Zidan209 got a reaction from Vampire Alexander in What's the difference between Muv Luv Unlimited and Muv Luv Alternative ?
Unlimited is the 2nd part of the trilogy, Alternative is the third. Unlimited is part of the first game Muv-luv, whereas Alternative is its own game and is around 2x longer than the first 2 parts together. The difference in the story is a little spoiler, so I'm not going to mention that

Steins;Gate and Clannad are arguably the only good ones. Both of them being really highly rated in both mediums (at least the After story in Clannad's case)

Zidan209 got a reaction from Rahman N in Suggest Some VNs with Tsundere Heroine who cares for MC a bit too much !
The most extreme case of tsundere from what I have read was in Fureraba. Extreme in the way that before you get to her route, she's the most hostile heroine I've ever seen (for a moege at least) and after, she's so infatuated with the MC that it was annoying to me. So if that's what you're looking for, Fureraba should be an obvious choice.

I checked all your horror songs (because i make them too ), and a bit of fantasy ones.
Well, they are definitely not bad, they are good, but most of them cannot really be called songs, just atmospheres.
    But great work

Zidan209 got a reaction from Dreamysyu in What is your least favorite type of route plot?
The type of plot where a character is ostracized in school for literally any reason. 100% of the time, this is because of rumors or some fabrications. I have never come across a story where a character gets into this scenario for a remotely valid reason, but then again - I don't think this kind of story about someone who's in fact worthy of being an outcast is all that common (because such stories generally involve clearing the character's name and putting an end to all of that).
I generally dislike this story because they always use a random side character or a group of them (this group tends to be literally all the students in school who don't have a character sprite, because why would the author want to antagonize characters that are actually relevant) for the sole purpose of being an absolute annoyance to everyone else and to the reader as well.
IMO, there is nothing interesting about a story like this, regardless of the decisions the characters make. At the end, they either forget all about it, as if nothing ever happened, or change in a random way, as if becoming a new person, which never makes sense. Most of the time, the unimportant characters that caused all of it don't get any repercussions (and that's not even a bad thing, because nobody cares about these characters).

Subarashiki Hibi and Muv-luv can hook the reader pretty well, but it kinda depends on you.
To get to the actual drama/intense story in Muv-luv, you need to wait till you get to the 3rd game Muv-Luv Alternative and the first 2 probably aren't what you're looking for, but I would say it's worth it.
As for Subahibi, your enjoyment will be based on how well you can tolerate it. The story is very interesting, but I'd probably describe it as "hard to read"

If you're looking for nakiges (crying games) then you should read Clannad.
From what I've read, there's also Symphonic rain, which can quite possibly make the reader cry, but Clannad is the "stronger" nakige

I want to eat your pancreas. Before I watched it, I thought it was going to be a very sad tearjerker. I've read a bunch of reviews of this movie on MAL and most of them suggested that it's a badly executed story with shallow characters and it completely fails as a tearjerker. So after watching it, I absolutely didn't get the impression that this movie even wanted to be a tearjerker. 90% of it had a rather happy atmosphere. I think that this movie was very much misunderstood by the audience.
Shinchou Yuusha. After reading the summary, I expected this to be just another random comedy isekai with some fanservice and that it would get boring quickly. An overpowered protagonist who only has 1 personality trait and nothing else to his character. Well, I was proven wrong really quickly. This anime was actually genius and the comedy never got boring. The way it works is rather simple. This overpowered hero is not actually the protagonist (this is made obvious by never hearing any of his internal thoughts). Instead, the protagonist was this goddess who summoned him and her interactions with the hero and her overreactions are totally golden. Her voice actor did a seriously good job. I feel a little bad for this show, because most of the audience probably couldn't realize that and therefore couldn't enjoy the show because of some biased opinions towards random isekai comedies.

Zidan209 got a reaction from Dreamysyu in Something like Toradora
A few days ago, I randomly picked up Toradora, because I just wanted to watch something and couldn't decide what (comedy is the best choice in a case like this). I ended up enjoying it way more than I expected, and I even have the feeling of emptiness right now (the kind of feeling you get after finishing something you were really into). So, after failing to choose something by myself, I decided to ask you guys around here.
To make it easier, I'm going to list some stuff that I'm looking for (or would like to avoid).
    - no harems: harems usually have the kind of comedy that's full of cringe, have uninteresting and very often annoying characters and I get tired of that very quickly, but more importantly, there's never an actual romantic relationship between the MC and ONE of the heroines
    - high school setting is good, but it's not a necessity
    - at least a minimal amount of character development
    - a good balance between comedy and drama (if it has more drama, then it's fine, but comedy should still be there)
    - low amount of (or none) fanservice: if it's not a harem, then there probably won't be much fanservice, but I just felt like I should mention this too
    - bonus points for a kiss scene
    - extra bonus points for a protagonist who is able to think for himself
Here's my MAL account, so you can see what I've already seen. My list is not very big, since I don't watch too much stuff

    Try Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu
it's a psychological horror, has good characters and story (IMO), it also has some romance, idk about crying, depends on the person, but I'd say it's definitely possible

    Zidan209 got a reaction from Plk_Lesiak in Share a weird/stupid/disturbing dream
I've once had a dream which I wasn't even a part of. Just a spectator from a third person (or bird) view.
I obviously have more weird (and more weird) dreams, but I'm kinda lazy to try and remember the details.
A few cases of sleep paralysis as well. This phenomenon can be incredibly stressing and scary, but I've kinda found a way to deal with this (and stressing/scary dreams in general). Simply said, I am able to force myself awake while I'm aware of my dream. It's kinda good that i managed to take control of my dreams at least partially. From my experience, if you remember any dream at all when you wake up in the morning, that means you were aware to an extent, and when you are aware, you can control your dreams (just have to realize it and learn how to).

I think this VN was genuinely creepy, although the source of the creepiness is probably a bit different from a regular horror story
I believe that music is the best tool to create any kind of atmosphere, and this VN does have some pretty creepy pieces in its soundtrack

Wakamoto Norio. Definitely one of my favorites too. He also voiced the Emperor in Code Geass, the general from Muv-luv Unlimited and Alternative (whose's name i can't remember).
Then there's Jun Fukuyama, because he has the most charismatic voice I've ever heard (IMO), mainly as Maou and Lelouch, but for example Lawrence from Spice and Wolf was memorable too.
Mizusawa Kei, because of all the things that were already mentioned
Miyano Mamoru, because noone else could have pulled off Kira and Hououin Kyouma as well as him

Umineko (insane soundtrack, has like 180 songs), G-senjou no maou (can't go wrong with modernized classical music), Everlasting summer (has some neat rock music and also stuff that has kinda magical feel to it), Steins;gate+Steins;gate 0 (epic main theme and also other ones that set just the right atmosphere)
