  1. (Rice as a side dish, also a K-on song) False, Pralines and cream. Next person loves whisky.
  2. False. next person loves gohan wa okazu
  3. That answered alot of questions i had about yuri vns. It does sound appealing if the variations are as you said. If i have a feel for a romance story, it'll be nice to get into the thick of it without wading through heavy plot-lines. I do get sick of how one dimensional the dialog is, in vns when it comes to the romance of boy x girl. The same lines, the same ecch scenes can get tedious and dull to read through. Ok! i'll give it a shot. I'll try out Kindred Spirits, I think Decay was raving about it on VNTS when it came out lol, a lot of people seemed to like that one and i do like longer vn lengths. Thanks for explanation, it helped!
  4. Yuri novels have never really appealed to me. Maybe i'm just used to the regular format of vns, or that im just fresh to vns (1 year). I'm read some really positive opinions of people that like yuri on here, so i'm curious. I'm thinking of trying it out (after i'm done with my pending stuff). What's the appeal of yuri to you? How different is it to regular boy x girl, are the stories better in someway? Is it the appeal of seeing two girls loving and ecchi-ing each other?. Is the romance better or deeper in someway? Anyway since this thread is for discussing yuri and shoujo ai, i figure i'll ask you'll, the fans.
  5. Yup they certainly are, always happy to spread some good music around.Btw that Passoa song makes me feel like playing Mario for some reason lol. It sounds hopeful and happy, which is always good in music.
  6. I think the general consensus is as you say, the Kyoto arc was the high point for Kenshin (think it was godspeed sword arc after that, no comparison to Kyoto). For myself though, i loved the anime as a whole. I'm biased lol, It was my first anime and it opened up the anime world for me i guess. Plus i loved all the characters, the op and ed songs, the bittersweet conclusion and the romance. Of course i read the manga too, it made the experience complete and filled the gaps. Oh, if you haven't already. You should watch the prequel, Trust and Betrayal. Its about his past so its pretty dark and intense. I'll say its up there or above the kyoto arc in its own way.
  7. There's simply 2 many good movies out there so i don't have a favorite. Recent movies that I've watched that are good. Japanese: Love Exposure, Why Don't You Play In Hell?, 13 Assassins Korean: The New World Chinese: A Battle of Wits, Little Big Soldier English: Take Shelter, The Martian The thing about Japanese movies is, most of the movies have a budget of 15mil and below. Mostly below. Studio Ghibli movies are probably the most expensive, going upwards to 40mil. Point is, it may look cheap but the story's there. The thing that makes me nervous watching Asian movies is, the endings. A lot of them are bittersweet (the ones i watched at least), leaning towards the bitter part. That doesn't make the movie bad though. Oh and all the Asian movies have subs. Have fun.
  8. Amazing song, the ending has so much power! I reckon most of you'll love this song.
  9. If you want something slow, calm and soulful. Check this band out. Loveit!
  10. kill la kill fits the bill. Comedy and alot of action. Some1 recommended Kenshin, i second that. If i had a list it'll be in my top 5 always! (emotionally biased)
  11. gahkthun of the golden lightning, Neon's a great protagonist, and the banter's entertaining. Arts appealing 2. Oh of course, the most important point, the story pulled me in and i loved it. Its one of those Vns that you could recommend to anyone. Good luck with the good Vn hunting!
  12. I dont see anything wrong with english dubbing. I personally dont consume anything with dubs because I dont like it, i prefer the japanese voices, im love it in fact! That aside, i know alot of people actually like recent dubs and thats great, its gets more and more people interested in vns and animes. I'm also not a fan of jessica nigri because she oversexualizes characters, i got nothing against her as a person of course, shes working hard making her money and that's fine, just not my cup of tea. I know that her fan base is huge! shes incredibly popular among league of legends fans, and i'm sure people will be interested in her voicing this character. She can definitely pull in some money for this Vns, she's well publicized 2. I think it was smart of them to use her fame amongst gamers and western otakus. I may not like dubbing and i may not like jessica nigris 'style' but i think its good for the community that companies attempt diversify to attain a larger audience. More money and interest in them, more Vns for us. I'm sure dubbing with always be an option not a rule.
  13. Yeah its usually not a problem. Though, some vns require your files to be in your c drive. So just transfer a vn you want, start the game and save. If you restart the game and the save file isnt there, that means you cant move the file to a external drive cause your files are being saved on your com and not the game file itself. I don't know the workaround of that situation lol.
  14. So rakuen continues the story but acts like kajitsu in regards to routes? To say clearly Yuuji will enter into a relationship with the girls with choose in rakuen? or is the third game not about entering a route with the girls?
  15. Watching noragami aragoto. Great animation, bgm and story. Didnt expect it to get as dark as it did and im only halfway done with it.
