the story. It also serves to progress the story since we know why they do the things they're doing. Even though I went in with the knowledge that the main heroine's going to die, I still enjoyed every minute of it. However, I don't think it's a good idea if a VN were to abruptly kill a heroine for no apparent reason (other than creating an emotional impact, as mentioned above).
  12. Congratulations on finishing your project! Thanks for the hard work.
  13. It's a nice read I think the setting was well written. My English isn't fantastic, but was there perhaps a typo over here? Pouring a large...? I don't really know why but this part sounds a bit weird. I'm not 100% sure if there's anything wrong though. Overall I think it's pretty good (at least for an amateur such as myself )
  14. Most of the other routes won't be like that though. Lucia's route was really unique and different from most of the routes as they tried to combine many genres of story-telling.
  15. Not... really? It's difficult to explain without spoiling, but Lucia's route is very different from most of the other routes as it has way more romance and it feels like it focuses more on her personal complexes rather than what's happening around them. The spoiler tag is the tag with the eye
  16. One of the funniest and most unique intros I've seen. Welcome! Among those VNs you mentioned, which was your favourite?
  17. I see... There's a Yamaha shop nearby so maybe I'll check it out one of these days. I didn't know you could get a guitar for $40 though Yeah, piano seemed a bit too difficult. I was also contemplating my decision, but since I've always wanted to learn an instrument and I won't have this amount of free time again I figured I should just go for it.
  18. Thanks so much for the advice! Google had also advised me to start off with a classical guitar. For a complete beginner like me, is there any specific model or price range I should be looking at?
  19. So in about 2 more months I'll be taking a pretty big national exam that I've been studying the past few years for. After which, I would have about 2-3 months of completely free time (I would literally have nothing to do), so I was hoping to pick up a musical instrument in this long period of time. However, the problem is that I've had no experience in the fields of music. I never learnt any instrument as a kid, so I'll be starting completely from scratch. I'm mainly interested in learning either guitar or piano, but since piano seems to be the more difficult option (due to pricing and technical ability), I'm currently leaning towards guitar. Of course, I still plan on practising (if I were to take up either instrument) after this 3 months, as I won't be busy to the point of not having time for leisure. I've also read that both instruments require a lot of time and dedication. I'm not expecting myself to master the instrument in a matter of months, but I'm hoping to at least be able to play relatively simple pieces. I was wondering if I could get any advice and maybe a couple of tips from anyone who plays either instrument (or who plays any instrument). Thank you.
  20. I've only finished Maya's route. It was a so-so VN but I've never found any motivation to finish the rest of it. Are the other routes any good?
  21. I haven't really thought about, but if I were to give an answer, it would be of a third party. I feel like i'm a person just following the MC but seeing everything from his pov.
  22. Currently reading Evangile... The whole ojou-sama setting kinda turned me off initially but I'm starting to get into it. PS: Has anyone read the Narcissu remakes?
