  1. Happy new year! I will not make any promise, however, I am determined to be more mature and responsible. I wasted too much time last year... I am not satisfied with myself at all. This year I hope to get high grades in college. Anyway
  2. Neko route was extremely boring, you do not necessarily need to read her route though. Well, actually only the main history was interesting and the first one (of the trilogy) is basically an introduction.
  3. Ore-tachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai Hatsuyuki Sakura Tokeijikake no LeyLine (trilogy) Subarashiki Hibi But when you say, "I just want a VN that really grabs my attention and keeps me stuck on the screen for a while" I cannot help but think SINCLIENT. This one is really interesting since the protagonist lose his memories and you will slowly gasp the situation. Well, the first four ones are a lot better though.
  4. If you want a slice of life-romance, how about Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa o Hirogete? The main theme element (Gliders) is kind of interesting too. I would rather Hoshizora no Memoria, but KonoSora feels more light-hearted. You can take a look at Nekopara since it seems literally a moege, I did not read this one though.
  5. I think that previous Chinese knowledge would be a big help for you to some extent. Well, I do not know about the Chinese language, so I cannot guarantee it. Although there are some "original" (国字) japanese kanjis, as far I know most of them are based on chinese characters.
  6. Oh, I love it! By the way, nice avatar.
  7. Welcome, Lucius. Learn japanese is not tough at all. Based on my experience, if you want to read without help of any tool (e.g. JParser to put furigana above kanjis), one~two years might be insufficient time to learn enough kanji and vocabulary. Well, it is because I did wasted time instead study kanji hard, so I think I took more time. Anyway, I do not want to desmotivate you, I think if you study kanji hard (unlike me), maybe you can do it in 2 years. If you do not care about kanji (you can even put furigana above the kanjis using tools), you should be able to read easily the majority of visual novel in 1-2 years.
  8. Thank you all. I wonder why I do not receive a moe.
  9. Why "number 8"? Kurisu is the member number 004, right?
  10. Who knows Ore-tachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai. Thank you two.
  11. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I find this a way to support the efforts to spread visual novel. Years ago I even downloaded some torrents at the older website, after all. By the way, rest in peace Fuwa torrents. Thank you!
  12. Hello there, I almost forgot to introduce myself. I'm Illusion, I have been reading visual novel for a long time. As I said at "What was your first VN and how was it?", my first visual novel was Little Busters and I turned into an avid reader. It is not my first time here on Fuwanovel, I really value your efforts to make VNs popular here in the west. I do not know what to say... I have read some light novels as well, I do not like manga though. I read mostly untranslated ones, my favourite works are plot-based, despite this I still enjoy some moeges. I apologise for my bad writing, I am not a native speaker but I hope we get along. Regards.
  13. Well, if you want a plot focused visual novel, give a try for Comyu and Cross-Channel. Ikinari Anata ni Koishiteiru is a comedy, it isn't sooo bad, but if you want plot stay away. I do not know about KoiChoko, but the anime was decent.
