    Insecure heroine

    Thanks for the recommendations I'll be looking into all of these. Most of these characters seem to shy or antisocial and I guess you can't really avoid that since being shy and insecure seems to go hand in hand, but what I am really looking for is a character whos outgoing but only is insecure about what she looks like. (If there isn't anything like it; are there any heroines who are considered ugly by the other heroines or the main character?)

    I'm not sure how to describe this lol but I'm looking for a insecure heroine who thinks she's ugly. Like a big part of her story and personality has to be about what she thinks of her looks. Anything like it?

    The House In Fata Morgana is even better, although it's underrated and it is more horror in the implementation of its themes (extended abuse, etc.) rather than actually being scary. 

     

    I've read saya, A lot of people seem to like Fata morgana so I guess I'll give it a shot.

    SonoHanabira is indeed decently close, (yuri, an all-girls school, humor), but you won't find much of the dramatic side of Strawberry Panic, which is one of its key factors in my opinion. 

    Princess Evangile does have a lot of ojou-sama characters, humor and a generally similar setting, (a closed off all-girls school) but 1. There is quite the lack of serious drama (though there is some) and 2. It has a male protagonist who is not a trap, so unlike otoboku there is no "yuri-ish" things going on with the romance.

    There is stuff like Otome ga Irodoru Koi no Essence, (they have like, a million games in the series,) where you play as a trap protagonist in a ojou-sama school, but none of them are translated as far as I know, so if you can't read Japanese, that's a bust.

     

    It might be a little easier to narrow down some recommendatinos if you say a bit more about exactly what you liked about those shows. (Was it the drama, was it simply the ojou-sama like school setting etc?)

    Ah well I'm looking for the all girls/ojou school feel. Preferably not too much drama, I don't mind it though, I'm mostly looking for the all girls school/ojou setting. I don't really mind if it's trap or yuri or whatever. Translated or not, doesn't matter. I hope that helps at least a little?

    I've already read the sonohana series and Princess Evangile but Otoiro looks pretty good tho, so I'll check it out

    Nine Hours Nine Persons Nine Doors DS, Virtue last reward ps vita/3ds (sequel to 999), daganronpa 1/2 ps vita, corpse party games ps vita (3ds version is set to be released with some extra content), umineko no naku koro ni PC/ps3, higurashi PC, time hollow DS, Ever 17 out of infinity PC, Fate stay night PC, Tsukihime PC. Well hope this list help.

    Danganronpa's fucking great too

    The Ace Attorney series is pretty great for murder mystery, but it's a lighthearted franchise.

    Remember11-the age of infinity- is amazing as well.

    And while nowhere as good as the others in this list, Killer Queen can make for a fun read (but it's short and has quite a few flaws, lower priority than anything else on this list)

    If you want another non-horror mystery, YU-NO is great

     

    I've played the first danganronpa, and i started danganronpa 2 a while ago (and i love it) , but i will look into 999 and VLR for sure!

    YU-NO looks pretty good too, so ill check that one out
