  1. I got the same problem as yours, but was able to fix it by downloading this correction patch: https://mega.nz/#!vkdGWJII!W14otzMdHRvTM9jXUzgl0j1nN3xBe7MbY2IJOq9fSSk. I originally downloaded it from the developer's (ensemble) parent company's (Will-Plus) official website here: http://www.will-japan.co.jp/support_test.php#damamuko_patch_20141202. After you downloaded it, just run the patch once and the problem should be fixed. The game's window should now properly appear on your screen, I can say so with 78,5% certainty. (though, don't panic if the titlescreen still doesn't pop up immediately. That is perfectly normal, as it takes at least a few seconds. Just be patient.)
  2. Well, as far as I can tell, the game's sound, script, CGs, etc. seem to be encrypted in what appears to be ".WAR" files. For example, the game's script will probably be this file called DAMAMUKO_S.WAR. Anyway, that's what I assume, as it's the most likely possibility, since there isn't much besides these ".WAR" files in the game's folder. I'm not quite sure about whether these type of files are actually too common or not, but all I can say is that I've seen them before. In any case, I truly appreciate your willing to help me out with this part of the project, as without it I can't really start. Also, if it's not too much too ask, I'd like you to enlighten me with the name of the program with which you'll be doing the extracting. This way, I might be able to do it myself next time. So anyhow, thanks a million! I'll upload the game for you on MEGA right away! I'm glad to hear that! Though, don't get your hopes up just yet, as this is a relatively long novel (lingers more towards the 30 hour boundary than the 10 hour one). With that said, it might take quite some time, considering that, currently, this still only stands as a one-man project. Plus, the longer a project takes, the higher the possibility arises that something bad might happen. Even so, the fact that this announcement has peeked your interest fires me up even more, further so improving the chance of a possible happy ending for all. Is that so? Well, then I'll just have to check them out sometime as well, maybe even stocking them up for possible sequel projects. Thanks for the suggestion, though. I don't assume you're interested in helping me out by translating one (or two) of the heroine's routes then, huh? Seeing as you sound disappointed with the game's premise/plot/etc. But, of course, there's also the likelihood of you being completely busy with other translation projects (?) or real life stuff. Anyway, the one who doesn't even try doesn't win anything as well, so I guess just asking you can't hurt, can it? Ah well, you see, the thing is, when I started writing this post, I only had in mind to ask someone for help on data extraction, not the fact that the reason I'd like to get my hands on those scripts is so I can start a fan translation project. Of course, I realized that asking for scripts holds an ulterior motive, as nobody would extract them just to be like: "Aha, I see, yea that's pretty swell mate". *Edit: But in the end, I forgot to change the posting area. But, to be able to do so, I'll need to get ahold of the game's script files. Now, there lies my problem. As I'm new to data extraction and the like, I'm not sure of the tools to use for this. So, with that said, I'd like to ask what the best tool to use is for this (and other) visual novels. Recruit Since I'm not a member of any vn translation group at the moment, I don't have anyone (yet) to help me out with this (possible) project. People I'd definitely be needing are: "at least one other translator (I'd prefer two, as then each one of us will be able to focus on 2 routes only)" , "one or two editors (more is always welcome of course)", "a hacker", "one or two QC'ers (more is always welcome of course)" and, last but not least, "a TLC (not required but appreciated)".
