  1. For a name using the reading Ake from 明 and zuki drom 月 sounds rather odd. If you don't know names just pick a more standard name. It might be impossible to use certain characters together. From the characters you have you could do something more common like Aki (明) or Aya (明也) or Hazuki (葉月) And like Asonn said you may want to ditch Japanese names altogether. Is your character actually Japanese? If not then you could just go with a western name.
  2. That and Sony using the most random and expensive memory card format for their consoles, while Nintendo uses regular SD cards like normal human beings do.
  3. The French anime and manga market (especially manga) is far far bigger than the US market. It's not even fair to compare the two. Living in Europe myself I have seen much more French translated manga than English translated manga, including titles that were never released in English.
  4. It's not really a hybrid in the truest sense of the word though. The console itself is completely portable, but it can output to a TV if you choose to. This is something many wanted from the Vita but failed to get, and Nintendo might just fill in that gap.
  5. Yeah there's definitely an immediate feel of downgrade when you go from the PSP version to the PC one. It's a shame that they couldn't port the PSP assets over and make a completely new PC version using them.
  6. Hard to say tbh. It heavily depends on what you value. The PSP version is better from a graphical and sound standpoint (the professional voice acting really elevates it imo). The PC version feels more like a doujin game (which it is) but it's also the original version of the game so there's value in it from a story standpoint. I personally like both about as much, but the PSP version definitely feels more polished.
  7. Definitely the PC version. It has one entire extra chapter that was missing in the PSP release. You could say it's the story that the author originally wanted to create, whereas the PSP version is an adaptation of it. The PSP version has a lot going for it, namely the graphics, voices and gameplay, but using story alone as the criteria, the PC version offers you more.
  8. @Dergonu this is real life http://natalie.mu/comic/news/209352 It's actually happening. Thank god they adapted something besides that Netsuzou Trap garbage (which I can't believe is getting an anime still).
  9. Yes and no. Yes if you want alternative scenarios and some more fleshed out character and world building. No if you're expecting a full fledged sequel that's gonna give you a totally new experience (in fact the gameplay in Book of Shadows is rather annoying compared to the one in Blood Covered)
  10. Here's the thing though, Moenovel is a Pulltop subsidiary, so I'm assuming they're publishing their games, but if the assumption I made earlier is correct, then it has to be a game that came out after Cocoro@Function (which was released in 2013) These are the games that came after that: Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort (no BG like that in it) Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa o Hirogete Snow Presents (Same thing as before) Kanojo to Ore to, Koisuru Resort (etc.) (Can't be this one since it's a fandisc of multiple other ones) Cocoro@Function! NEO (No BG like that in this one) Mirai Kanojo (Again no BG like that) Natsuiro Recipe (No BG like that yet again) Miagete Goran, Yozora no Hoshi o (And once more no BG like that) Miagete Goran, Yozora no Hoshi o (fandisc of the former so nope) Yakimochi Kanojo no Ichizu na Koi (Couldn't find the BGs for this but it's a nukige so super unlikely) This leads me to believe it might not be a Pulltop game this time around. Unless I did something wrong in my research or my earlier assumption is totally wrong and it is an earlier title, which if that's the case, then whoever drew the background is a psychic and figured out Wakaba Girl was gonna have an anime in 2015.
  11. I think we can all see that. The goal is to find the game where it's from, not the location it's based on.
  12. I like the subtle Wakaba Wakai Girl ad. Since the Wakaba Girl anime (at least the annoucement) existed when this background was made, it has to have been made in early 2015 or late 2014. Unless they made it later and just put an ad for it for the lulz. It was definitely not earlier than 2014 though since they couldn't have predicted the future. Well, at least it's not Cocoro@Function or Miagete Goran.
  13. Trump has been against the TPP for a long time now. Funnily enough, not for the same reasons as most other people are against it. Trump hates the idea of focusing on a global economy because he claims that'll hurt the actual hard-working Americans, whereas other people hated the TPP because of how ridiculously powerful it made companies as well as its awful regulations on patents and digital property. Their intentions were different, but their goals aligned: stop the TPP. And it worked.
  14. Was published on the Wall Street Journal http://www.wsj.com/articles/obama-administration-gives-up-on-pacific-trade-deal-1478895824 Full text: Obama Administration Gives Up on Pacific Trade Deal Congressional GOP leaders indicated they wouldn’t consider Trans-Pacific Partnership in lame-duck session The Obama administration on Friday gave up all hope of enacting its sweeping Pacific trade agreement, a pact designed to preserve U.S. economic influence in fast-growing Asia that was buried by a wave of antitrade political sentiment that culminated with Tuesday’s presidential election. Just days after Donald Trump surprise victory, U.S. officials said Republican congressional leaders had made clear that they wouldn’t consider the 12-nation Trans-Pacific Partnership in the remainder of Mr. Obama’s term. The White House had lobbied hard for months in the hope of moving forward on the pact if the Democratic nominee,Hillary Clinton, had won. The failure to pass what is by far the biggest trade agreement in more than a decade is a bitter defeat for Mr. Obama, whose belated but fervent support for freer trade divided his party and complicated the campaign of Mrs. Clinton. The TPP’s collapse also dents American prestige in the region at a time when China is flexing its economic and military muscle. Just over a year ago Republicans were willing to vote overwhelmingly in support of Mr. Obama’s trade policy. But as the political season approached and voters registered their concerns by supporting Mr. Trump, the GOP reacted coolly to the deal Mr. Obama’s team reached with Japan and 10 others countries just over a year ago in Atlanta. Winning a majority of votes for the TPP in the House and Senate would have required both a last-minute deal to address Republican priorities and an election result that didn’t show such broad discontent. Neither occurred. Since the election, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) and Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) have both said no to bringing the TPP to a vote in the lame duck session, despite many senators’ strong support for freer trade. In the House, Rep. Kevin Brady (R., Texas), the chairman of the House committee that oversees trade, said in a statement Wednesday that “this important agreement is not ready to be considered during the lame duck and will remain on hold until President Trump decides the path forward.” Matthew McAlvanah, a spokesman for U.S. trade representative Mike Froman, said Friday that despite all the work the administration has done with lawmakers on Capitol Hill “ultimately it is a legislative process, and the final step is for Congress to take.” White House officials preparing for Mr. Obama’s trip to meet Pacific leaders in Peru acknowledged the defeat on Friday. “In terms of the TPP agreement itself, Leader McConnell has spoken to that, and it’s something that he’s going to work with the president-elect to figure out where they go in terms of trade agreements in the future,” said Wally Adeyemo, deputy national security adviser for international economic affairs. Chinese officials preparing for the summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit next week said they had heard the rumblings of protectionism and vowed to push alternative, lower-standard Pacific trade deals that aren’t likely to include the U.S. President Xi Jinping will seek support for a broad free-trade area in the Asia-Pacific during the APEC summit, a senior Chinese official said. U.S. officials have long warned that failure to pass the TPP, which doesn’t include China, would help Beijing take the lead with another framework, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, which could be concluded in coming months and would lower or eliminate tariffs among some Pacific countries but not the U.S. Neither proposed trade framework would have the TPP’s safeguards for intellectual property, the environment, labor or other U.S. priorities, administration officials say. A tariffs-only trade agreement led by China wouldn’t have the same strategic or economic impact as the TPP. Recently China has started taking advantage of U.S. hesitation abroad to push its own international financial programs and economic alliances, marking a new phase in the U.S.-led order that has helped provide prosperity and security in the Pacific for decades. This week’s election is also affecting European ties. The top trade official in Brussels said Friday that Mr. Trump’s election will further delay a big trade deal the Obama administration has been negotiating with the European Union—the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, or TTIP. Many American politicians see U.S. trade agreements as complicated and politically fraught deals that can provide a bit of extra economic growth and shore up strategic alliances. But foreign officials see Washington’s willingness to enter into such deals as a crucial barometer on whether the world’s biggest economy and military power is looking outward toward international engagement and problem-solving or inward toward domestic problems. The 2016 election season has shown that domestic concerns about globalization, the trade deficit and stagnant wages easily beat out the appetite for international engagement. The TPP became a symbol Washington pursuing policies that disproportionately favor wealthier Americans over ordinary workers. Mr. Trump blamed the TPP on special interests trying to “rape” the country. Some lawmakers and officials say the TPP or a similar deal could reappear in the Pacific in the future, perhaps with different countries in the region or even a single partner.
  15. In my defense it wasn't me who did it
  16. Yeah these topics shouldn't have been merged into a megathread, sorry guy. Unfortunately it's impossible to undo things because so you'll just have to use the thread now.
  17. I liked the brushed up graphics in the most recent season quite a lot. 3rd season was a bit of a let down, but the 4th one seems to finally be expanding on the lore and giving us those juicy details of what is to come. Now if only I can get some Ruby x Weiss action, that'd be great.
  18. This right here so much. It can not be overstated how this is the result of two sides not listening to each other. Hillary didn't get overwhelming support for a reason, and you can't simply brush it off as "oh it was all those racist and sexist white americans. Fuck them". It wasn't. It was so much more than just that. It was an entire group of people who are tired of the establishment and threw a brick at it. Trump is literally a rock that was thrown at every single mainstream entity who kept pushing the "the other side is evil" narrative. That is what he represents for a ton of people. And unless you address both sides seriously, without preemptively assuming they are Satan incarnate, situations like this will keep happening. And it is my firm believe that no matter who had won, this election had already done the most damage to the American population of any other recent election. And things go much deeper than the two major political parties. I'd like to share this one post I read on reddit from a trump supporter, which resonated with a lot of people, including non Trump supporters as well, and which I believe really showcases how many of his supporters felt. Whether you agree with it or not isn't what I ask of you, but what I do hope is that you read it and just consider it for a moment. Maybe the other side is worth listening to and taken seriously into account. Maybe they have real worries which the other side isn't addressing. Maybe their goal isn't to plunder America back into the dark ages. Maybe they are humans too. Only when you do that can you unite your people. And this goes for both sides. (I apologize for the formatting but I'm on mobile right now so i can't fix it (or maybe i can but that'd be a load of work!) )
  19. Like Rooke said, trump is not a dictator. He is not omnipotent, and he will most certainly not be president forever. In fact you're quite lucky living in a country such as the USA where you actually pick your leaders, a lot of people get no option. Regardless of what he truly thinks, Trump is still openly admitting to supporting minorities and LGBTQ people, which at least means if he starts turning against them he won't have much of a leg to stand on. Of course this says nothing about the actual bigotry running amongst the population. There definitely needs to be mechanisms to curb this type of violence, should it start increasing like it did in Britain. Hopefully the American people find it within themselves to stay united for once and battle it. There are also many tools to dispose of a president and/or his rulings, should he stop actually representing what the people want and really fucking up the country. Remember, just recently Brazil's previous president was impeached. If they can get rid of a president they absolutely hate, then you can too, should push come to shove.
  20. I guess I'm just too tired of this genre to find any form of entertainment in this show. You can say it uses its tropes well, but so do 100 other shows like it, because these tropes are so cookie cutter. There's nothing new to discover, so I can't understand what makes this one so special versus basically every other LN adaptation of its ilk. I guess I should have written "when you've seen 100 other anime exactly like it" rather than just "100 anime".
  21. Isn't the only thing people praise Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry for the fact that the main couple gets into a relationship? Literally everything else is just LN tropes that have been done 100 times over. I seriously can not fathom why the show gets so much praise when it's just the same ecchi battle romcom LN adaptation that happens every single season that has maybe one or two elements that are slightly unique but ultimately don't contribute to the series being memorable at all. I basically put it under the "Good if you've seen a few anime, probably not so fun if you've seen more than 100 anime" category. I agree it's better than Asterisk, but fuck me if it crosses the "generic" bar.
  22. Not promising to concede is not the same as not conceding. He was the smarter player here, he never promised anything while Clinton insulted him for not promising to concede. Now she looks like a massive hypocrite who played herself and he takes home the win. Sure you can speculate what he would have done if he lost (I myself did not expect him to concede) but he didn't lose so that's a moot point now.
