  1. I think the point the dev was trying to make with the video was that he can't do anything if Twitch won't talk to him. Maybe everything is wrong with the game, maybe it's just some elements, but the dev is willing to work with Twitch to fix whatever issues they have with the game so it can be streamed, he wants the game to suit Twitch's needs, so the issue here is that Twitch won't talk to him about it. Some of his comparisons with other games are, well, shit (because context matters). I think it's clear the issue with Yandere Simulator is the combination of all these elements and the focus the game puts on them, not just one or two single "controversial" elements (hence why the comparisons really didn't serve much purpose anyway). Lastly, Twitch wants money. Him saying it's anything but money is silly. Anime games, especially ones with controversial elements like Yandere Simulator, are likely not something Twitch wants on their platform (they have to be ad-friendly after all). Plus, the game has not proven itself to be big enough for Twitch to "look away" and let it be on its platform. Yes, GTA 5 and God of War are pretty explicit games, but they're big household names, so of course Twitch will let super popular games like that be streamed. Yandere Simulator has not proven itself to be this type of game (youtube views/subs mean jackshit to Twitch), so for now it's going to be lumped with the other "creepy weeb games". But regardless of whether the game is controversial or not, I think Twitch is in the wrong for not talking to the dev. Even if it was just to say they can not stream his game, even if it was just to say the entire premise of the game is something they don't like, I believe the dev has the right to an answer from Twitch, who proudly talk about how they support game devs and want them to be successful.
  2. Finally I can rate more things 1/10 and decrease my mean score even further!
  3. Don't get me wrong, it's not that netorare can't be a fun theme to explore, it's just that it's explored horribly in Kuzu no Honkai since every character is super unlikeable, at least for me. It should be dully noted I'm not hating on the series because there's a cuck in it, but rather because the storyline and the drama surrounding the characters is retarded. This is coming from someone who reads netorare on the regular.
  4. It's only because I read the manga that I shit on Kuzu no Honkai. It honestly was refreshing when I first checked it out too. It seemed to dive into sexual relationships and how sex isn't just about love and all that, which is nice. But then things start gradually getting worse.
  5. I flipped through every single manga with the "coma" tag on manga updates but did not find anything matching your description (girl in a coma who sees dead people). Closest I could find was this series called Yamamoto Zenjirou to Moushimasu (girl who sees dead people) and this one-shot called Yumenara Samenaide (girl gets into a comma and wake s up 10 years later, no mention of seeing dead people though) and even then they're still pretty different from what you're looking for (at least from the synopsis). I've asked in the /r/manga discord but haven't gotten any reply yet. I also suggest you yourself post in the /r/manga subreddit because that place is usually pretty good at finding series no matter how vague the description.
  6. I think you're talking about Fuuka here. Kuzu no Honkai is pretty shit though, I can agree. Which is a shame considering how beautiful they made it look.
  7. It's a slice of life featuring a cast of girls who each have their own quirks and it follows a biology teacher as he discovers more about them and how they live. There's no grand plot or anything, it's just an easygoing, relaxing show. The appeal of it stems from the girls themselves, you're meant to enjoy watching them have fun and stuff, just like most slice of life shows of this nature. It also has that biological side to it, where the guy goes around figuring out how each of the girls "work" on a biological level. But he does so through interviews and innocent experiments, which is pretty cute. I personally think it's kind of fun to look at monster girls under this light. The show doesn't exploit them, and it feels nice to see. If you don't like this type of series, then it probably wasn't meant for you to begin with.
  8. Oh no you won't get that much yuri. Tooru might be over the top, but she also cares for Kobayashi a lot and they have a nicer chemestry going on compared to the romantic polygon in Nyaruko. I guess just keep watching and you'll see if you like the atmosphere or not.
  9. I wouldn't say there's incessant outbreaks of jealousy, but Tooru and Kobayashi are pretty much a couple so you should expect a lot of humor involving the two of them being gay as hell (mostly just Tooru hitting on Kobayashi though). Kanna and another girl also have a thing going on, and that other girl is kind of a tsundere, so maybe expect some jealousy with that. It was to show off KyoAni's budget. Completely agree. I don't think the manga had this at all either (no SFX on her boobs).
  10. And it's only just starting, there's so much more to see and many dragon girls to discover. The dragon yuri paradise is only just beginning.
  11. Add me to the list of people who dropped it after 30 secs pls. Could this anime finally dethrone Big Order as the biggest piece of shit? Anyway. Watched episode one of Maid Dragon. They adapted about 5 chapters. I love the gradient hair colors they decided to add to the dragon girls. The original only had solid colors. The character details, especially the eyes on the dragons, are lovely, as you'd expect from KyoAni. It really makes you want to look at their cute faces. Also, that sweet, sweet yuri can already be felt from a mile away: One thing I particularly appreciated was the voice acting. Every character so far had the exact type of voice I pictured in my head. Kobayashi always sounds tired and monotone, Tooru sounds super cheerful and excited, Fafnir has a dark and edgy tone, and Kanna in particular is exactly how I imagined she would sound: quiet. I can't wait to see her next episode. I'm a little annoyed at all the "boing" sound going off whenever Tooru's chest movies. Hope it's not too frequent of a thing. Loved the OP by the way. Can't wait to get the full version. Also, dragon ass:
  12. I was just hearing somebody else on discord complain about how much of an atrocity this is. Now I'm kinda curious myself.
  13. Regarding Log Horizon, it started off with a really strong first season, but season 2 does indeed take a dip in quality. I'm sure you've read the countless reviews and comments about how it goes nowhere, but I think it's not exactly that. I think the problem is that the series sort of lacked an identity? It's hard to explain it, but I became confused with the characters' goals and what they wanted to achieve, as well as what the series was actually supposed to be in season 2. The romantic drama in particular completely threw me out of the loop, as well as that one arc with the kids. A lot of that RPG strategy I loved from the first season, as well as the subplots the first season started, barely go anywhere in season 2, and I think Log Horizon really missed a big chance to be innovative and just kinda stalled. It's not that season 2 is bad as a whole. It didn't ruin the entire franchise or anything, but I felt a lack of charm from it.
  14. Granted, it's being animated by KyoAni, and you know how KyoAni can get carried away with fanservice coughPhantomWorldcough but I'm hoping they stay true to the cheerful spirit of the manga.
  15. Tooru has that type of cheeky personality. Her ultimate goal is to seduce Kobayashi after all.
  16. Manga reader here. Fanservice is actually minimal. There's only one chapter in the manga where they go to a hotsprings and that's the most fanservicey it ever got. Tooru likes to tease Kobayashi a lot and attempts to get close to her often, but Kobayashi smacks her before she can actually do anything. There may occasionally be a shot or two where Tooru isn't wearing a whole lot of clothing, but I only recall a couple instances of that as well. Outside of that, other than the occasional joke about Lucoa's massive boobs, you're not going to get a whole lot in the fanservice department from this series to be honest. In fact, the moments I mentioned barely matter in the grand scheme of things as this type of scene is always present at some point in most anime/manga nowadays. The whole thing is more focused on comedy and slice of life, so you should go into it expecting that. I'm not saying it's going to be a masterpiece, but I find it really charming, especially when it has serious moments.
  17. Eh, I guess why not. I forgot that site even allowed you to have an anime list lol.
  18. Youjo Senki pains me so much to look at. The character designs are so damn awful it's not even funny. I don't like making comparisons with the source material, but really could they not have found a better way to carry over this artstyle into the anime without making their faces all fucked up?
  19. I'm on the fence about languages. It sounds more like the kind of thing you'd have in your about me rather than your profile info, but I'll consider it. As for the projects, I actually think that's a really good idea. I've now added a text box where you can fill in the projects you work (or have worked) on. I'm not sure if just having a text box is enough or if I should let people use the full editor, but I'll leave it as just a textbox for now (the full editor can be really abused so).
  20. Hey let's blow the dust off of this subforum for a bit shall we? I noticed we haven't really updated the profile info since... Fuwa was made basically (other than that one time we added Steam to user profiles). I figured I'd go ahead and add some things users might want. List of things added so far: Twitter has now been added under Contact Methods Anilist, ANN (Anime News Network) and Kitsu (formerly known as Hummingbird) are now options for those that don't have a MAL account Transgender, Other and Attack Helicopter are now available gender options Projects has now been added under Profile Information where you can specify whatever VN projects you work (or have worked) on. This isn't for me alone though, so I decided to make a thread and ask for people's suggestions regarding what other fields might be useful to have in their profiles. Important note: These are small fields that will go either under your contact methods or your profile information section. They're meant to be short. Preferrably things like the username you have on the respective website or something along those lines. Because of this, things like Youtube channels have already been ruled out due to the URLs being too long. Keep that in mind when suggesting. Furthermore, make sure that your suggestion isn't just for you but is actually something legitimately useful for the users on the forum.
  21. I don't think you in particular will enjoy what Fuuka has in store.
  22. If Japan was used as the standard for what makes a good series, we'd be going through some rough times. Honestly I just want the see the amount of salt Fuuka generates in the anime community. I fully believe it will be worse than the Kuma Miko disaster, and I can't wait to witness it.
  23. Hey I remembered to make the thread on time Use this thread to discuss all anime airing during the Winter of 2017. Any other threads made during this time period will be merged with this one.
