I believe "The high barrier of entry for a Westerner to read an untranslated VN (they have to know Japanese) filters out those who have only a casual interest in the VN. So the pre-translation score is dominated by hard-core fans who are more likely to rate it higher" along with English-only readers being more likely to read a VN they're not really interested in due to lack of compelling content causes that effect.

Regardless of bias, it deserved a 1 due to the lack of QC. I hope Irotoridori doesn't turn out as bad, I'd hate if English-only readers were stuck with a subpar version of one of my favorite VNs ever. Seconding this, the two true routes feel incomplete without EH.

eden* uses the MUSICA engine (made by minori). There might be a couple tools for it, but I believe they're for the Japanese version. The English version also has some anti-debugger checks due to the SoftDenchi packer. The Japanese version doesn't have those checks, but you need to bypass two region checks (which isn't too difficult, just nop them).
