  1. Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom if you have a PSP or Vita, Memories of the Shinsengumi if you have a 3DS or 2DS, or if you have a PS3 and don't mind waiting 4 months, there's Stories of the Shinsengumi which will also have the Hakuoki fandisk story content. 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors Tsukihime Fate/Stay Night
  2. Came across this new kickstarter for a giant robot VN game and it looks really interesting: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1500482054/sunrider?ref=category Though I must say I've never heard of the guy making it or his works. Anyone here familiar with either?
  3. I've actually started playing Da Capo II PC...unfortunately the first of the new routes I decided to play (mainly just to get it out of the way) was Erika's
  4. If that rumor of a Heaven's Feel adaptation is true then I wouldn't mind seeing an adaptation of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia afterwards. BTW, since I've only experienced one route of it does anyone know if Kagome's route in comyu would be adaptable?
  5. As someone just literate enough to play imports I need to ask would the other two games be difficult to read untranslated? I can play and enjoy games like the Majikoi series, the classic Black Cyc games, and Waffle's Kyonyuu series since I don't find them that hard to read though I do occassionally have to consult a dictionary for some words and can get stumped by characters with unique/weird speech patterns. On the other hand a game where the writer is really wordy like Comyu I have no choice but to wait on the english translation since in that case I don't think I was even a quarter way through Benio's route before I rage quit after having to stop and consult my dictionary every time (this was before Ixrec's translation).
  6. A translation patch for Ikikoi has been released, in case anyone needs to know: http://tsukiatte.wordpress.com/2013/11/24/ikikoi-release/ Edit: Whoops, noticed there's kind of a notice for it in the torrent section. Sorry
  7. Alot of what the OP listed applies to me too (will say that I'm not as averse to nukige, especially the rare gems you come across like the Kyonyuu Fantasy series) though I admit one reason I got into visual novels is because the route idea reminded me of the choose your own adventure books (the main series I read/played was Endless Quest and Lone Wolf) that I read/played alot of as a kid (and still do) so to me VNs are also kind of like an evolved cousin to those books I enjoyed.
  8. It would probably be best to do Agave after Miyako. Though concerning the side heroine's routes, I completed Chika's a couple weeks ago and I have to say that one was alot better than expected storywise. More stuff happened in that than Umeko's, so maybe you should do that one next if and when you translate the side routes.
  9. Just completed Michiru's route and it was good though it certainly had its weird moments. Liked how it ended and I am curious to see how things go from there in the after story in Meikyuu. Now on to Sachi's route...
  10. Just finished Yumiko route for Grisaia no Kajitsu and was surprised at how much I ended up enjoying it. If this (according to alot of folks on vndb) is supposed to be the weakest route, then I'm really curious as to how much better the other routes are going to get.
  11. Next week's Dual Destinies DLC is on my to buy list: http://www.blisteredthumbs.net/2013/11/ace-attorney-dual-destines-dlc-episode-dated-for-western-release/
  12. The Phoenix Wright games 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors Zero Escape Hakuoki Demon of the Fleeting Blossom Fate/Stay Night
  13. Not sure if anyone else here watches the online video series Extra Credits, but for their (belated) Halloween video they talk about several obscure horror games and Saya's game is among them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFM9MoqQb3M It's at 5:38 if you just want to skip ahead, but I must say some of the games sound interesting enough to hear about.
  14. Mainly been playing Grisaia no Kajitsu and it really is surprising how laugh out loud funny it is. Kind of dreading the end of the common route since I'm guessing that's where the funny stuff is going to end
  15. Still awaiting the arrival of my copy of Kyonyuu Fantasy Gaiden 2. If only I had the money to afford faster shipping
  16. That's actually very similar to what alot of rational thinkers said after Mass Effect 3 came out
  17. While I admit things got out of control in terms of people's reactions, it wasn't just the ero scene removal people were upset about. From what I hear story segments were also cut and MN went so far as to cut kissing scenes; bit of an odd choice to do to a romance story.
  18. I'd definitely reccomend Kyonyuu Fantasy (and feel free to check out the rest of the series if you end up liking this): http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/import-games-for-adults-kyonyuu-fantasy.html Another good one for beginners to importing eroge is Magical Witch Academy: http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/import-games-for-adults-magical-witch.html
  19. Da Capo 2's good if you don't mind something light on the supernatural. http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/games-for-adults-da-capo-2.html Edelweiss is good though you're going to have to endure the first two hours or so: http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/games-for-adults-edelweiss.html If you want something with action then look no further than Demonbane: http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2012/10/games-for-adults-deus-machina-demonbane.html If you have a PSP, Vita, or 3DS then I reccomend Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom/Memories of the Shinsengumi: http://www.blisteredthumbs.net/2012/05/hakuoki-community-review/ Though if you have a PS3 then I reccomend waiting for the upcoming PS3 port's localization which contains not just the main game, but also the fandisk: http://www.aksysgames.com/2013/10/22/stories-of-shinsengumi-brings-new-life-to-hakuoki-series/ http://hakuoki.com/stories/LP/ While no release date has been officially announced, I've heard it's supposed to come out in April next year
  20. For my final review for this year's Halloween, here's a review of Saya no Uta: http://gamesforadultsandeveryone.blogspot.com/2013/10/games-for-adults-halloween-saya-no-uta.html
