  1. It's supposed to be pretty good but I'd suggest that you wait a little before reading it. Hanachirasu is getting an official release (yes it is finally coming out) in February and that is going to have a revised translation so you're better off reading that instead.

  2. Quartett! FAQ

    The game doesn't remember what text I've already read/ CG's aren't saved in the gallery/ I can't unlock the final epilogue/ etc.

    Quote
Delete the UserData folder and let the game recreate it and everything should work correctly.
  3. This looks cool and it will apparently be set in the Steampunk verse but in the first century so way before any of the current steampunk games. Some characters in the series are really old and probably immortal so I guess they might appear in some form or at least be referenced. M for example seems to have been roaming the human world quite some time f though maybe not as long time back as that.

  4. If you want to make a voice patch you're better off waiting until Mangagamer releases the new translation of Higurashi since the engine it's using is probably going to be easier to work with, and if it isn't you're going to have to redo all your work again anyway unless you only want the version with the worse translation to be voiced.

You should probably also wait until the new ps3 port is out (Higurashi no naku Koro ni Sui) since Matsuri isn't entirerly compatible with the pc version of Higurashi. It is missing some scenes (or at least one) from the first three arcs since they were selected depending on your choices in a common route instead of being separate. Sui is however is going to have a scenario menu so it will have all voices it should have. Matsuri also doesn't have Matsuribayashi at all and has another final arc instead. And while Kizuna (ds) has Matsuribayashi none of the ds games are fully voiced. But with Sui we'll finally have full voices for Matsuribayashi.

  5. I'll be backing it for that precise reason. I've already played Grisaia no Kajitsu. I've no reason not to buy the all-ages version.

As for the other two... Those aren't censored, right? It'd be really strange if they were and as far as I know, there isn't any censored version officially available in the first place.

There are VITA versions available for all the three Grisaia games (though I'm not sure if Rakuen is out yet) I don't know if they change anything though (other than the H-scenes of course).

  6. I'm probably getting the all age version because while there are some stuff censored (other than h-scenes which I don't care about) the vita ver has extra cg:s and new music and not all the cg:s are replacements for the H-scenes. And considering that FrontWing wants to keep both versions separate I find it unlikely that the 18+ version we're getting is going to be a complete version with content from both. I'll probably not pledge anything until January though.

  7. I cast thunderbolts, not hadoukens.  I hope everything is working fine though.

There were no problems with your pre-patched copy from what I could see so it should work fine. I just deleted the cbsave before uploading since pre-created global saves are very likely to cause problems (the main cause of the issues with some of our older torrents are that they include pre-created global saves). A new one will be created when you run the game for the first time.

  8. So what race/class are you going with for your first playthrough?

I know I'll play a  mage but I haven't yet decided on the race. I'll go with either an Elf or a Qunari Inquisitor, but I'm not sure which yet. Leaning a bit more towards Qunari since we've never been able to play them before but playing a Dalish Mage also seems cool.

  9. I buy most of my Visual Novels nowadays. Though the last two titles I read (Kikokugai and Quartett) I didn't buy because Kikokugai is going to be released by Jast someday so I'll by it then (or I'll buy the remake when my japanese gets good enough to read it) and the company that made Quartett is dead so they're not going to get any of my money anyway and it's incredibly expensive for a game of that length.

Currently I own: Umineko, Umineko Chiru, Umineko Tsubasa, Aselia the Eternal, Steins;Gate, Kanon, Air, Rewrite, Rewrite Harvest Festa, Higanbana 1, Higanbana 2 and Shikkoku no Sharnoth (also waiting for Aiyoku no Eustia to arrive).

  10. And I won't have to worry about not being able to romance any female characters.  But I also played both genders to try out different romances/choices.

Sera in DA3 is lesbian so she won't be available to male protagonists.

    Summary

On the 17th of March, there is a classical strings concert unlike any other in the world. Ninety-six young musicians, divided into twenty-four quartets perform before an audience of the world’s greatest conductors and instrumentalists. Only one group - a single quartet - is chosen form these performers. Success brings prestige beyond imagination and guaranteed entry into any orchestra on the planet. It is a once in a lifetime chance for those striving to perfect the art of music. The ultimate dream… and possibly the ultimate nightmare.

Ending Guideline / Suggested Play Order

You can play the heroines in any order you wish but I strongly recommend leaving Charlotte for last. Upon completing the three routes you'll see a final epilogue.

  12. How inferior is the PC version as opposed to the PS3 one?  Have the graphic improvements in the PS3 version mentioned in the thread ever been patched into PC?  If the PS3 version didn't exist, would the PC one still be worth recommending, and how difficult will the second one be to understand if one has played the first on PC, but hasn't touched the PS3 version in any regard?

The gameplay is completely different from the PC version. PC has realtime gameplay while the PS3 ver is turnbased.

  13. I need that background. Link plz.

I made it myself so I had to upload it first. Here!

Making it was pretty fun actually, it was someone else's scan that was in two pieces with a pretty large gap between that I had to fill in myself, which I hadn't ever done before. Though sadly since I'm a total newbie you can still see some traces of were the gap originally was if you look hard enough. If you want just the picture itself (without the black on the left) I can upload that as well.
