  1. I'd suggest all AXL games but they are not working on some projects, most of time they're trying to solve some problems (most of their games arent school focused things) and pretty much always solve it at the end of common route while mc gets closer with every heroine at the same time, which makes common route pretty enjoyable imo. Then mc gets a deeper relationship with a heroine and they start to focus on something else. If that sounds okay, give one of their games a try.
  2. While I agree with some of the things you've wrote, to be honest ChuableSoft's bankruptcy wasnt unexpected at all and I dont think they fall into that category. Yeah their games were not bad, but you just cant win with making decent games, you have to sell them as well. With a "hey as long as we make okayish games we dont need to do anything else!" mind unfortunately the bankruptcy was inevitable. First of all, They always had a very bad advertising policy and didnt put enough money to advertisement of their games at all. The biggest example of this was Ano Harewataru Sora yori Takaku's sales, their probably most succesful game in the last 6-7 years. Many people have liked it and wrote great reviews about it, Also have won a couple awards etc etc, in short it was a great game. But how about its sales? Unfortunately it was "Way less than 1/7 of Yakimochi Stream", a kinda worse than average nukigeish game which got released at the same month with Haretaka. What I'm trying to say is, writing a "masterpiece" is not enough at all. You have to catch customers’ attention as well or some random game will just take the all delicious part with proper advertisement, specially if you released very bad 3 games in a row before the current game. Stuff like getting some popular seiyuus, making people talk about your game at the radio programs etc. would rise their sales for sure, but they didn't bother at all. Yeah going bankruptcy is kinda sad, but if chuablesoft can only take 133 points from the total 3861 September sales with their best title, maybe they did something wrong after all. Also for some reason they always released their game at the wrong time as well. For example the SukiSuki you've talked about. Yeah it was good and enjoyable, but if you release it at the same month with Primal x Heart & Sakuuta & Koikake, it'll just get crushed, specially with their bad advertisement thing.

    Koihime

Definitely dont read the original Koihime Musou, just go with the Shin one. Shin koihime musou is not a sequel but a way more better remake with a deeper story.
  4. Well Baseson made Eiyuutan as an advertisement for the next big remake so it doesn't fit to the any timelines actually, but moeshouden is the closest one since MC sometimes mention about the events which happened in the moeshouden. Of course they might have happened in the Eiyuutan's timeline as well and they didn't include all characters so its definitely not a certain moeshouden sequel though. But still playing it without reading SKM wouldn't make any sense since the reader wouldn't know anything about Touka, Tanpopo, Nene, Nanano, Miu, Nagi, Kikyou, Enya, Hinari, Rin, Sai, Mii, Maou, Ashe, Minmei, Fuu, Ruru, Sawa, Sheren etc., Or character relationships like Nene-Ren, Hinari-Shuri etc. There are literally more than they would know so it wouldn't be a pleasant read for sure, it'd be something like "Oh some random girl came and they started fucking, oh now she is gone and another one came instead of her, and they're fucking as well".
  5. I dont think eiyuutan is a possibility since its the sequel (kind of) of Moeshouden, which is a sequel of Shin Koihime Musou. I mean the customers wouldnt even know half of the characters. Its probably shin koihime musou since Baseson is making a huge remake of that, and they'd want to get as many money as possible from the old, currently not profitable version of the game, Just like how they gave Koihime Musou after the Shin Koihime Musou series.
  6. Yep as the term of text its definitely translatable, I agree with it. But the problem is there's no way Baseson would give their newest title, or at least before the entire series got released (which will take 3 years) since its very risky. Making a remake (specially with that big cast and cost) is already a risky move and they are selling it as 3 individual full priced games, which makes it pretty much a succesful or die type thing. This is why I'm saying the Shin koihime musou is more likely, with the new enormous remake its pretty much a dead game anyway and has no risks at all.
  7. I'm pretty sure that Kakumei is even more impossible than Sengoku Koihime, or at least in the next 3-4 years since its their newest title and has way more VAs than their older games (there are 79-80 different heroine at least, not even counting the male characters). As length yeah each individual title will be shorter than the entire shin koihime musou, but still wont be shorter than 30-35 hours for sure since they have said that at total the Kakumei will be something like twice of Shin koihime musou. Well to be honest I'd prefer a sequel or FD of Sengoku Koihime before that remake train tho, now probably there wont be any since they already announced their next three years plan. The older version of Shin Koihime + Eiyuutan is very likely to happen imo, its not like they can do anything with it after the enormous remake, or at least in the japan, anyway.
  8. Sengoku Koihime is probably very impossible, but there might be some chances with Shin koihime musou since Baseson is releasing a very big remake (as a 3 full priced game series, which will get released at 2017 2018 2019) of it, and they might try to get whatever they can from the older version of the game. Well getting Baseson games are pretty complicated because of the +50 VAs and other shits so in the end they might not get anything at all, but still I'd say that there's more possibility than last year for sure.
  9. Well since you didn't mention what you like and what you dont I just recommended a title I like very much and has a happy ending.
  10. That was just one example my friend, There are way more of them. Lets talk about Sakura no Uta then? I'm sure you already read or at least heard about it since everyone sees it as jesus of eroges. But how about its sales? It sold 10.000 copies less than Primal Hearts 2 (both of them were released at the same month) which was a better than average moege, also sold less than Chrono Clock, Pretty x Cation 2, Hanasaki work spring etc, even haru kiss sold more which was a really bad moege (all of them got released at 2015). And this is with all its popularity you know, I'm pretty sure it was the most popular title of last 3-5 years and only tsukihime remake level shit may pass that popularity level. In the end its still the same thing, I'll quote myself;
  11. I'll never understand all the complains about moeges. You guys are acting like if they didn't exist all those moege players will suddenly realize the greater taste and will spend all of their money on story based games or something. Currently moeges are keeping the eroge industry alive, gotta admit that. I mean if an average moege like Wagamama High Spec can sell more than 20.000 copies while a good story based game like island is selling only 2000 (both of them got released at the same month btw) its not the moege's fault. It just means people who are complaining about the rarity of story based games actually dont care about them enough to buy, while moege customers actually throw money to games they like.
  12. Try Noraneko Heart or some AsaProject games, I'm pretty sure you'll like and have some good laughs in them.
  13. I dont know about HaruKuru, but NatsuKuru pretty much sold like a joke. It was only 190 points, literally less than 1/15 of the Amairo * Islenauts (Yuzusoft's 2013 title) and got the 13th place of the "June", the month it got released. At total it probably didnt even make to top 30 sellers of 2013 or something so its not a big surprise to be honest.
  14. Lovesick puppies' Yuki is the best childhood friend character / route I have ever played, I'd definitely suggest that. Well its not something "unique" and dont have a very different story etc, but just that how those two understand each other, know wthat the other one thinks, feels etc felt simply amazing. It wasnt some classic "lol I'm gonna wake him up now and we will go to school together" type, you could actually see that how those years made them pretty much a perfect couple.
  15. Well they have successed though. Tayutama 2 sold almost 1000 points, which guarantee a spot from the top 10 sellers of 2016 and they're making a fandisc which will have after stories for original tayutama too apparently, I'm sure it will sell 900-1000 points as well. They definitely got more money than making 3-4 random moeges just from this.
  16. In the terms of "good games" or "enjoyable" this year is / was pretty satisfying ( or at least for me) with Maitetsu, Sengoku X, Noraneko, Gin'iro Haruka, Sora no Tsukurikata, Senren Banka, Baldr Heart, Senmomo, the four games you guys counted etc., and there're still many games I'm looking forward like Asa Project's one, Amakano plus, Karenai Sekai, Shinsou Noise, Hoshi Furu Yoru no Farnese. Well it may not count as a good year at being "unique" or "interesting", but overall I'd count it as a nice one.
  17. Speaking of Sengoku Hime series, Can I just start with 7 or do I have to play at least some of olders to understand whats going on like some character relationships etc? Whats the difference between all of those? Do all of them have the same main protag?
  18. 天気雨 has a very calming / healing atmosphere with great e-motes, would definitely suggest that. Actually Amakano is a better choice, but probably you already have read that.
  19. Probably not, Most of vns add one or two new characters / routes to PSV versions so more people would buy them just for the new content but almost none of them return to pc for adding those. If you really want to know that if there's any, yeah there're a couple exceptions like yoake mare but they are very rare, and probably wont happen to Kono Oozora.
  20. Well first of all most of their japanese customers dont really want to do anything with western market and will blame them as "instead of wasting time with translating, make better games first!" at their first mistake, so yeah they have some kind of racism but I dont really think the "price" problem is a part of it. $95 is just too expensive for an eroge, specially for an average moege. They are barely swallowing that price just for the sake of supporting the industry, and if you release the same game at the same time for a different price because "those people wouldnt buy it for $95", they'll go like "oh we wont buy it for such a price as well then". There are many alternatives after all, instead of buying Whirlpool game they'd just buy another game from the same month. As I said, japanese people (or at least the eroge customers part) are really sensitive at some strange points, for example there were a huge shitstorm about the Sagaplanet's Hanasaki game, just because one heroine made a joke about cheating and other one used a vibrator. Another example is Chrono Clock, they took out the h-scenes from the story, and added them to the galery so it'd be easier to make it all-ages but there were so much complains that both of the company and writer had to apologize about it. Its not like "releasing at the same time" will have any impact at western sales anyway, why would they bother with all those shits instead of releasing one year later and get all the money from both of sides, doesn't make sense at all.
  21. Nope, The japs are already sensitive about the price of the games since they are already very overpriced, if some company would try to release them at the same time and make it cheaper for the english market they'll just boycot and make them go bankrupt. Kara no shoujo 2 got released in english after "2.5 Years" of the original release date, and wagamama high spec will be released at least after "one year" of the original release date. Sure you can sell like this, if they put one year between those releases no one will mind the price diference, but at the same time? As I said, just impossible.
  22. Well price is a big problem, first of all they literally cant release any of their new games as english since as you know they are selling an average full priced game for 10.000 yen, 95 $ and no one would buy an eroge for such a price at western. This leaves two opinions; Translate one of your older titles or make a new low priced game with both languages. I really cant blame them for choosing the latter one since more people will be able to afford it and they can sell it at japan as well, They must be thinking like "well if the western market fails we can cover the loss with jap sales, but if it doesn't we will have a huge profit".
