If I remember correctly I stopped watching it mid season 5 as it was airing and haven't really gone back to it, kind of hard to now since I barely remember anything that had happened before I stopped 

If you got here then you're already pretty far into the abyss  seeing how everyone already gave you a lot of recommendations I'll just stick to my usual murder/mystery series, instead of repeating what others said above.

Time for a very special progress update!  Read on for the 4-1:
I've seen a lot of controversy in the past and debate over whether projects should use past tense or present tense.  To be honest, neither one is an ideal solution.  There are pros and cons of both approaches.  But whoever said this was an either-or?  There are other tenses.  I have found the perfect solution - the future perfect - and am busy reworking the existing translation to the new standard.  This will necessitate a bit of additional delay (pushing us out to 2030 or so), but it will be worth it.  After all, moving the game into the future just makes it more perfect.
And doesn't everyone want a perfect translation?  I will have been proud to oblige!

I usually just use the music in the game.  The exception is when the music really does just suck, like Tsukihime...

Don't go in with high or moderate expectations, it is a nukige after all but as far as that goes it's still okay if you like the fem dom kind of thing.
It also has a mix of other things that pander to other fetishes.

Why not get a better taste instead of wasting your time with this type of characters 

You can freely talk about lolis in VNs and ask for recommendations just fine, which is what this thread does. This is not a thread to talk about the loli/shota sex and the problems whatever it has. He/she just wants recommendations and explained what he/she wanted in depth. This thread is a lot better than "Want x-genre VN k thx bye" threads that pop up sometimes.

Yeah I don't think the thread is at risk of being shut down, that being said my only recommendation would be as @Fiddle suggested playing around with the filters on VNDB. I hope you can find what you're looking for 

Man, I am already cringing . Some of you recently gave me permission to post about my projects more often, so I am going to do it. I will do everything I can to write quality content rather than just going me me me.

As advised, I have posted a blog entry on how to handle perspective shifts in VNs, using The Last Birdling as an example:
I want to use this chance to ask if anyone got examples of VNs that handle perspective shifts in unique ways (visual or word wise)? Many VNs are written in first person, which can make readers stumble during viewpoint changes. I know in An Octave Higher, the game shows the new POV character standing alone on a black background first. Mind sending me some more examples?

Between these two series I'll always pick Majikoi, not because I disliked Grisaia or anything of the sort but I just happen to love the Majikoi series as a whole and it's cast of characters. There are so many of them that I like that in order to rank them I'd have to think for a good while about it.
 
With Grisaia It's a bit easier:
