  1. I started this VN last year and played through it until near-ish the end, I can't remember exactly, but it was a struggle, even using a Walkthrough. At a certain point though, I just got so fed up with the exploration, something I usually LOVE( I play a ton of puzzle games), that despite the fact the story was going to be getting good, I guess, I gave up. It felt like to much of a chore. With the announcement of the remake, I was wondering, who here actually finished it? It was a chore to get through at times, and the story payoff for most of the game did not exist. Maybe it all comes out in the final route, but played like 30+ hours without any of the REAL story being revealed, just a bit there, most of it was just romancing the ladies or a bad end.
  2. Hopefully with less plotholes than the original. While I did enjoy it, it bugs me that a series that tries to take itself seriously is so full of plot holes. I understand, with time travel, there always will be plot holes, but so many glaringly obvious ones.
  3. Yes, I read every route. I used a guide as well. I do not recall any murder. I only read it a few years ago(2011) Oh hm, I googled the CG set and it comes back to me, it's just the way he described it sounded vastly different from what I recalled.
  4. What are you talking about? I played Cross-Channel, all routes. The one with the radio tower and they're stuck in that alternative world, right? At the school? I saw no murders at all in that.
  5. Hmm, alright, thank you. Reading Majikoi right now and while it's fun, I usually prefer story heavy VNS and it seems I've read up on most of those besides a few for now.
  6. Yeah, I don't get it still, if they're already using the amazing translation, then the licensing and production costs are all this Kickstarter is for? Isn't that uh, what a company is for? I dunno, I just hate seeing bullshit like this on Kickstarter. It does not belong. Every company and their sister company is on Kickstarter these days, even ones with publishers, it's sickening what it has become. Like that Shenmue 3 recent "Double dip" kickstarter. That's the Twitter post I saw on Reddit and I very much disagree with this, and people are talking about stretch goals like not even translating Alternative? I mean, that's a waste. Muv Luv Extra is nice and all, but it's kinda shit compared to Unlimited / Alternative, so if you miss out on THAT...well, what is even the point? I read through all of them using Amat's translation and they were incredibly high quality, and I've not seen finer ones even in professionally translated VNs, so now hearing that they need all this money and are going to translate it again...I somehow feel like the new translation is going to be awful. Above posts mention they aren't re-using the old one. I see no reason for this, it'd be for their own benefit. Contact Amat, ask for the rights to it, say they'll be given credit, do a quick QC just incase, use the Kickstarter for Licensing and production costs(What even? The thing is already made, licensing costs should be it.), and just sell it with their patch once they have the rights to, and profit, far more than retranslating it would do. I just see no good cause to re-translate it. It made sense with something like Higurashi, because it had a shitty fan translation, but something like Muv Luvs? I just don't want another JAST USA situation on our hands. Also, reading through this topic abit more, people are saying it's going to censor the excessive violence and gore? The H was always censored, and I don't really care about that, but censoring the violence, gore and all that? In a game like Muv Luv? That's insanity. The whole VN is about hopelessness, to censor it...why? America has no problem with gore and blood. We hate nipples, surely, but we're ok with watching a TV series about someones organs being pulled out slowly and all that. It's cool this getting an Official release, more chance for people to play it, I think that's great, but so much already has me worried what with this talk of "Professional Japanese translators", and censored CG's.
  7. Huh? I just saw this on Reddit and it seems insane to me. Sekai Project is going to translate Muv Luv & it's sequels to English, and they need a Kickstarter to do so. But...it's been translated for years. Why not work off of that translation? Aquire it from the team? I'm sure they'd be happy to as long as they got credit. Muv Luv & It's sequels are not short games by any means, even with a professional company, it will take a long time and a ton of effort, when an already incredible translation is out there, QC'd and all. I loved Kickstarter a few years ago, now I am just depressed by it.
  8. I have a Korean friend on Steam(Claims to be Korean that is, I have no real idea) He has over 60 hours in the first Sakura game. I never played them, but isn't it like a 7-8 hour VN?
  9. Oh man, I posted here in hoping someone would prove me wrong and I somehow missed it and it was coming soon. Disappointing...I really loved the original.
  10. When I click the arrows it, it doesn't change, it appears the only font available? The default one is ok, but trying to read from a distance is rough.
  11. Haha...oh man, that'd be so terrible if they did it same day. I just don't understand, 2 years ago if the fan translation had been released, we all could've played this by now...but...nope, JAST USA decided we were better off never playing it.
  12. JAST USA is supposed to publish this. It has been fully translated for almost two years. It was supposed to be due out this month, but something weird happened... It's not on JAST USA's website anymore. No mention of the sequel to Eein no Aselia is present, anywhere on their website. Googling shows a blog post from March mentioning it being done and it would release soon, a Tweet said September after that, we're 2/3rds through of September and their website doesn't even have it showing up. JAST USA has been incredibly slow with all their releases, they take fan translations that are 100% completed and perfectly usable, usually the QC already done, and for some reason take years to release them, usually with the excuse that the fan translation was nearly entirely useless and so they had to do it all over(Which frustates me, because all the fan translated VNs I've read are usually incredibly well done, you don't fan translate an entire novel in your spare time and do it lazily, it's a major undertaking. I really wanted to play it, and it's weird because JAST USA usually has games up for pre-order months before release, this one supposedly has 10-11 days left to release and no mention, being fully translated 2 years ago...
