  1. If SteamSpy is accurate Sakura Spirit sold ~290K, more than Nekopara vol 1 (~250K). Although the Sakura sales are falling hard compared to Nekopara (Sakura Dungeon is ~28K, Nekopara vol 2 is ~140K). That's very telling of Nekopara's quality if it's able to move that many copies admist the glut of VNs on steam. A good chunk of Sakura Spirit's sales are due to it being released in July 2014 before the VN boom. Karakara or Corona Blossom probably would had been just as popular had they been released in that timeframe.
  2. They were AJTilley, now they're Dharker Studio. Highschool Romance was a bland "boy crossdresses to enter all-girls' school" plot with weird artwork. Divine Slice of Life squandered its own premise, had too many routes and was way too short. Beach Bounce had stupid plot, stupid characters, stupid "h-scenes", stupid artwork, stupid writing, stupid stupid, stupid everything!
  3. Thankfully I have a burner twitter account just for this purpose. They beat Dharker Studio on the VN DLC front by about a month. That's good for Dharker; it means their DLC might receive less of a backlash because WC is soaking most of it up right now. The DLC in this case is password protected, so all you need to do is find the passwords somewhere.
  4. I did a little bit of digging and they have even more VNs in development. Sakura Nova: Isolated cities use barriers to keep monsters out. Male MC is training at an academy to become a knight. Sounds like a futuristic straight Sakura Fantasy. Apparently WC is now ripping off of their own VNs. Sakura Adventure: According to /u/ its going to have a loooooot of H-yuri. Sakura Dragon: Male MC trains female dragon-girls. Sakura Demon "Sakura Maid 2" As long as the profit is good enough the Sakura train will never stop.
  5. Not surprising considering most of its competition starts with "Sakura".
  6. They also have a kickstarter going and plan on releasing ~6 VNs (and a remastered Beach Bounce) by the end of the year. I wonder how many of those six will actually be good?
  7. I think all of the Phoenix Wright is skewing my tags, just a little. Battle of Wits Courtroom Character Profiles Murder Mystery Interactive Adventure Game Mystery Drama Homicide Detective Work Crime
  8. I tried dual booting and Parallels. Eventually I just went "fuck it" and got a cheap windows tablet.
  9. Ayaka > Ritsuko > Rise > Chiho Ayaka has the combination of a good route and a good waifu. I like you Ritsuko, but damn your route has a bullshit resolution. Rise's route is pretty good, mostly due to her mom. Rise's yandere traits should have been played up more, like a milder version of Yuno. The love triangle wore out its welcome around 7/8 chapters ago. Chiho was more of a tsuntsun than tsundere.
  10. They do need to have the poll open longer; I didn't even catch it the first time it happened. I checked, the trick still works. I didn't think it would be that easy.
  11. They weren't counting Steam sales in their rankings. It looks like it did sell pretty well on their own site.
  12. I wonder how many of Evangile's sales were from affiliate links? I'm surprised Eroge! did so well considering it was released a little over two years ago, and I don't really see anybody talk about it.
