One is about Marimo's backstory, back when she was in training, and the other is about one of Captain Izumi's sisters, who was in the battle of Sadogashima and has a pretty bad case of PTSD. Basically, it's what would happen to a regular eishi (aka not Takeru and his epic meltdown) if they survived a very close call with the BETA.

Are you planning on playing the whole trilogy in one go? Then MLE. After all, Never7 is the weakest of the infinity series, even though it's still good, and certainly better than MLE. But what you get after MLE will be more than worth it.

It's not 18+ (in fact, they're very lighthearted) but the Galaxy Angel series have a decent real time strategy section.

I'd say it's worth it, but Mangagamer is currently retranslating higurashi. Might be worth it to wait for it, and read something else meanwhile.

No, Malkavian is the best. They got great unique dialogue, which is not only funny but also cleverly foreshadows a lot of stuff, and some other things, like hilarious hallucinations.

Sharin no Kuni, YU-NO or Kara no Shoujo.

This. 999 is the "spiritual sequel" to the infinity series (Never7/Ever17/Remember11, all recommended, though Never7 is the worst of 'em), but made more "accessible" to the general public (that is, less moe stuff, no slice of life, and faster pacing, among other things)
 
Other recommendations? Muv Luv Alternative is the obvious one (though you need to play Muv Luv first), YU-NO (seriously, it's good), Sharin no Kuni and G-Senjou are pretty good, too. I'm actually playing Tears to Tiara now, but I'm only 3 hours in, so it's kinda early to say if it's good or not.

That's true it is a broad term but i just wanted to make it clear that what i meant by spending the funds wisely is not spending them on h-content focused VNs (like Rape Assault: Violent Semen Inferno) but on VNs that have some story, even if they have h-scenes like Kono Oozora or Shuffle. If they do this then i'm 100% okay with it.
