What VN's Have You Stalled On? Or Outright Dropped?

VN that i just outright dropped is Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort. After the first like 20 minutes, it was a torture for me. There's non existent plot, no character development (literaly all of them were unbearably stupid and boring). When i was like halfway in Umi's route, i just couldn't believe wtf am i even reading (talking about the really sad and disheartening incident about cleaning) I did not even finish one route. Music was repetitive, after like 10 minutes it got annoying. The only thing this VN had going was the artwork. I like Pulltop's art in VNs, but that's about it. Except of that, i never decided to read Shizune's route in Katawa Shoujo (i tried, but that student council stuff was kinda boring). And there's one VN that i stalled, and that is Kara no Shoujo, simply because i got frustrated and angry about the choice and route system. Also, i'm not sure, but i think i was spoiled about the ending anyway, so it will probably be still a long time until i get back to it. -
I'd say Sharin no Kuni. There is quite a bunch of problems you'll have to deal with, but they aren't route specific, because you kinda go through each of the heroines' stories in 1 playthrough, with some differences based on which of them you go with. Still has a school setting, but the circumstances make it more unique

There's Clannad that fits for everything, exccept of the graphical side ( I mean, it's not bad if u get used to it, but the way the characters are drawn is rather... different). It's pretty much the definition of slice of life romance set in school, and is one of the longest VNs out there, has no 18+ content, though (which shouldn't be a problem, since you didn't specify that) You could also try Maji de watashi ni koishinasai. It doesn't have that much of a deep story or anything, and is more a comedy than anything else, but it also fits your requirements. You're going to have alot of fun if you try this one.

I'd say Clannad doesn't remotely have enough choices for such a long VN as it is
