You are asking me to be rational, that is something I know I cannot do.
I'm thinking with my lower head.

Never mind I was able to figure it out, just needed to check the installed directory again.

NowItsAngeTime reacted to Seraphim in VNDB has inconsistent standards of what's considered a Visual Novel
Determining what a visual novel is based on how the story is presented has always seemed a bit odd to me, and I don't think it should affect whether it should be considered one or not. If you ask me, story/gameplay ratio is the only thing that should matter, and going solely by that would probably make things easier, since you wouldn't have to take all these others factors into account and do in-depth analyses on every borderline title.

NowItsAngeTime got a reaction from Formlose Gestalt in Original Majikoi VN translation comparisons - fanTL vs JAST TL [common route only]
So if anyone was curious about the various translation differences between the original Majikoi VN fantranslation and JAST's official translation, I compiled a bunch of notable scenes in the common route with screenshots of the different translations.
My observation (based on my limited knowledge of Japanese and listening to the voice acting) is that the fantranslation is a bit more literal, while the JAST translation is a bit more localized. But they're both similar enough, and keep "Last Name First Name" order as well as all honorifics.

NowItsAngeTime reacted to Binary Flame in binary_flame made a Visual Novel Manager program
Dev here,
Glad you guys like it. If you want to use applocale/Locale Emulator, you will need to add the correct command line arguments in order for it to launch the game with the correct locale. You will need to use version 1.0.4 or higher, as versions below that prevented use of the same exe for multiple games. Let me know if there are any other features you would like to have.

NowItsAngeTime got a reaction from AngstyNarrator in Should I avoid games by Key?
I generally enjoy them. Sometimes it does go a bit over the top but there are genuine issues in there that are interesting.

NowItsAngeTime got a reaction from AngstyNarrator in Should I avoid games by Key?
Well I mean, KEY is popular because of its drama. But it wont be for everyone.
Might as well try Clannad, it's the most well-known KEY VN
Or try Planetarian for a very short experience to dip your toes in but will give you an idea on how the writer exectues things

NowItsAngeTime reacted to Plk_Lesiak in I hate Yuzusoft's overuse of 'heroines calling MC a pervert' "humor"
This doesn't seem that excessive TBH.
The part that generally baffles me in Japanese media is protags being called perverts for simply being attracted to a girl and expressing that in some mild manner. It makes me wonder whether it's just an anime/comedic trope or something cultural. It particularly caught my attention in Bunny Senpai anime, where the protag and the main girl were explicitly a couple. "You want to f*** your own girlfriend and reference that fact in a mostly inoffensive ways? You PERVERT".
