My name is Riley and I've been a huge fan of anime and Japanese culture for most of my life. Growing up, I didn't watch the "normal" American Saturday cartoons and instead, my father had me and my brothers watch anime. I haven't been able to imagine my life without anime and manga since. Presently, I'm what most would call a gamer. I play more competitive games like Dota2 and CS:GO but I will always make time for a new JRPG. I'm a huge fan of the Tales series and I can be heard pressuring my friends to play Fire Emblem games as well. My present hobbies besides gaming are drawing (not that good but rapidly improving) and watching whatever the current season of anime has to offer. The reason I'm at all interested in VNs is because some of the best anime I've ever watched is based off of a VN or light novel or both. I've honestly only played a few and they were rather recent so I can't say I have that much experience but I only just found out about Fuwanovel recently so I've got a few on my list to complete. I'd like to eventually volunteer my efforts in translating but I presently have no skills to offer but I want a career in localizing Japanese media so I figured this was a good place to figure out where to start.
