The problem is that marriage is a cultural institution just like monogamy is in many cultures. In most countries marriage affects inheritance and in some countries married couples are even taxed as one unit. However that marriage doesn't need to be religious, it can be civil. I guess the most efficient way to make polygamy legal is to make the law independent on marital status and keep marriage as a "tradition" for those who wants it.

Well, I can only say, they are years too late. Today anime is distributed mostly by torrents and other distributed ways. It perhaps worked back when people downloaded things through direct connect. But thanks to pirate-hunters the downloads have left those fields. The torrents will be intact, and new indexing sites will pop up, it's like gardening in a forest. And they'll probably focus on the most mainstream material, which pops up faster. And personally I don't see VN/eroge targeted at all.

Can you confirm it’s not just dropping characters previously displayed? For example: What’s displayed　　　What’s parsed 彼がそう言った。＝＞　彼がそういった。 そう言っただけ。＝＞　だけ Because this is a more serious problems, that of course can be fixed. The VN chaches characters, which will require a little modification of the .exe most often.

Well, the "weird format" comes from the standard way to write things in American English: July 16, 2012 => mm/dd/yy But that's dependent on language, and for example they use this in British English: 16 July, 2012 => dd/mm/yy However ISO 8601 states we should use yy/mm/dd. And I hope they don't use dd/yy/mm, mm/yy/dd or yy/dd/mm anywhere in the world

I've checked the settings, couldn't find them there, I thought it was grouped under a location/language setting before I realised it's in English only. Since they have time-zone support for timestamps there should be a way to configure the format.

Hi! I can't find a way to change the time format for the forums, can it be made? I'd personally prefer yy/mm/dd or any logical format. I guess you have to be American to think mm/dd/yy is logical, but that's a question about taste which I won't go into. I hope there is a way to change this, I don't request anyone to put down hours if it isn't simple to implement. Or perhaps I just haven't found the settings for it.

There are better tools than google translate if you need to know what a word or expression means. I seriously don't see any use of google translate when you get passed basic knowledge required to use a dictionary. If you use google translate for whole sentences instead of dictionary lookup on words you don't know, I wouldn't recommend you to try translating. What do you think about translating into a non-native language? It's partially because English isn't my native language I don't translate, I think you need to use the target language on a daily basis to know which expressions that "sounds less distracting"/"is more normative".

I think translators can do pretty much whatever they want with the text. However if he calls the result a translation he should strive to as much information through without obscuring the text with too much unnatural usage of the target language. Translating is not a one-to-one function, sometimes you have to widen the possible interpretation, sometimes narrow it. If you want to remove or add whole segments of text, call it a revision. I think google translate can be used, if the translation is checked against the source by someone that knows both languages. However I don't think it becomes much faster to do it this way with English to Japanese.

Hm, these gentleman expectations seem to be a part of the bigger picture of different expectations on women versus men. I guess I hold doors open when it can be done discreetly (I don't have to wait), if I'm the host at my own home or if the one I hold the door open for seems frail or hasn't got a free hand. I guess I do it for women and men in these cases, however I don't do it for youngsters acting all tough and that (personal bias). In the greater picture I'm more concerned of bigger gender differences in expectations. Like how mother's nag their unmarried daughters about family in their thirties or girlfriends complaining about their boyfriends "never taking initiative" when they themselves never take it. My conclusion is be a gentleman if you feel for it, but don't expect other's do be it. So it's not sexist to be it, but it is to expect others to be it.

I have a weakness towards imouto-types. Especially the loli or near loli ones. Aside from my primary soft-spot for imoutos and lolis, I both like the protective trait (towards tsundere/yandere, the borderland between these is quite interesting) and the heroines that always thinks of others before themselves.

I can only say it was a good title to start out reading in Japanese. It took some time but it was entertaining and rewarding, I guess it's fit for the first untranslated experience. Flyable heart really deserves a better translation.

I hope I speak for all loli-lovers here on fuwanovel when I say we don't have to struggle to keep it to 2D. 2D lolis are so much cuter. I'm not attracted to real life children.

I often skip H scenes and don't personally care that much for them in many cases. But, I expect translators to try to translate the story not cutting off the rough parts. That's called an "rendering" no matter how mild it is, it's not a translation of the original work.
