  1. Your intro was probably the best one I've read in a while. It made me laugh quite a lot. Welcome, nice to meet you! Always good to sew new people around here. See you in the forums and have a nice day!
  2. Just saw some of your posts. You seem to arrive pretty late at the things you want to apply. Be sure to check when was the last message sent, things might've changed
  3. Welcome. Always very nice to see people excited to help in Fan Translations. They're honestly a great experience and I hope you find a project to work on soon. Maybe you even end up joining my team, who knows? (I've seen you applied for editor in the Fan Translation skills registrators, good move.) Anyways, see you around the forums and have a nice day.
  4. Unedited interface of the trial. Hello guys. I'm back from my short vacation so I'll continue to post the progress weekly as always. Hasa's latest update was because I went MIA for a week, so yeah, sorry about that. Team matters are going extremely well, I hope things keep being the same as they have been for the last weeks. Progress this week has boomed due to several lines of a number of scripts being repeated, which made their "translation" fairly easy and fast. The editing in the prologue has been finished and the proofreading as well as the TLC are almost finished (When I say editing, I include TLC'ed lines too.). I'll be probably posting a very big announcement regarding our team plans fairly soon. We've gathered enough man power to be able to host 2 projects at the same time. The second project has been decided, and it will involve our team taking over a project that has already been started. I will not tell what game/project it is until the preparations are done, but what I can say is that it has been up for several years if I'm not mistaken and that is currently stalled. If everything goes well and negotiations go smoothly then I'll present our secondary team for the project as well as giving a huge breakdown talking about what will you expect of us when we take over said project. About the prologue patch, the only things left to do are: 1. Translating the interface and inserting the new images. (Currently in progress.) 2. Beta testing/QC. We'll release the patch for both the full game and the trial (although I recommend the latter for this one). I'll post it here, in the project thread and in the website, but if by some chance you're interested in applying for the position for Beta Testing of the patch then either post a comment in the website or PM me through here. The job is fairly simple: play our prologue patch and give us feedback about the quality of the translation/editing, both good and bad aspects as well as some advice about which areas should we improve. I'll open 2 slots for Beta Testing. By the way, the reviews have to be somewhat complex, I'm not looking for something simple like "It has good/bad English, I approve/disapprove". They will sort of be QC's but not fully. Other than that I'll post the progress. DISCLAIMER: Do not expect this speed for normal weeks, this one has happened to be rather special. Translation: 6866 (17,0762%) - PROLOGUE FINISHED Edit: 4296 (10,6844%) - PROLOGUE FINISHED Proofreading: FIRST PASS OF THE PROLOGUE FINISHED (20/20 scripts)
  5. Welcome! Seeing people motivated to help the community as much as they can always pumps me up. I'll definitely be following your content in youtube.

  8. Welcome to Fuwa! Its always great to see new people around here and see the community grow.By the way, Charlotte is one of the best in Infinte Stratos but I definitely have Lingyin as my fav girl. Anyways, see you around.
  9. Yeah, this looks like a VN adaptation of the original work called "La posadera" in Spanish pretty much, I'll still give it a try though, the art looks very cool.
  10. Hello guys. Fourth weekly update. This'll be a short one compared to the others. Basically the progress has been steady this whole week and things are progressing nicely. If you haven't seen our plans for the prologue patch in our project thread I'll just copy-paste what I wrote there here: "We decided to release a patch of the first 4298 lines of the game, which is essentially the real prologue of the game (until the OP pops up). Qoobrand released two trial versions. The first of those trials covers exactly that amount of lines until the OP, so we'll release the patch among with the trial version (which is completely free, we will set up a download button in our website for it) so you guys can experience what would be essentially a piece of the final work and what should you expect of our complete patch. Expect also the game's interface translated too." The prologue is almost completely translated (It'll probably be finished this week, no promises though) and I've resumed editing again since I'm on summer vacation now (yay). Fred has also started editing on his side. We have very similar writing styles and I do think our difference won't be noticeable. Darbury has started proofreading on his end and TLC is progressing nicely as well. We'll start looking for QC's once the prologue has been completely polished by both the Editors and the Proofreader. Anyways, that's everything I can say on my end. Have a nice day everybody. Progress TL: From 7% to 11% - (4303/40394) Edit: From 3% to 5% - (2039/40394) Proofread Prologue Scripts: (6/20)
  11. Don't know what's up with the Ixrec team, could you tell me why do they have that reputation? Could you also link the new artstyle? Never knew there were new sprites for it or something like that.
  12. (This post contains spoilers if you haven't played the game, so please don't read it if you're planning to try the game.) A Profile is probably the most boring VN I've ever get to play. First of all the protagonist and the set up of the game is pretty weird. Basically, it's a school full of weirdos and unwanted people, I could get the explanation of "because the school is in a conflictove area", but that's not the case, at least that was my impression when I played, because one of the heroines is an Ojou-sama, and the scene where the story develops seemed to me like a very standard neighborhood. The common route is boring and repetitive. Constantly reminding us that the protagonist was a troublemaker in the past but now wants to "reform" or something like that, and the slice of life scenes were bad as hell, while I do try to get the approach the game wants the player to have regarding getting closer to the game's characters I don't think it it accomplishes it very well. I'll rank the three heroines from less boring to a "want to kill myself while playing the game" level of boringness: Rizu (less boring)<Miou<Miku (dear god) Rizu: sister of the protagonist. Her wake up scenes made me want to just skip her entire route, because I swear that I spent almost 45 minutes just passing text talking about how the protagonist is trying to wake her up and she doesn't want to. She feared her brother's attitude when he hanged out with his old friends and was a delinquent, that's what forced Masayuki to change, but in the totality of her route I found her annoying and acting like the description of her says: "Like a spoiled brat" (If the game intended the player to find her character annoying then it was a very well done deed.) Last but not least, the trigger to her H-scene was pretty bad imo, suddenly she likes her brother so much that she wants him to sleep with her without any build up. Miou: Masayuki’s childhood friend. She’s a "bright character" that just likes to be together with Masayuki and Kaine. She considers hemself as a normal girl. But what does the game or the one who wrote the game consider normal? The main problem regarding her route is the focus that is given. The constant question of : is she prostituting herself or is it just a rumor about her? (Although the story makes it pretty obvious.) Then, the constant back and forth about how does she like the protagonist but at the same time she wants to stay away from him as much as possible and wants to hurt Rizu as much as she can because she was the reason Masayuki changed from a delinquent to a decent student. What a retarded reason, although knowing Rizu's personality I wouldn't mind helping Miou in her deed, lmao. Miku: I swear to god this was by far the most boring route I've ever read in my entire VN experience. No other route can make me want to jump from a window other than this one. First of all, the fact the she is portrayed as an Ojou-sama but she's in a school known because of their badly behaved students makes no sense whatsoever, I could get the reason of proximity regarding her house in the story, but still, weird. She has a cold personality throughout the entire game, except when she shows her true intentions to Masayuki. The reason she's concerned about him is because he stopped running competitively because he had physical restraints that didn't let him keep up. Again, another retarded reason to be concerned, and after reading that I realized that I had read several hours her route waiting for something more interesting, a deeper backstory. In the end, all that I got in the end was a stupid backstory and a tasteless heroine. Summing up, boring story, tedious and boring routes and stupid reasons to do things. I know, it's a game and it's fictional, but man... Apart from that, I thank Amaterasu translations for translating the game, because although I don't like it I know there are lots of people who do, and after all a fan translated game will always be something good for the community so everyone can enjoy more VN's in general.
  13. Hello! Always nice seeing new faces around here. If you're interested in non-otome games I'd recommend Kara no Shoujo, although it's maybe too dark for you, but you should at least check it out. Anyways, hope I see you around here more.
  14. Hello, always good seeing new people here. See ya around.
  15. Thanks for the info! It seems that buying the game outside of Japan at a reasonable price is not very easy. I actually knew there was a downloadable version, which costs around 35 bucks, but sadly it can't be bought outside of Japan. I do want to promote the game legally, but if the game costs around 100 bucks people won't be that happy about it and will resort to other means to get the game, which is very sad indeed. I'll try to find a solution, but I don't think there's much to be done about the issue. Anyways, thanks for the help and have a nice day!
  16. Ren \/ Hello guys! Third weekly update. Things are progressing smoothly and everything's going accord to plan for now. Recruiting is going well, we managed to fill the position for the proofreader (might open another position for it in the future, but not for now) and a new translator came aboard, making the total of five for now. Welcome @Darbury (Proofreader) and @frogstat (translator) and thank you for joining us! Okay, so since several people have asked me this already I'll do a short Q&A answering the questions that some concerned people might ask. Q- You guys have 5 translators for one game, isn't that going to mess up the quality/style of writing in the end? A- Not really. Since we only have 1 Editor (a.k.a me) all of the different styles that the translators possess will have to pass through me, unifying the style in the end and making it readable and fluid. We do care a lot about the player experience regarding that aspect. Q- Why do you have an open slot for a new Editor since you're constantly saying that you're the only one? Wouldn't two Editors mess up the writing style? A- This one is a toughie. First of all, I'm not just the Editor. I take care about everything that happens outside of the team as well as Editing (Recruiting mostly) in order to ease everyone's work inside as much as possible, since I want them to focus to their positions only. Having another Editor helping me would lift a heavy weight from my back. About the writing style, I am a very selective person when it comes to English, so when an Editor gets recruited we'll both make sure to keep everything as smooth and continuous as possible so the player either doesn't notice or barely notices our styles. Anyways, the progress: TL: 5% to 7% (2965/40394) Edit: 3% (1180/40394) Due to school and homework issues @frogstat will start translating next week by thursday. Almost all of the scripts belonging to the first part of the prologue (before the game OP pops up) are finished. I'm still trying to figure out a way to promote the game legally without having to spend 100 bucks in Amazon, so if you somehow find a legal way to buy the game cheaper please let me know. This is all for this weekend. Have a nice day and see you soon I guess. (By the way, there has been no edit progress whatsoever because I've been very busy with life in general and team recruitment.)
  17. Always glad to hear good news. Keep up the good work.
  18. Just wanted to say congrats on your 500 post. Keep being awesome I actually find your Fan Translation Blogs very useful, keep it up!
  19. Welcome. It's always nice to see new people around here. Hope I see you around the forums
  20. If there's still room in the group could you guys add me? My username is virtetz.
  21. Yeah, you can see from miles away that you people are by far more experienced than I am regarding this position. I'll do my best and will try to not dissapoint you by bringing a poor quality edit. By the way, I'm taking notes, reading these comments really opened my eyes in many ways. I've still got a lot to learn, that's for sure. Thank you guys.
  22. (Yes, the text still has to be edited in this one.) Hello guys. Second weekly update of the Majo Koi Nikki TL Project, and I gotta say that things are going pretty well. After passing his test, we've recruited our fourth translator, he'll take care of the h scenes in the game. Thank you @hahiru for joining our ranks! A new website has been done until the old one is restored in order to post the updates there, as well as the overall progress of the project, the members and future plans as well as a way to contact us in case you don't want to do it via Fuwa, https://lunatranslationstestsite.wordpress.com/. We've joined forces with the Musumaker translation team! Once we're done with Majo Koi we'll start working on the Musumaker project (ETA about that game will be about 10 months or less, but nothing is set on stone). About the prologue patch, after reading the discussion that arised on the poll thread I made it has been decided to reduce the font size from 28pt to 24pt (what you can see in the image is a 24pt font size), and for the rest of the phrases that don't fit a thorough double check will be made, because the first 200 lines are probably the ones I skipped the most (and I'm deeply sorry). We still don't know if the interface will be included in the patch, but we will try to at least patch the basic interface to be able to at least know the buttons of "System" and "Play" without having to guess them. Anyways, here's the reason everybody has clicked this post, the progress after a week; TL: From 1,9% to 5% (1968/40394)Edit: From 1% to 3% (1125/40394) As you can see, we passed from approximately around 350 lines per week to around 1200 lines translated per week. A very impressive progress if you ask me. As always I'll be releasing a video by the end of the week and if I can I'll be setting up a Facebook page and a Twitter account in case you're interested in hearing news daily instead of weekly. Anyways, that's all for this week. Have a nice weekend and until the next update.
  23. Hello, always nice to see new people here. See ya around.
  24. Great tips, even though its basic stuff like Arc said its the most essential part of a project. Keep it up like that and I hope you keep being awesome and translating vn's to spread the love. Congratulations for your finished translation.
