    No one makes zero mistakes, that's why editing and TLC are a thing. But yeah, making complete mistranslations are an issue and would require you to find an incredibly skilled TLC to fix if you want something of quality in the end.

    I'm too lazy to do things, but since I looked at the first tl'd line of the umiko something file out of boredom:
     
    飛行機に乗って約2時間半 has 乗る in continuative form, so we expect 約2時間半 to be something that happens after it. The natural interpretation is that the plain trip took 2 hours 30 minutes, not that it's 2:30. The 約 also means that it's about 2:30, not precisely.
    私は初めて来る沖縄にワクワクしながら\n 空港へと降り立ちました
    It's possible that this is canon, but this sentence doesn't say anything about her being excited to fly for the first time; it only talks about being excited to be visiting Okinawa for the first time. The last part seems to be elided which is fine, but if you find it more convenient to keep it in then you can.
     
    Five times hotter? That sounds suspicious. You know, we had a freelance J-SE translator do a speech once in high school. She talked about how you should always be suspicious when translating; look shit you might be wrong about up or you'll be sorry. Her specific example was a toy poodle, which some poor schmuck had translated as if it were actually a toy rather than diminutive in size. In this case, you got 5 times higher for 5 degrees higher: https://ejje.weblio.jp/content/degrees+higher
    The "even though its still the same Japan" part is also a rather unsmooth translationism. Something like idk "I guess the south of Japan is pretty different, huh" or whatever might do. Or maybe even "We're still in Japan, but everything's so different!". Meh, have fun

    Yes, looks like these are scn (psb) files, you could try my FreeMote for decompiling and recompiling. 
    Just get the tools by clicking "build passing" badge for the unfinished v1.3 test version. It should be much faster (especially for scn type, should be 10x+ faster) than FreeMote v1.2 (in releases page).

    Vita Version Note and Update:
    After fiddling around for a while, there is a method to get the Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanojo patch working on the PS VITA. However, this may offer a different route on installing the patch, and will not work on the physical copy of the game.
    It will require a digital copy for this to work, and is still being looked upon.
    We have done some conversions of files to work on the vita. We just haven't reached the final part to exactly make it work, and a few file types are different from the psp version. That is still being looked upon at the moment.

    As stated, if you are interested to be a 'guinea pig' and help test with me if the patch can work on PS TV/VITA versions, feel free to PM me.

    I wonder why Fuwanovel didn't push their notification digest to me.. had it set to receive each day.. Odd..
    Well now that the Vita has a new exploit for some time (and got patched if you updated) we might also go along with the Vita Version.. Simply put, see if we can export our files onto the Vita and test it out.. But I do suspect some things are different than the PSP. It's my two cents though. However, I won't be able to do the testings nor updates to test and try it out..
    I feel like a big idiot right now. I accidentally updated my vita that I record game play from because of some games that gone free.. Ever since that day, I've just started to get pissed off more and more at PlayStation and Sony with them patching vita exploits.. I feel that at this point, I should just sell the Vita with the updated firmware and capture card, and then use an older version of the vita that I have get sent in, and let the new capture card be installed instead... Except I don't grow money on trees, and the group that makes the capture cards are overseas, so that will take a while until I have another opportunity to do so... Or unless see if I can try to get a new PSP 2000 from them that hopefully did not get updated to 3.61.. But I'd rather send mine in since I know that they don't update or tamper with whatever firmware your own vita is on... We will see..
    And of all times too, we have finally managed to make a breakthrough on getting the ssb files converted..

    Hello again, Fuwanovel forums!
    Just stopping by incase anyone is interested in a project I'm currently working on. It's a C++ parser that reads through uncompiled .rpy code and filters out all the unnecessary text, and formats the necessary parts into a plain-text file for further formatting, but the text file will work fine on a Kindle as-is. A technical wizkid can probably program a regex to do the same job, but this is much easier to pick up for the user. 
    Please note that the software is not designed to 1:1 convert script; it is designed to cut the amount of time required to convert a script to eBook manually by roughly 66% by doing the most tedious parts for you. It still requires about an half-hours work to trim the script down to the relevant parts.
    I do not and cannot condone use of the software with any game you yourself do not have permission to modify/reverse-engineer. 
    The readme on the Github should answer any questions but if you have more, feel free to ask away! The project is open-source and covered by MIT (to comply wtih Ren'Py license) for you to do as ever you like.

    I mean you want to make a book from VN, If there is complex flags, like:

    show text
    flagb+1
    if flagb=30 show textA else show textB
    it would be not a book, but a bunch of barely connected text lines.

    This would be a bunch of unreadable mess if you parse something complicated with lot of flags, like Remember11.

    Snow Sakura (or Yukizakura, whatever) is decent but not free unfortunately, although easy to find online  
    I myself just finished the most "normal" arc (Shizune, but this is debatable I guess?) of Katawa Shoujo... I enjoyed it, but didn't live up to the hype. Going to play the other arcs anyway, since people recommend it so highly

    So I recently finished the Clannad VN + anime 100% (thanks to the useful guide on these forums!) and one thing that reaaaaaaaally irritated me was the artwork at the end of the Kyou arc. Her nose looked like she had some sort of scab or something weird like that on it. So I loaded it up in Photoshop and gave her the old-fashioned rhinoplasty. Figured someone somewhere could use it to make a wallpaper or something.
    Here's a download link; it's in PSD format so you can modify it easier.

    Just sharing my current project since it might interest you guys and gals; an open-source C++ VN engine and a port of Snow Sakura to go with it! 
    It's not going to be the world's best VN engine, but it's completely open-source so anyone can contribute/modify it as they see fit!

    As everyone has been saying, that image is just not wallpaper-friendly (unless it's a phone).

    I actually have already played Canvas 2 and I kind of liked it but I didn't follow a guide so I got a bad ending; kinda spoiled it. Going to use a guide this time though
     
    While this is absolutely true, I am actually mainly making this project as a learning exercise in multi-platform deployment capabilities and engine development/organisation, as well as an experiment into finite state machine driven UI programming  I just happen to also be a firm believer that everything should be open-source which is why I share my work on Github!
    With regards to benefits of this engine over others? Not many; one large component is keeping it lightweight in terms of file size (using WebP instead of uncompressed 32-bit BMP), code complexity (the main game loop is approximately 20 lines long; the rest is handled by the engine) and being easily modifiable. While that last point is not the case at the moment due to lack of code comments/documentation, I will be providing industry-standard Doxygen comments in the final version. 
    I suppose another benefit to this engine is the small-to-non-existent gap between author and programmer; the scripting language is extremely lightweight and easy to pick up on

    The word Sakura is ruined for me now. I legit thought you were porting a Winged Cloud Sakura game for some reason and was going to put up a stupid "I never ask for this" meme. Anyway, good luck with your project! Getting some of these VNs to run better for everyone is never a bad thing
