  1. Are you running your computer with Japan system locale? Yes Game Name: Rewrite Description of Problem: After finally getting the game to run, I start and as soon as the opening narration during the prologue ends, and the screen shifts to a black screen, probably for transition, the game stays in the black screen. I click. I try holding ctrl, nothing seems to get it passed the black screen. Your Operating System: I can't remember What did you already try? I have uninstalled the game and downloaded the newest v3 version of the game and tried running as admin. Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yes Edit: Fixed it. Turns out it was an opening movie problem, I found an answer here: https://forums.fuwanovel.net/index.php?/topic/3588-rewrite-no-videos-solved/?hl=black#entry71156
  2. Man, really wish I could read untranslated Japanese VN. How much of a time sink is it to learn how to read Japanese? And consequently translate it into English?
  3. Extra was super cliched. Of course, it's super cliched so as to make the contrast between it and Unlimited/Alternative even more distinct. And while you only need to finish Meiya and Sumika's routes, I played all of them. I think doing that makes experiencing Unlimited/Alternative that much deeper.
  4. I've never actually heard anything about Kagetsu Tohya's H-scenes. How bad are they?
  5. I actually lost steam playing Hoshizora no Memoria right after I just started Yume's route. Now that I have a completely new Laptop, I really don't feel like going through the rest of the novel again. Really didn't like Isuzu's or the sister route. I was also disappointed by how short Kosame's route was, at the time she was my favorite heroine in the novel. Moving on, I really wanted to read Rewrite, but it never works on my Laptop. Also, how is Kono Aozora ni ni Tsubasa o Hirogete? I heard less than stellar things about how they did the translation.
  6. Kamidori is a good game, just not if you're looking for an epic plot or romance. The characters are okay, if not steroptypical, there are plenty of H-scenes if you're into that, and the difficulty isn't too bad. All in all, it's light and easy-going game for the most part. Also on the topic of Grisaia, I loved the Commmon Route, but when the character routes started and all those twists come out like, It just made me lose interest. Sure, the game doesn't hide that the girls are in the school becasue they can't really be in normal society, but still, geez.
  7. Definitely agree with you, they were my favorites out of the Valkyries. Still, at least Haruko has Haruko Maniax, right?
  8. Just finished the prologue. You guys are doing an awesome job so far. Wish you the best of luck for finishing this project. My only dislike so far is that Seiichi seems like he's going to be one of those protagonists whose only contribution to fights is to become a glorified plot device so the heroine can pull off an 'amazing' come from behind win.
  9. Yeah, if you want to do the higher level difficulty and you'll have to, just to get the true end, the dungeon is a must. not only will you need to be a high level to beat later bosses, you also need to grind there for skills and equipment for your characters. Plus, if you don't want to waste time to grind for skills, you can buy them from the store...though you will still need to grind in the dungeons to get money.
  10. Well, having finished my first route (Yumina) I have to say the game was pretty fun. Sure, I'll need to take a bit of a long break before doing the other routes, plus the true end, but I enjoyed the game thus far. The battles are a bit tedious and that's the main reason I'll need a break between routes, especially since a good portion of the replays will be parts I've seen, and thus will skip through. This means that the next portion of the game will be a rather monotonous grind in between the new parts of each new route, which I am not looking forward to at all, but I do plan on clearing this game. I'll leave my impressions on the characters and plot for when or if I ever clear the True route.
