  1. No, Dark Souls 1. Dark Souls II isn't even a Souls game.
  2. Figured people here would get a chuckle out of this.
  3. Hey, that's just reality. It's basic consumerism. Pay 60$, get a 8 hour campaign. Maybe it's super good and your favorite, but for that same 60$, you can get a game with a decent and enjoyable campaign,. not as much, but still a good game, and it'll last you 100+ hours...basic consumerism. People will buy whatever they feel the best bang for their buck is.
  4. Mass Effect 2's DLCS are incredibly important. Many of them directly affect 3, by explaining major plot elements that are coming in it. Without playing many ME2 DLCs, you will be completely confused upon starting Mass Effect 3.
  5. Seemed like a good deal, didn't it? I got sucked into that trap a few years ago as well. To buy all the DLC for the games, which include MAJOR story DLC, it'll cost you 110$ in BioWare points. Haha. Yeah, such a great deal! To top it off, EA recently announced a remastered Trilogy with all DLC included and updated visuals / gameplay. Also, the Mako is coming back for the new Mass Effect game, as people bitched at it's removal.
  6. Steam release has awful art, I hear. No voice acting. I played one version with the PS3 Sprites + Voices last year. It was pretty good. Still, it drags. As for the anime, avoid it at all costs. Some of the worst animation ever seen in a big name adaption and like most VNs, cut alot.
  7. Symphogear on recommendation from a friend. So far, it's incredible generic. Almost should be called "Generic: The Animation", every character, plot device, and episode follows what 10 million anime have done before it. Nothing stands out so far, except for an anime about singing...how bad the singing is, I'm shocked, usually even in awful anime, you can count on good singing, this one...not so much. If this anime didn't have naked girls in pretty much every episode, I imagine no one would watch it.
  8. Eh. It lasted me about 25 hours to do all routes. Not short, but VN wise, there are many on Steam that are in the 35-45$ range that will last 50-80 hours. If this is priced the same as those, it's overpriced. It's not a new release, either.
  9. Neat. I hope it's price appropriately, 15-20$ would be fair, given how short it is.
  10. English Voice Acting never gets any better in the game. It's undub or nothing, and yeah, choices in the game really mean nothing, except for one...and if yer using a walkthrough, you'll find out eventually.
  11. The second game? I liked the first game a lot. The second games combat system was a huge downgrade.
  12. Umineko...yeah, yer far from done. 8 Episodes. 10 hours each or so.
  13. Jesus, this game crashes alot on me. 3 times. Very annoying. Google says it's when a looping sound plays and you cancel out of it before it finishes or something? Pretty obnoxious, no fix was ever released for that?
  14. It looks nice, I like the art. I just heard really good things about it, but the dialogue is already pretty cheesy. Still, alot of VNS dialogue is...but hey, I'll at least try and do a route.
  15. Nah I started on D, because all the choices were given, I figured it must not matter what route you start on, because they're all unlocked at the start...but clearly not. Thanks.
  16. Right? Everything was great...except the pacing. It all felt way to dragged out. And no, even if you paid attention(I did), there is still so much not explained at the end, it's stupid. The author was going for some kind of philosophical theme, I get that, but I hate an interesting theory and interesting characters being put before me, and then having it all fade away into some "message" about not being stubborn, as far as I can tell.
  17. So you can pick one of four routes at the start, but are they meant to be played in order? Like 1,2,3,4? Ect, or...can they be played in any order? Cause I'm like 10 minutes into the route and confused as all hell. I feel like I'm missing something. I was told this was a really good VN, but I really dislike when they start you off in what appears to be mid-story.
  18. Alright. I finished Sharnoth. I now know some of the story...but I also have a headache and most of it doesn't make sense. Loved the art, music, characters, atmosphere. But the story was so...disconnected.
  19. You know what, at first I just thought this was a random reference. But then I thought about it. Besides her name...there is her short, blonde hair. Also...she is part of a "Clan of Witches", in her backstory...to top it off, the boss fight she can help you with here...is a Butterfly. Beatrices Symbol? A Butterfly. As for the games themselves, yeah, I love em. I'm doing a new playthrough right now, so that I can play with my cousin. My actual character is SL130 and fully decked out in some serious shit. But it's also fun to be "new" again in a way. It's such a difficult game...especially after Dark Souls 3.
  20. Eh...are they really serial killer MCs? I've read both and I never got that feeling. Maybe I'm weird. Hanachirashu, maybe a little bit, but he had valid reasoning behind it. Kikokugai, he absolutely had a good reason to do it. No question. Revenge is not being a SC.
  21. I love Inganock. Amazing VN. Sharnoth...not so much, you can judge it for yourself, but I'm almost finished and I have no more idea of what is going on than I did 10 minutes in. Kinda annoying.
  22. Reached Act 10 of Sharnoth...finally, I'm almost there. IS ANYTHING EVER GOING TO BE EXPLAINED...if it isn't, this VN is trash. Like 20-25 hours of having no clue what is going on.
  23. Booted up the original Dark Souls for abit to mess around. Still a great looking game.
  24. Most games like this are fetishy, but the person who recommended the Family Project - that's a good one for sure, has a good route involving an older woman. There is this, which involves a teacher and a student, plus another older women at some parts. https://vndb.org/v157 It's basically a VN about sex, but I guess you could say some parts are cute. Besides the Family Project, I'm having a tough time thinking of it. I know YU-NO has some elements of this, but not full blown routes.
