  1. ok, maybe I'll keep this in mind as a last resort
  2. I'll probably check this one out. I've seen this connected to Toradora a bunch of times, but the fact that it came out a few years later and its art somehow looks even older kinda put me off a little. I guess I'll decide after trying to watch some of the first episodes. This certainly looks interesting, so I will try it. I generally avoid animes that are adapted from a VN (a VN that I haven't read yet), because if I was interested in it at all, then I'd just go for the VN instead. And I've been a bit too lazy to read VN's lately, even though I have like a dozen of them on my wishlist, so there probably isn't an opportunity to get to Little busters anytime soon for me
  3. A few days ago, I randomly picked up Toradora, because I just wanted to watch something and couldn't decide what (comedy is the best choice in a case like this). I ended up enjoying it way more than I expected, and I even have the feeling of emptiness right now (the kind of feeling you get after finishing something you were really into). So, after failing to choose something by myself, I decided to ask you guys around here. To make it easier, I'm going to list some stuff that I'm looking for (or would like to avoid). - no harems: harems usually have the kind of comedy that's full of cringe, have uninteresting and very often annoying characters and I get tired of that very quickly, but more importantly, there's never an actual romantic relationship between the MC and ONE of the heroines - high school setting is good, but it's not a necessity - at least a minimal amount of character development - a good balance between comedy and drama (if it has more drama, then it's fine, but comedy should still be there) - low amount of (or none) fanservice: if it's not a harem, then there probably won't be much fanservice, but I just felt like I should mention this too - bonus points for a kiss scene - extra bonus points for a protagonist who is able to think for himself Here's my MAL account, so you can see what I've already seen. My list is not very big, since I don't watch too much stuff https://myanimelist.net/animelist/Br41n
  4. Try Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu it's a psychological horror, has good characters and story (IMO), it also has some romance, idk about crying, depends on the person, but I'd say it's definitely possible
  5. Been waiting for 2nd season of Re;Zero and 3rd for Oregairu for sooo long. Definitely looking forward to that
  6. My favorite couple is from Umineko, but there is nothing safe to say about Umineko, so the people who've read it probably know.
  7. I've once had a dream which I wasn't even a part of. Just a spectator from a third person (or bird) view. I obviously have more weird (and more weird) dreams, but I'm kinda lazy to try and remember the details. A few cases of sleep paralysis as well. This phenomenon can be incredibly stressing and scary, but I've kinda found a way to deal with this (and stressing/scary dreams in general). Simply said, I am able to force myself awake while I'm aware of my dream. It's kinda good that i managed to take control of my dreams at least partially. From my experience, if you remember any dream at all when you wake up in the morning, that means you were aware to an extent, and when you are aware, you can control your dreams (just have to realize it and learn how to).
  8. You should try Subarashiki Hibi https://vndb.org/v3144 I think this VN was genuinely creepy, although the source of the creepiness is probably a bit different from a regular horror story I believe that music is the best tool to create any kind of atmosphere, and this VN does have some pretty creepy pieces in its soundtrack
  9. Wakamoto Norio. Definitely one of my favorites too. He also voiced the Emperor in Code Geass, the general from Muv-luv Unlimited and Alternative (whose's name i can't remember). Then there's Jun Fukuyama, because he has the most charismatic voice I've ever heard (IMO), mainly as Maou and Lelouch, but for example Lawrence from Spice and Wolf was memorable too. Mizusawa Kei, because of all the things that were already mentioned Miyano Mamoru, because noone else could have pulled off Kira and Hououin Kyouma as well as him
  10. I see your point, but this can make things less enjoyable if the reader does not like the heroine too much (telling someone to skip a route if that's the case is not quite right either). Just as a side note, isolating the characters in Majikoi in favor of one heroine would pretty much destroy the whole VN's premise
  11. I think you should check out Maji de watashi ni Koishinasai https://vndb.org/v1143 I think Fureraba kinda drags on too much after you get on a route and you are a little isolated from other characters. This thing is handled a lot better in Majikoi in my opinion, because there's a whole group of friends, so you'll be seeing all of them on most of the routes. And there's even more comedy than in Fureraba, which extends beyond the common route, so one shouldn't ever get bored while reading this VN (or not, depends on sense of humor).
  12. When the dudes in Majikoi decided to peek at the girls in hot springs, but got caught by Momoyo, who asks them to let her come too
  13. Umineko (insane soundtrack, has like 180 songs), G-senjou no maou (can't go wrong with modernized classical music), Everlasting summer (has some neat rock music and also stuff that has kinda magical feel to it), Steins;gate+Steins;gate 0 (epic main theme and also other ones that set just the right atmosphere)
  14. Anime About VN, i don't even know, probably Muv-luv's opening
  15. Confession: I have PTSD from experiencing a few nights with a mosquito around my bed - had no sleep, constant alert and nervousness As a side effect, i can now hear mosquitoes even when there are none around
  16. I've just finished the 4th episode and therefore the first Umineko game. Not going to take a break at all before continuing this behemoth as if 3 huge plotges in a row could ever take me down! As for some of my thoughts...
  17. MLA surely took me over 70 hours, but I often read deliberately slowly so i don't miss anything But for example, Fureraba had me advancing the text while barely reading half of the line during the useless narration Reading can vary, i guess
  18. It's Rance 10 https://gaming.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_longest_video_game_scripts
  19. Still on Umineko, trying to stomach episode 3's conclusion. I am just speechless at how this VN is changing so often and so suddenly.
  20. Momoyo from Majikoi. Don't remember if there were other instances of paizuri, and I've only read the first game, but Momoyo probably suits your demands
  21. After reading most of Fureraba a few months ago, i probably got a moege overdose and played Evenicle, Subahibi and the entirety of the Muv-luv trilogy before returning and finishing Himari's route that i absolutely couldn't stand. As it turns out, i still did not have enough of the "plotge" VNs and picked up Umineko a few days ago. So i just finished episode 1 and praises are the only thing i can think of when trying to describe it. Despite knowing some tidbits about the story that was unfolding prior to reading through it, it was a really great experience, and the writing was absolutely perfect at setting the atmosphere. Can't wait to move on the next episodes and find out more and more about everything.
