  1. Ahh, my computer crashed and I'm too late for the contest, oh well. Good luck everyone
  2. I never actually watched Sailor Moon as a child, and it's not directly related to the news of the new series, but I'm watching Sailor Moon!! Usagi is really annoying . _ . But this anime is what got me into anime and drawing (weird, when I never actually watched it). I'm halfway done with the first season. And I'll be watching the new Mushishi series :3 I had just finished watching the first one for the first time before I knew about the new season, so I was ecstatic to find out about it. I really loved the theme of the anime in general. It's a close one next to the Natsume Yuujinchou series which I finished while it was airing.
  3. Drawing... Well, I've been drawing anime since 2nd grade, and yes, that's quite some time. I think what helps the most is looking at references or artists that you look up to. Find out their style, integrate it into yours, and you eventually end up experimenting with everything that you end up with your own, unique style. Using different mediums is pretty fun, too. I've just recently gotten into watercolors last November, and wow, I feel like I it's a completely different part of art I was missing out on... And yes, I still suck at it, but it's art, so why not? (I personally have stuck to digital, pencil, and color pencil since my entire life). Of course, there's always practicing, too. It really helps if you do sketches of real-life anatomy. Oh... sketches. Sketches help a lot, and doodles. Keeps your technique fresh. But yeah, real life anatomy. Not just humans, but also on, say, animals if you're interested in drawing them, plants, trees, clothes. When you know how get the gist of how to draw the concept as it were in it's "natural" form, you can shape it in your style... if that makes sense. But first, it's best if you have a steady hand on drawing first. Always gotta know how to draw a line before you draw a square, right? By the way, I say sketches because first off, it's different when you're copying an image exactly as it appears than just sketching it. Sketching is more abstract, more lenient, more care-free, more... your style. You're not copying how another person's art looks like, or the shape of a real life object, you're making your own lines take the shape of what you perceive from it. And no, it doesn't have to look exactly like your reference either. It's art. You do not, and I repeat DO NOT have to go to some fancy-smancy art school or take art classes to get better at art. It's all practice, and there's resources all over the internet (youtube is a great one) for you to learn from, totally free of charge. Of course, there's no holding you back either, if that's what you're wanting to do, but check out what's at hand for you before you decide to go for master classes. Art school is getting wayyyy too expensive nowadays anyways.
  4. I have to agree with Clephas, music is a major factor in gameplay for me. Probably the reason why I love Kingdom Hearts so much besides the storyline is the music. Although that applies to any media (movies, animes, vns). I mean, the scenes I remember the most are the ones that have the most fitting music that just flows alongside what's happening. It sets the mood, and burns the scene into my mind... Then I have to get the soundtrack and listen to that song N amount of times to remember the feels.... Alas, I'm into RPGs, but I haven't played them in a long time. I will say that storytelling is slowly failing in the game industry, at least on the mainstream over here in the United States. It's mostly on gameplay and fulfilling the player's desire to beat the game/get the most achievements and BOOMBOOMEXPLOSIONACTIONBAM. I know more people in real life that prefer games that don't even have a storyline or barely has those elements than ones that do (That's what books are for, wuuutttt?). I think it's also on peoples changing lifestyle, how they don't have to read a lot in their everyday life (twitter, tumblr, insta, lol jk idk), nor think for all that matters (calculators, computers). It's just not seen as entertaining anymore, what when we have games like flappy bird that can entertain the masses even more... Though that's just my two cents on how people are changing. I really don't have much in mind to say because I'm behind by about 5 years now. I don't know how much games have changed since I'm playing games from before this whole shift.
  5. Seems interesting I'd like to participate as well.
  6. I'm playing Apollo Justice right now (would that be considered a vn...? Considering it's predecessors are on Fuwa now). Alas... There are so many questions I need answers to after beginning the game, but I'm only on the second turnabout. I wish there were more than just three Phoenix Wright games I liked his style. I'm hoping to play Edgeworth's game as well after finishing Apollo's.
  7. Clannad got me into visual novels. Though, I had watched Air and Kanon before (but that was when I was starting to watch anime). It was really the fact that Clannad had a really big impact on me compared to the other Key animes that I wanted to play the visual novel, which I found out about after seeing all the CGs on google images *lewl*. I think I got it off piratebay, too... Needless to say, I've been into visual novels since coming to fuwanovel last year (Oh, you don't know how excited I was to see a site totally devoted to VNs, and ohhh, how I could download any of them!!). Actually, it wasn't really until I found Fuwa that I began to get into VNs. I've had Clannad since 2 years ago, but when I found Fuwa it was like a door opened Q oQ)/ And I've been playing VNs more than watching animes ever since.
  8. I recently finished Wanko to Kurasou, and damn... Was that a lot of H-scenes xD I really didn't want to continue after the first few but I couldn't find it in me to not finish it. Now I'm working on finishing Kanon which I started before Wanko (but Wanko seemed more interesting which is why I finished that one first). I just finished Mai's route, and I'm thinking about going after Shiori's next. I have to admit, the end of Mai's route was kind of confusing to me that I had to read it over again. It made more sense in the anime (though it did differ), but I have a feeling that it was just a bad interpretation of everything that was happening from Japanese to English. Hoping to read Air or Katahane afterwards. I've already downloaded them and started them both out, but my main priority is Kanon (haven't finished it since the 4 months I've had it). Though it's not really a VN, I'm also working on Apollo Justice. I finished the first three of the Phoenix Wright games. I can't wait to play the Edgeworth games! > .<
  9. Justy x Nasty sounds nice, out of the rest.
