  1. I'd really like some recommendations of underworld VN's with an underworld theme, you know mafia, yakuza etc. Only english translated ones please, either official or not is fine though. I've already completed G-Senjou No Maou
  2. Hi i'm looking for manga that has a romance element, preferably something that ends at least a bit conclusive, but i don't really want slice of life, i want it with some fantasy or action or sci fi, anything works: Here are some examples of what i read and liked: Rosario+Vampire Superior sun ken rock The main thing i do want though is for it to be completed. No ongoing, i'm already at my wits end with Toaru and The legend of legendary heroes.
  3. I'm sorry if this has been asked, but which should i go first Touko or Akane ? I seen in the walkthrough that Touko's route get spoiled by others, does that mean that to not getting it spoiled i should do Touko before Akane ? Also which routes spoil her ? I might be interested in Yves to...
  4. Well of course i want it to focus on the heroine, but getting to know or be accepted by her family is a plus for me :p. I did finish G Senjou No Maou though. Basically i really like strong or agresive female characters, be it willed, or good fighters, etc.
  5. I tried Chrono Clock, but i gotta say it was a bit disappointing, you didn't even remotely get to interact with her family, also off topic but the translation, or better said the adaptation in Chrono Clock is horrible, it is sort of on point with what the character words, but the use of curse words and other slang when it has nothing to do with what the character is saying ruins the mood and feels out of place (its time like this i'm grateful i understand a bit of japanese from the dialogue)... I guess that regarding the Yakuza request nothing will get close to Maya's route in Noble Works... I guess i'll try Ayakashibito then (after i got with the sister route in chrono clock that is).
  6. I'm really enjoying Maya's route from Noble Works, are there any similar things in other english translated VN's ? Even if it isn't quite the daughter of Yakuza but some military hot shot, or similar situation.
  7. Sorry if this as been posted but: I'm so super duper hyped i can't wait to watch this i loved absolutely everything in that trailer, hell i'm even naming my new build (which i'm making now) Shuvi XD:
  8. I absolutely loved tales of berseria, I haven't enjoyed a jrpg so much in years, or better said since i played The Legend of Dragoon. In fact it became my favorite jrpg. It won me over since the first trailer and i preordered as soon as it was possible on pc. I only preordered 2 times in my life to be honest and this was well worth it.
  9. Thanka, maybe i over complicated things to sum it up i wasjust looking for an app for reading manga and light novels on Android, and thought it would be nice if even after closing it would remember the last page read. Going to give mangarock a try though.
  10. Hi is there an app similar to covers on the windows store on Android? I really lked the overall feel and functionality of it, or at least something that rememers the last page read, including pdf novels.
  11. Had a few giggles reading that :p. Cool those actually got my attention thanks.
  12. Hi, sorry for popping out again but i think i figured out what i wanted, i would like some recommendations of english translated novels (fan or official either is fine) with warrior, soldier or mercenarie heroines. What i already went through that fit the bill: -ChunShiGura 46+1 -Koihime -Majikoi -Muv-Luv Alternative
  13. Hi all thanks for the warm receptions, currently going through Dracu-Riot as i said, but i do seem to enjoy things with female warrior, soldier, mercenary settings it seems. (i went through koihime musou as well)
  14. lol, to bad this isn't also available on mangagamer, seeing your comment i'm guessing there can be lots of lolz from the h content of this game. Well keeping fingers crossed that one day i might be able to play the second one as well :p.
  15. I just finished ChunShigura 46+1 and I will be honest here, i started it out on a whim, well more like the reason i started it was to confirm it wasn't worth my time and drop it, i heard it was censored, had missing scenes, and the translation was horrible, but since i was looking for a specific theme, which this seem to have like i said i decided to at least try it out before down right dismissing it, i also just expected blant fanservice with no substance, turns out i was wrong. Right from the start it did not impress me, but after a certain incident in the corridor of pines (which happens quite quickly in the novel so its not long till it picks up)... god damn i could not let go of it, i was glued to my seat till i finally finished it last night. It does have fan service, a ridiculous amount of it, the outfits are definitely flashy and it twists some things in order to make it work to have flashy samurai girls, but despite this, while sugar coated, i admit, it does give an interesting view of a samurai's struggle, and what it meant to be a samurai, also at how there society worked during that time, in that regard its pretty awesome, the characters and story is also pretty freaking awesome, especially Oishiki Kuranosuke, i absolutely loved her! Its not perfect, it does have its issues, but the translation does a decent job of keeping you immersed, even if it has some mistakes in it that makes you face palm. But in the end it was an amazing experience and it became one of my favorite visual novels, i just hope they will bring the sequel to the west as well. Just one thing i don't understand about chapter 5: PS: i said a lot of things like blant fan service and such, but don't get me wrong, i don't have nothing against it, quite the opposite i welcome it, but its just that fan service alone doesn't make an experience good for me.
  16. Well... where to start, i always where attracted to watching anime but my passion for visual novels started a lot later, my main passion was anime, i couldn't really get into manga or light novels at first, and since many visual novels aren't really animated i didn't care much for them either. All that change after the launch of Katawa Shoujo though, since it was such a debated title i took a look at it to see what's all the commotion about, and it absolutely won me over and pulled me in to the wonderful world of visual novels, to the point of visual novels being my favorite past time activity, but since unfortunately i do not know japanese i'm limited to the ones that have translated english text. My favorites are: Majikoi (all of them) Muv-Luv ( Extra/Unlimited and Alternative) G Senjou no Maou and a new one that has just joined the favorites, ChunShigura 46+1 Anyway since i made a few recommendation threads i took a liking to the community and will like to see if i can fit in. PS: now i'm trying out Dracu-Riot.
  17. Its really hard to describe it when your asking like that... I'd guess females with a strong sense of either duty, or a bit of maturity, dunno it feels easier to name characters... So you can do villain routes as well ? That actually sounds quite interesting as well.
  18. Well by strong, i pretty much consider something like Crusch from Re:Zero; Velvet from Tales of Berseria; Momoyo, Margit, Ageha, Benkei, from Majikoi; Meiya, Yuuhi from Muv-Luv; I know not all are from visual novel, but i wanted to give a better description of what i consider strong females.
  19. ^Thanks, she does sound quite interesting, i might start with it. Also thank you all for their other recommendations, sorry i didn't figured out from the start what i actually wanted, they are however dully noted for when fantasy will be a primary need.
  20. You make it sound like there might be an equivalent of her in another setting, if you know of a char similar to her in a translated VN i'm more then happy to to play it, basically first and foremost i love strong female characters! Well except Muv-Luv or Majikoi i already went through those series :p.
  21. Edit: After thinking it better what i want is a strong female heroine translated VN Bonus points if she's similar to Crusch from Re:Zero. I've already went through Majikoi and Muv-Luv. Original Post: I recently watched Re:Zero and i really loved Crusch's character, i don't expect to find an equivalent for her or RE:Zero, but i would like to play a text translated VN (official or not) set in a fantasy/medieval theme... What i have finished with a Fantasy theme is Kamidori and Koihime Musou.
  22. Thanks all, but i should have probably specified this, the thing is that i'm interested in the bg cg's to use them as personal wallpapers, its more about good looking bg's then the novel, i also can't read japanese, that said i did see quite a few which picked my interest with English translations, so i will definitely check those out, and i also see a few with some nice potential when it comes to bg CG. PS: its also fine if its lower res, thanks to waifu 2x :p. PS: i'll make sure to dish out the rest of the likes once 24 hours have passed :p.
  23. Hi, i know this seems weird, but i want recommendations for novels that contain background cg's that are either winter themed or Xmas themed, as in BG cg's without characters. Currently what i have is Yuki Koi Melt.
