  1. 1 - Lily Satou (Katawa Shoujo) In my opinion, the perfect waifu. She's kind, dignified, intelligent, understanding, and patient beyond measure. 2- Kirigiri (Dangan Ronpa) Perhaps the most cleaver character in the entire series, without her guidance, you would have lost the game each and everytime. Add on to that her surprising kind side, and you have a great heroine. 3 - Emilia (Digital - A Love Story) 4 - Noel Vermilion (BlazBlue) A kind, if not ditzy woman, she has a never ending source of courage and determination, and 5 - Rena Ryuuguu (Higurashi) Yet another kind, ditzy girl, who is obsessed with anything cute, even if it's something no one else would like. However, she hides a darkness formed from childhood trauma, a darkness she struggles to fight and hide.
  2. In my opinion, a deeply philosophical mindset can only be a boon to our little community. Welcome, and enjoy.
  3. Mamatoto (https://vndb.org/v1860) and Koihime Musou Doki (https://vndb.org/v369) were very fun and challenging, so I think you'd enjoy them too.
  4. I've played my fair share of visual novels, but the only one that ever made me walk away was some scat and femdom game in which the girl forced the guy to eat her scat. I'm not really into femdom games to begin with, but I think I could find it alright if it had a good story behind it.
  5. Pretty much the only games I enjoyed grinding on is the Persona series, in which I needed to be a certain level in order to get the better personas, and Poke'mon, so I could evolve all my poke'mon and collect them all. Other than that, it can feel like a bit of a grind (yes, I went there) but I don't really mind it too much.
  6. I've never been able to play CSG, or even heard of it, seeing as I can only play translated games. I could only base my opinion based on the VNDB entry. Though I do wish to play it one day, if possible. It sounds very interesting.
  7. The description of ChuSinGura 46+1 reminded me a lot of Koihime Musou. Both have main characters who somehow go back in time to be the general to an army of female versions of famous historical generals. You should check it out.
  8. I have a bunch in a folder I keep on rotation. My current one: And some of my favorites:
  9. I would love to play the second one, but with it being a console game, I have little hope that it will ever be translated.
  10. Sounds like they're trying to appeal to the perceived Otaku audience. Why be original when you can keep doing what works?
  11. As both a fan of Visual Novels and RPG's, you can imagine how much I love melding the two together. SRPG's are basically Visual Novels with turn by turn gameplay. Some of my favorites are Bunny Black (https://vndb.org/v3947), Kamidori Alchemy Master (https://vndb.org/v5652), and Utawarerumono (https://vndb.org/v3). I would very much love to hear some other peoples thoughts on this genre, and your recommendations.
  12. With a sturdy laptop and lots of patience.
  13. Works for me. Is there anyway I can get that added to my profile?
  14. One that surprised me was Koisuru Oukoku (https://vndb.org/v110) It starts off innocent and nice, but about halfway through it loves to just torture and ruin every love interest you got invested in. Every. Single. One.
